《Hood Nigga Intentions》Chapter 23- The Message

"My nigga in trouble?" Kayden's ex, Natasha asked Chris as they spoke through her front door gate.
Chris then nodded his head eagerly, hoping Natasha would beat the shit out of Regina 'til she was unrecognizable.
Natasha and Kayden go way back, way before the word 'toxic' was thought of. The only thing that kept those two together were the messy, abusive fights. They loved to fight while arguing just to have make up sex and one day? It wasn't always them fighting. They had good moments from trapping together on the block and boosting from high end stores.
When they would hop in the engine ready car after stealing hundreds of expensive items, Natasha would watch Kayden's excitement as if it was the best thing she'd ever witnessed. The bright look in his expression made her feel happy. He'd buckle his seatbelt on and pull off before they could hear the sirens. As soon as the coast was clear, Kayden would abruptly pull over, unbuckle his belt, and crash himself into Natasha's lips with so much force as if he couldn't breathe another second without Natasha's soft lips.
She had long hair before but at that time she had it cut to the middle of her neck and always had her hair press silk. Slipping her hair behind her ear was mandatory thing. When she did this, you could see her blue butter fly tattoo on her light caramel, smooth skin. Her sexy eyelashes went long with her brown cat shaped eyes. Her body did this thing where it curved in all the right places, making it hard for Kayden to keep his hands off her short self.
He paired perfectly with Natasha because she was down for anything, no matter what. He adored her for being by his side rather than being alone in crimes. Peanut and Chris were still apart of his life but he connected to Natasha romantically and freely without any tension. Kayden knew he was in love the second he decided being with a girl was more enjoyable than being with his homeboys.
Kayden would watch Natasha when she wasn't looking all the time. Her neck, arm and chest tats made him even more infatuated. Each tattoo told a story created by Natasha's own life and that influenced Kayden to get a couple of his own.
Meaning, a lot.
They were that couple you'd be interested in learning about how they met.
The thrill of their heist and strong willed relationship ended when Kayden made awful mistakes in one night. She couldn't register how quick it happened. It was a home invasion that went completely wrong. They went in mask ready, searching the perimeter to make sure no one was home. As they rummaged through drawers, closets, and broke open safes with ease, a little boy submerged from his hiding place.
Four people lived there to be exact. Two adults, one child and a young girl around fourteen, fifteen.
The two adults were out on a date while one of the children were at their friends house for a sleep over. The babysitter had just left the house before being alerted that the parents were close by.

He knew there were strangers in his house but he seen the good in everyone and hoped if he asked nicely enough that the people would put his parents belongings back and leave. The little boy took small steps towards the loud sounds coming from the parent's bedroom. He rehearsed his last time and took a deep breath before stepping into the door way's brightness.
A shot rung out immediately before he could finish his sentence. Natasha whipped her head to the small body of a boy lying down on the floor flat on his back. The blood spilled from the back of his head and lips. a distraught scream escaped from her that caused Kayden to loosen his grip on the gun and rush to her to cover her mouth. He could feel her hyperventilating against his tightened chest. His ears rung loudly but he could still hear Natasha's muffled scream of terror. Kayden snapped out of caring for Natasha and rushed out a "let's go" to get out of that house.
Natasha couldn't move as her eyes glued on the lifeless tiny body in the hallway. Her legs buckled and began shaking tremendously. Kayden returned with everything inside his duffel bag. glaring at Natasha. In the inside he wanted to soften up and hold her, make her forget everything she saw but this was not the time to stop and mourn.
"NATASHA TAKE MY FUCKING HAND" He yelled reaching out for her. She finally looked up with the biggest, water filled eyes and took tiny steps to him. "Babe...." she whimpered as she grasped his hand and was soon yanked past the body. Natasha almost tripped but Kaydens strong grip and her hand against the wall on the right kept her up.
She looked back once and felt the urge to throw up those lifeless eyes bore into hers.
Kayden knew he had to get out of there faster than the wind but suddenly two people hopped out of a car parked in their drive way, unaware of what was going on. Once they turned their heads, they would see him and Natasha with no masks on. He looked back at Natasha quickly. She gave him the nod with stream of tears and shut her eyes super hard as four shots rung out in the middle of the cold dark night.
Kayden sped with Natasha in his grasp to the car, threw their loot in the trunk, hopped inside, and sped off to Kayden's place.
She felt like her chest was about to cave in every time the scene replayed in her head. Bringing her legs up to her chest, she leaned against the door and sobbed. He had killed a family
"Natasha.." Kayden spoke, forcing himself not to cry. He felt disappointed for letting himself go that far but what if it was the police sneaking up on them while they were inside? What if it was someone that could hurt him or Natasha? Jeopardize their future together? He had no choice. It was a mistake he could not take back.
But what was done, was done.
He pulled over in the middle of the road with trees surrounding them, turning the engine off. Kayden set the chair back and rubbed his temples with his hands before letting them rest on his face.

"Baby stop crying" he whispered as he reached out to pull her to him. She nudged away and stayed put.
"Babe... It was a mistake"
"A mistake? You took a family away, Kayden."
He was silent for a while.
Kayden felt the tears begin to grow even more and more.
He didn't mean it.
"Please...." Kayden's voice cracked in every letter he uttered. Natasha didn't know what to do. She lifted her head up and was locked into his eyes. Even in the darkness, she could see the water build up onto his eyes. His chest rose up and down suddenly.
"I-..I didn't mean it Natasha I swea- ..I swear" he choked up, holding onto his chest as he felt his heart break into a million pieces all at once. He screwed his eyes tight and began kicking and punching the steering wheel. Natasha flinched and wish she could melt into the door beside her. He roared even more, giving Natasha no choice but to get out the car. Abruptly, she unlocked the door and dashed down the street.
She never looked back nor did she hear him cry for her. Kayden's scream became an echo through the trees and the midnight air. Natasha was a fast runner and that made it hard for him to catch her.
He dashed after her, Of course, and slowed down once she was too far ahead and he was out of breath. His legs wobbled and gave up on him, causing him to fall to his knees. And soon enough he was drenched from the shower of rain above.
And his first love was gone for good.
The girl came home from the sleepover early, notifying her parents through text before she left the friend's house that she couldn't sleep there anymore due to the friend's parents fighting. She had her eyes glued to her phone until she came close to her house. Humming a tune, she noticed a pair of legs coming into view laid out onto the ground. Confusion struck her mind as she seen her parents car. Putting two and two together, her heart began to race faster than lightening.
Her father was laid out on the drivers side in a pool of blood. She felt her heart being squeezed out of her chest as she crept around the car and her mother was too. A terrifying scream escaped her lungs as she yelled for someone to call the police. Her first instinct told her to go check on her adopted brother. She could feel her legs begin to almost give up on her but she had to check on him, even if it meant she had to crawl.
As she ran into the house, her legs had finally given out. Taking in what she saw, the boy she was beginning to grow love for, had a bullet hole in the middle of his forehead. She screamed even louder and grasped the wall hoping it was all just a nightmare. Whoever had done this, took her whole life away in just one minute.
"You want me to fight her?" Natasha tilted her head to the side, furrowing her well done eyebrows. Chris popped his eyes open and eagerly nodded his head. She squinted her eyes at him before shrugging her shoulders.
"Fine."
And then she slammed the door in his face. Chris stood there completely oblivious and then he did a fist pump before dashing to his car and driving to Popeyes. He was confused as to why Kayden never called him back but he just assumed he was digging in Regina's guts while he was away.
"He better cherish that pussy cause my girl Natasha gon' stomp that bitch off the Earth word to my muva'" he muttered while swerving into the drive way. He grabbed everybody food and sped home. Chris refreshed his face expression and body language before letting himself into the house.
"Where the fuck was you?" Kayden sprung out of nowhere, making Chris drop the drinks. He sighed and walked over the mess to the dinner room.
"I was out running errands.. got the food last. Eat up" Chris said.
"Which one spicy?" Kayden said observing the big bag that smelled delicious.
"Open them and find out. I got calls to make. We got traps around the neighborhood so get dressed" Chris ordered roughly, grabbing his sandwich and speeding to the basement. Kayden scrunched his face up at Chris's back before he disappeared.
Gina placed her hand on Kayden's back gently, rubbing it soothingly. He turns around to pick her up by the waist and sets her on the dark marble island.
"We should throw a cookout" Gina suggested as she laced her arms around Kayden's neck as he stood between her legs.
"Oh you know how to grill?"
Gina giggled as she massaged his back.
"Yes sir."
"Im actually looking forward to some hamburgers and hotdogs made by my baby" He murmured, rubbing her thighs. Chris appeared from the basement in the doorway with a disgusted look.
"Fuck off my island with that love shit" He barked, causing Kayden to pull Gina off the island and into him. He glared at Chris while he walked past them and into the stash room.
"What's his problem?" Gina asked innocently as she stared up at Kayden. He softened his face expression when he stared into her eyes. "I don't know, he was out and about for a while. Probably was thinking about Kimberly and Peanut" he said, giving a hardened kiss to the top of her forehead.
"Now about this cookout" he began cracking his knuckles and she grinned. Chris sucked his teeth, causing them to turn their heads to him.
"A cookout? Girl....." He rolled his eyes and bit into his sandwich. "Actually? Yeah we can have that. Ima invite some people" Chris grinned to himself as they looked at him weirdly. "I'll go get the shit we need. It's gon be tomorrow. While i'm gone?spread the word cause I know I will be" Chris sped out the house, slamming the door.

Through Mist, Veil, and Summer
