Kalons pov
I woke up alone - did that surprise me? Absolutely not.
But I was still slightly upset with Vance. Did he not see it was for him...? My head hurt at those thoughts.
It began pounding. I wanted to protect him!
There was a soft knock on the door as Adorjan came in, calming me down instantly.
I had a slight headache still - I was grateful for Adorjans calm voice.
"How are you feeling?" He spoke softly as he sat at the end of the bed. I shrugged. He brushed my blond hair off my forehead. I watched his beautiful green emerald eyes before I glanced to the floor to avoid eye contact.
"Is everyone okay?" I mumbled.
He sighed, making me feel terrible.
"River might be a little questionable, and he's really weak right now. You knocked him out pretty hard, but he's tough." I didn't say anything; I kept my head low.
Vance knocked on the door, holding his phone to his ear. "Kalon...your aunt is on the phone."
My stomach dropped; there were a million reasons she could be calling. I panicked.
He covered the speaker. "Do you wanna talk to her?"
I forced a swallow, putting on a fake face as if I didn't just almost kill River. I nodded as he handed me the phone. Adorjan gripped my thigh, giving me a nod of reassurance.
"Hi, Aunt Lila...." I spoke softly.
"Hey, sweetheart! How is everything going there?"
I glanced at Vance - I couldn't tell her the truth. Would Vance want me to tell her the truth?
"Erm, it's okay - everyone is great here. I like it."
"Oh, I'm so glad, dear - you know how I am. I'm just always so worried about you."

I let out a nervous chuckle.
"Mr. Haven was telling me about your studies, and he said you were being so kind to all the other boys and helping around the house. He's a charmer, ain't he?"
I glared at Vance - what has he said to my aunt...
"I know you're not a fan of the ladies, so don't go gettin any ideas for Mr haven." My cheeks lit up with embarrassment...if only she knew.
Vance snickered, and Adorjan rubbed my thigh with a smirk.
"I won't, Aunt Lila..."
"Oh dear, do you have any idea when you'd be allowed back home. I'm missing you lots, hun."
That thought hasn't even entered my head. I've never been allowed to leave a home. I was always forced to.
Vance must've heard because he pushed himself off the doorframe.
"U-uhm, I'm not sure, Mr erm Haven might know..." my voice came off shaky. I was crossing my fingers, praying she didn't catch it.
"Is everything alright, Kalon baby?"
"Erm, yea - oh, here's Mr haven; maybe you should ask him." I mumbled quickly, "Bye, Lila, love you."
Vance quickly caught the phone as I threw it to him.
"What's the issue?" I could hear her response as she politely asked.
"Well, he's benefiting well being here, and some of the other boys are much better with him around. I think it'll be best if he's here a little while longer." Vance put a fake smile on even though she couldn't see him.
I could tell she sounded hurt, but I would be broken if I had to leave them...I know that's probably wrong...she's my blood, my family. He left the room, finishing up the call.
But these boys are my whole world. Blue just came here, but I know he will fit right in. I couldn't wait for my turn with him.

The twins and their bashful submissiveness around me. But also, their gentle kindness always made me more comfortable.
Eli was there when I first arrived. Everything was flipped around for me. He calmed my nerves and made me feel at ease. His adorable cuddles, I wouldn't live without.
Milo, his shyness, it was fun how vocal he was when we played; he was always so bashful; I know he needs me; when Declan and Adorjan are too much, he can come to me.
Declan was flat-out scary...he could put me on my knees in an instant, but he had the exact caring boyfriend figure; let's be honest, none of the boys would live without him. We all needed Declan.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by Adorjan, who now began kissing down my neck.
"You okay?" He mumbled.
"Yeah, just thinking..."
"About?"
"There's no way I'd be able to live without you guys..."
He smiled.
"You know, you took my virginity...well, Cassian did. You make me feel so comfortable. I couldn't live without you."
"I'm sorry about that, by the way...." Adorjan rubbed the back of his neck.
"Please don't be. It was wonderful."
I smiled.
"But you're my whole world, same with Vance none of us would be here without him. I don't wanna leave you guys." Adorjan sighed. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"What?"
"N-nothing." He stuttered. Adorjan never stuttered.
Something was up.
"Adorjan...tell me," I ordered.
"Uhm, well - Vance had a call with cps." I raised an eyebrow. Where was he going with this?
He knows something I don't.
"Cps is worried Vance won't be able to handle you anymore.
They're looking to replace you....But don't worry..."
I swore my heart stopped beating.
His voice was drowned out. I could barely hear his words.
It all happened...my head started pounding.
My body started shaking.
Horrid thoughts were rushing through my head.
He doesn't even want to try...
I'm too much for him.
"H-he wants to give up on me...?" My voice was quivering.
My whole body was trembling aggressively.
"Kalon..."
My mind was swarmed. I felt out of place suddenly. Like they all belonged here, Vance loved and cared about them because they were easy.
But for me...no...I'm too difficult.
"Leave..." I mumbled.
Was I in any place to tell him what to do?
I should be the one leaving. I'm the one who doesn't belong here.
"Kalon you need to let me-"
"Get the fuck out Adorjan! Or I'll leave."
"Baby..."
"Don't call me that!" I heated up my hands so he could see the bright red heat, only enough to get him out.
He nodded, hanging his head low.
I felt so out of place, why am I surprised, I always felt that way...every school, every home, the only difference was I thought this one was different.
But I thought wrong.
Vance was giving up.
They are giving up on me...

What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Aaron wanted to know everything, he asked everything until one question did it for Aaron as he found himself passed out from the help of Althea's distant eyes and woke up in his tent by George. "Was it a dream?" He asks himself dreadfully. A question that will have him explore his character, his purpose, his beliefs, his trust, and his friendships.
