《The Bride of Gojo Satoru》Chapter 6

Early in the morning at the dining table, I glared at Gojo from where I sat as I sipped my drink. "Why are you looking at me like that? What did I do?" He asked worriedly, shifting his eyes on me then to Naozumi and back to me.
Luckily, Naozumi was minding his own business, eating his breakfast. I didn't have to worry about him asking us questions.
Last night, Gojo didn't hold back from any power moves. I'm so glad that my legs were still working without a problem... But he gave me too many love bites from my chest and neck. I had to wear a turtleneck to cover it up. "Don't play coy with me...!" I hissed intensely, shooting daggers at him without triggering my cursed eyes by accident. "You should've been careful about marking me. Have you no shame that we're going to be with the other children? It's embarrassing to think about. Of course, they're not going to ask what's on my neck but still!"
All Gojo did was snicker at my flustered face. "You know me, I don't have any shame! I'm proud of who I am and who my woman is." He threw a green grape into his mouth and grinned.
"Ugh..." I rolled my eyes.
After breakfast, we took a train to Harajuku. "Mommy, where are we going?" Naozumi sat in between me and Gojo on the train.
"We're going to see what daddy does at work." I smiled from my little sunshine and up to Gojo, who I know doesn't do his work and gives it to his students. "Are you going to show our little boy how powerful you are, dear?"
Gojo nervously sweat in his seat. "Of course! Daddy is very strong!" He began talking about himself and his job to Naozumi until our train stopped in Harajuku.
Getting off the train station, Naozumi held mine and Gojo's hand. It was a small trio family. "Mommy, daddy, I see big brother!" Our son gleamed, ready to stick by Megumi's side like glue.
"Be careful with big brother okay? Remember he's still injured." I reminded Naozumi and he nodded.
Gojo announced his presence to Megumi and Yuji. "Thanks for coming! Oh—" He suddenly stopped and talked to Yuji about his school uniform.
"Big brother!" Naozumi jumped to Megumi, giving him a light hug.
"Hey, little buddy. Why are you here?" Megumi looked shocked to see us bringing our son. I'm pretty sure he's thinking what I thought yesterday: 'why would you bring Naozumi into dangerous turfs?'
"Ask Satoru," we looked over at Gojo who's happily chatting with Yuji. "He's the one who brought up this crazy idea. He wants to see if our little dude can see spirits, so he can train Nao into a sorcerer like us."
Megumi seemed unimpressed by his logic. "It's still dangerous for him to be exposed like that. Spirits tend to prey on young children." I'm so glad someone was on my side. Megumi's thinking was down to earth and realistic like mine. Gojo, on the other hand, was from another world—hands down, he's an alien.
"Right! I don't know how Nao's going to react..."
After some time of waiting for Gojo's last student, we were cruising around Harajuku. Naozumi decided to latch himself to Megumi while I clumped myself with Gojo and Yuji.
"Yuji, how often does he come out." I didn't want to say his name or else he would appear because I called him out, and he has a weird obsession with me.

Yuji thought for a moment, recalling the times when Sukuna decided to interfere with his life. "Mmm... Not that often. He rarely comes out—"
Sukuna giggled uncontrollably out of nowhere. "I see you bore a son. Maybe when I kill your husband, I'll take that child's life too."
The three of us hauled our tracks and glanced at each other to see if we heard it right. "Did he say he's going to kill our son?"
"That's what I heard too."
"Sorry! I didn't know he'd come out!" Yuji apologized, feeling guilty of this turning event.
Right before I was going to blast him off, Gojo did it first. No one's going to threaten our family, especially our son. "Listen here, Sukuna... She's not a cougar."
I gasped as my eyes widened. "Satoru, I don't think Sukuna knows slang words... And I can't believe you called me out like that." His words kind of pierced my feelings. I would never date younger men if I was single. I like dating men my own age or older. "I thought you were gonna be serious but I guess not. You kind of disappointed me when Sukuna threatened our son. I expected more from you!"
"Wait! How did this turn to me?!" Gojo's hands wildly gestured around the air. "I was going to get to my point! You didn't let me finish!"
"It didn't sound like it! You came out saying I'm not a cougar. You really could've said something better."
"You sure you don't want to be my queen? I'll treat you better than that sorcerer."
Gojo and I scowled at his talking mouth on Yuji's face. "Shut up, Sukuna!" We both said in unison.
Pointing at Sukuna's mouth, I didn't hold back at all. "Threaten my child one more time, then I swear to burn you into crisp like Nozomi did to you!" I didn't hesitate to hurt Sukuna's feelings after all, he is a demon and he started this.
Clap clap clap
"That's my baby!" Gojo pulled me to his side after clapping, feeling proud to have me as his partner. However, I wasn't going to easily be swayed by his support. He needed to do a better job at being baleful. I know he can do it, but for some reason he sucks.
"Get on my level, Satoru. I can't keep handling all situations like when we were younger." I moved out of his arm and went to find Naozumi and Megumi.
"Hi, mommy!" Naozumi sat with Megumi as he ate his popsicle. "Where's daddy?"
"He's doing his own little thing right now..." I chuckled nervously, trying to forget what happened earlier. I prayed to god Naozumi wasn't like his father. Since he's with me all the time, he's going to grow up under my influence. "I hope you turn out like me, snowbear." My hand ruffled his white locks.
"But I am like you, mommy. I have your eyes! That's what daddy says. Did you know daddy talks about you a lot in my room? He said it's a 'man to man' conversation."
My curiosity peaked. I wondered what they exchanged. "What did daddy say?" What kind of secrets did they keep from me? I have to know. I hope Naozumi tells me because I'm his mom, and who cares about the dad. I'm the better one.
"I'm going first." Megumi headed out before it even started. He didn't want to hear anything that'll scar his poor ears which was understandable.

"Daddy asked if I wanted another sibling. He said I could be a big brother to a little sister or a little brother."
My face froze. Me getting pregnant again? Another baby inside of me? Gojo wanted another child? He almost missed Naozumi's birth! I'm never going through round two. Round one was scary to begin with.
"I like being an only child, but daddy keeps convincing me that it'll be nice to have another brother or sister in the house." It didn't sound like Naozumi cared to be an older brother. He sounded so neutral in a sense where if I magically get pregnant, then he'll accept his fate as a big brother.
"Baby, is that all he told you about?" There's gotta be more than just adding another child into the family. "I'm pretty sure there's more."
"Sorry, mommy that's all I can say. Daddy said I can't tell anyone. It's only between us men!" My heart shattered. Naozumi learned how to keep secrets away from his own mother. I am hurt. He's too young to do this. He's supposed to be a mama's boy!
Pulling Naozumi into my arms, I tried to convince him to think otherwise. Let's hope cradling him and feeling sad will do the trick. "Snowbear, you really can't tell mommy? I'm very sad to hear that you're keeping secrets from me." I lowered to his level and tilted my head next to his.
"Sorry, mommy, I can't."
"Pretty please? With a cherry on top?"
"Nope. I promised daddy so I can't break it. Maybe you should have another baby since I'm busy with daddy." My jaw dropped from this little boy's sass. He totally got that from me because Gojo couldn't be a little savage like us. Did I really sound like that to others? I should be mad, but I'm a bit proud of him. He learned the best and got the best genes from me. He's a mama's boy for sure.
"Snowbear, we'll see if you'll get another sibling..." I forcefully said, not knowing how to reply to him.
"Honey!" Gojo skipped over to us with flowers dropping in the background. "We got our final member of the group!" He gestured to the only girl in their small class, and we both exchanged names with each other. "Now we're doing a Tokyo tour of Roppongi!"
I noticed Kugisaki and Yuji's faces looked like they were on cloud nine. Their facial expressions softened as if something or someone touched their soul. Gojo probably tricked them. It's the only way for his students to listen. Standing right beside Gojo, I whispered to him, "You're a bad teacher."
"No, I'm not. I'm their best teacher they'll ever have!"
"In that case... You're a bad father too. You taught Nao to keep secrets from his own mom." I glared and Gojo whistled away as his head twisted to the opposite side.
Once we arrived at the hot spot of Roppongi, Yuji and Kugisaki complained about being manipulated. We stood in front of a cursed building. The purple aura showed in our gifted eyes.
"Naozumi, do you see anything at the building? Anything weird? Like purple shadow?" Gojo asked, describing what we were seeing into easier vocabularies for Naozumi to comprehend.
"Yeah I do! The purple is very big. There's also small monsters." Naozumi clung onto Gojo's leg, feeling a bit scared from seeing these creatures. He wasn't on the verge of crying, but he was scared and confused.
"Babe, you shelter him too much." Today it felt like Gojo's been wanting to pick a fight with me.
"Satoru, don't even start. All shamans take information differently."
"Hey Naozumi, don't be afraid. One day, you can be as strong as me, Fushiguro, Kugisaki, your dad and mom! Even though I'm new, I have a long way to go. If you start practicing now, then you can get stronger and protect others!" Yuji gave our son a pep-talk, and it was heartwarming to see him easily adapting to his new environment. Yuji even beamed a smile at him, making Naozumi relaxed under his new pressure.
Nudging at Gojo, I said something which ticked him off. "Are you really Naozumi's father?"
Gojo slipped up his blindfold and stared at me in bewilderment and displeasure. He didn't hide his facial expression either. His jaw dropped, eyes narrowed, and a tick mark was visibly seen on his forehead. Before he gave me an earful, Gojo pulled down his blindfold and gave his instructions to the two newbies. Then he informed Megumi to watch over our son because he has some private business with me. Gojo dragged me off to an isolated area.
This time his blindfold was off, and he pinned me against a wall as his face leaned closer to mine. I couldn't let his brash manner make me weak-kneed, but he looked so hot when he took the force. Ugh, butterflies were released in my stomach; they were having a party in there
"Why're you looking away?" Gojo grabbed a hold of my jaw, forcing me to look at him as his beautiful eyes stared into mine.
"I wasn't. What's up with you?" I calmly asked, feeling his hand slide down to my neck, underneath my jaw and lightly applied pressure. My back straightened from his new profound boldness he developed. I didn't think public kink was his thing.
Instantly, his hand on my neck dropped as well as his act, and he started brooding on my shoulder. Gojo's secured his arms around me, not wanting to let me go. "Babe... Do you think I'm not a good father or partner?" I literally recalled times where he carried our son by his foot for fun. Naozumi dangled in the air, hanging upside down and laughing from the quirkiness of his father. He also left Naozumi at the store once too. I didn't even understand how someone can forget their child at the store, but somehow he did. I was so close to kicking him out of his own family house for giving me major anxiety. The list goes on and on.
"Well..." I debated what to say. I could list out the worse things, but he's just a cool and carefree dad. It's a nature of his that he cannot change. "I know you can be a good father and partner. Maybe it's just me expecting more from you since I'm physically there to witness it like you calling me a cougar. You could've played that one differently, but I like to see you take charge..." I whispered out the last sentence, admitting to him that I like him more dominant than submissive. Unaware that my ears were turning red, he began poking fun at me.
"What was that?" Gojo pulled back and sneered. His mood switched up too quickly for me to handle.
"Satoru... Let's finish this later! I don't want the others to wait!" I nervously laughed, not wanting to be a victim of his love attacks. I tried pushing him away from me but he kept pulling me back. This was a game of tug-o-war.
"But baby, they can wait just a little longer. I'm kind of stressed because of Sukuna...." He innocently cooed in my ear, and I knew I was in for a long run.
After five minutes, we finally came back to Megumi and Naozumi. Megumi minded his own business as Naozumi came running to his dad's lap. Gojo and Naozumi were talking about seeing spirits, educating the little one about the world he's been put into.
"Honey, I'm going to start training our son. When are you going to teach him your eyes?"
"Not until he's around nine or ten. Having the cursed eyes takes practice to control. I don't want him to accidentally use it, so he's going to be wearing sunglasses soon."
Moments later, a cursed spirit jumped out of the window. "Look, Naozumi! That's what a cursed spirit looks like! You'll be slaying those when you're older like brother Megumi!" Gojo pointed and Naozumi looked in awe.
"Wow! It's so furry! Is that really a cursed spirit?"
Megumi and I shared eye contact for a moment. I'm pretty sure he was thinking what I was thinking: 'he thinks cursed spirits are cool?' Naozumi is Gojo's son too, so I suppose they have some weirdness in them.
"It's going to die. Look!" The monster shot out a painful cry as it slowly burned from getting killed.
"Wow, daddy! I can't wait to be a sorcerer too!" Naozumi's golden eyes twinkled like stars at night.
"He's definitely his son..." Megumi mumbled in observation, and I nodded to his statement.
At the end of it all, we all went out to eat some sushi. Walking to the sushi place, I asked Gojo a serious question. "You have money right? I know you're not broke when you buy expensive shirts..."
He immediately laughed, making me think he does have enough money to pay for the six of us. "Well yeah! I'm the most powerful sorcerer! I have to get paid a lot for saving people's lives!"
My eyes darted towards the kiddos talking to Naozumi. "If that's the case..." I cupped my hands around my mouth. "Hey kids, get anything you want! Gojo-sensei is rich!"
"YES! YOU'RE THE BEST!" The group jumped in place, and Gojo stared at me in fear through his blindfold as his lips slightly parted from gravity.
"Don't look sour! You said you get paid a lot for saving people! Didn't you say you're the best teacher too?"

Of Gods and Dungeons
March 16, 2021 - Hiatus note: I will come back to this story! I'm really struggling with it, though. It's been a number of years and I kind of forgot what the original outline was. I still remember the main path, but not any of the details, because I stupidly didn't write an outline. Progress is being made. I'd like a very decent sized buffer before I start posting again. Don't want to get hopes up only to immediately disappoint! ----- Amy Barnes, an aspiring chemical researcher, finds herself dying from cancer. One of her most desperate prayers is answered in a way that she'd never dreamed possible, and she finds herself living a new life as a dungeon. Warning: Violence, morbidity Cover: Taken from here, courtesy of www.pexels.com by photographer @tookapic. Author's Note: I've read some dungeon core stories on here, and they've tickled my fancy. I've thought up a whole story, start to finish, and thought it'd be a blast to put it into words. Other than the violent and morbid aspects, this story is suitable for children. Aside from the vocabulary, that is. I will avoid the temptation to have any cursing, sexuality, or gore. Excessive gore, I suppose - it is a dungeon story, after all. I’ll do a little research from time to time, but this story will not have a great deal of rigor. I’ve made Amy’s knowledge comparable to my own for that reason. There’s a few things she knows more about than I do, and a few things that she knows less about. Unlike me, she doesn’t have access to Google - it’s a non issue for her to be more knowledgeable than me, on occasion :P This story does not use the same magic system that I’ve used in either Sorcery in Boston or A Summoner’s Confession. This one is mostly intention based, and designed to be easier access for people who are more used to the idea of, “It’s magic, therefore it works” kind of thinking. Do note that Amy is, in most senses of the term, overpowered. This goes along with the usual dungeon core stories. She’s not more powerful than other dungeons per se, but she does have knowledge and intelligence that puts them to shame. I thought about doing this in a LitRPG style, but systems take balance, and I wanted this to be pure fun to write. This story was inspired from a few sources. Despite the title, it wasn’t really inspired by Of Mice and Men, though some of the themes match. Rather, I’ve taken inspiration from a few dungeon core novels on Royal Road Legends for the main idea. Many conventions of dungeon core stories have been perverted from the genre, however. I’ve taken my usual science-loving self to town to play around with the powers, and I can only hope you have half as much fun reading this as I have had writing it.
