**manga spoilers— kinda? idk. kinda making up my own shit too tbh but definitely borrowing and adding stuff in from the manga**
The bells on the door rang as I walked in, the sweet smell of coffee filling the air.
I could never get enough of this place.
I smiled at the young barista, she looked the same age as my first years, "Hi, I'll take an iced matcha."
"Mm, and a black coffee please," a man appeared next to me holding out his card. "I'll pay for these."
I tilted down my sunglasses to look at him, feeling pretty pissed and unamused today.
"I can pay for myself," I growled as I stared him down. His black eyes pierced into me, making my skin crawl.
"I'm sure you can, but I couldn't resist. Taking care of a beautiful woman like yourself, what a treat."
I rolled my eyes and walked off, feeling his presence following swiftly behind. He sat across from me at a small table and crossed his legs, staring at me with a smug grin.
We sat there silently until the server brought us our drinks, neither one of us breaking our gaze.
I couldn't put my finger on it, but this guy was scary as hell, and I wasn't about to show him any weakness.
"You intrigue me," he smirked as he took a sip of his drink.
I leaned my arms on the table, holding my head in my hands, "Do I know you?"
He chuckled, "I don't believe so, but perhaps. What's your name?"
I sat back as I thought it over. I had thought about this moment nonstop... Meeting someone for the first time after learning about my true identity.
"Sato," I introduced myself.
His cold eyes began to glimmer, a smile curling up on his lips, "Really?" He leaned in, "Family name?"

"Mm."
"I knew some Sato's. I wonder if there's any relations."
"I doubt it," I huffed. "It's a common name."
"May I know your first name?"
I glanced up at him from over the top of my cup, taking my first sip, "Y/n."
"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl."
"Your turn," I mumbled.
"Are you sure you want to know?"
My heart raced as he hissed those words, sending shivers down my spine. The aura oozing off him was unlike anything I had ever experienced... and honestly, I was terrified of him.
He laughed, "Geto. Maybe you've heard of me?"
Every part of me froze. It felt like my heart stopped. My muscles tensed as I held my breath, afraid he would strike me down with a single blow if I dared to move.
I had never seen him before, only heard the name and the stories... Satoru's best friend. The one he had cried and mourned for.
The most famous curse-user of our time. Maybe ever.
I glanced around the small cafe, calculating the amount of people who were here. How many lives would be loss if I let this get out of control.
I was in a chess match now— a game where I wasn't the one controlling the rules. We'd been playing all along, and I was already behind.
"I'll take your silence as a yes," he smirked.
"I never thought I'd have the honor."
"Mm, well my dear, after seeing how you've grown, how could I possible stay away? And embracing your clan?" he laughed softly. "Your parents would be proud."
I desperately tried to swallow the lump in my throat, "W-what do you want?"
Shit. My voice cracked, and whatever persona I thought I was pulling off obviously wasn't working. I couldn't compare to him.

I felt like a fly caught in a spider's web. A meal just helplessly awaiting my fate.
"Put simply?" he leaned in closer. "You."
"Sorry Geto, as handsome as you are, I'm currently unavailable," I teased with a small smirk, trying to get back into character.
He laughed and leaned back, crossing his legs with confidence, "Y/n, that'll come later dear. First, I need your technique and your name. Are you ready to actually do something meaningful?"
"Meaningful how?" I knew I would never join him. But if this was an opportunity to get information, then I would continue to play along and just it wouldn't backfire.
"So they told you your name, but they didn't tell you your purpose? How disappointing."
he traced the rim of his cup lightly with his finger, "See, I've taken on the goal of the Sato clan, and it's time for you to join me. I am the reason you're still alive, after all."
"What goal?"
He smirked, "To eradicate the world of all non-sorcerers."
"As in kill?" I whispered with wide eyes. I knew he was a curse user, but I didn't know that's what he was working towards...
Did everyone else already know? Was that really what the Sato clan was trying to accomplish?
It made me sick to my stomach.
"Yes. Kill," he licked his lips as he leaned in close to me, brushing his fingers against my cheek. "Do you remember the feeling? The bloodlust? I've always killed out of necessity, but you Sato's, you always kill out of joy. Isn't that right?"
"What game are you playing, Geto?" I hissed, losing my composure almost completely.
"No game. Non-sorcerers are the reason curses are born to begin with. If they didn't exist, your people would still be alive today. There'd be no inbalance of power with jujutsu high & the clans. Everyone would be equal."
"But the cost—"
He cut me off, "The lion does not feel bad for the lamb. It's simply the laws of nature. The strong survive."
"I have no interest in protecting the strong."
I stood up quickly and raced out the door, practically at a full sprint. His energy was darkening by the second, and I wanted him to chase me. I wanted to get as far away from any civilians as possible.
"And what about Satoru?" he asked as he appeared just a few feet in front of me.
I had turned into a small alley and had no idea how he showed up the way he did.
"Do you have any interested in protecting him?" he continued. "How about saving him?"
"If you even go near him, I'll kill you," I hissed, already getting into an attack stance.
The truth was, I didn't know if I could beat Geto. Him and Satoru were head to head for so long, and I still didn't know much at all about him.
"Then let's make a deal. You come with me, and I'll
make sure your precious Gojo is no longer targeted."
"Targeted?" I whispered. "The special grade curses, they're working with you?"
"More like working for me," he snarled as he inched his way closer. "So, what do you say?"
Satoru could handle himself, especially with me by his side. I didn't need to go with Geto. What I needed was a way out of this.
I needed an escape, and I needed to get back to Satoru and warn him as quickly as possible.
"Don't you want to avenge your family?" he smiled, only inches away now.
My family is Satoru.
He must have seen the flicker of light in my eyes because his face turned ice cold, and his voice spat at me like venom.
"Wrong choice."
