"Mr.Wood?"
Matthias looked up from his phone seeing Dr.Miller standing there smiling "You can come in" She said, walking back into her office.
Dr.Miller was the best child psychologist in the city. She and her husband were the best therapists in the city. Matthias was glad when Kimmy recommended her to him because he was lost.
Finding a good child psychologist was hard, you had to make sure your child was comfortable with them the most and that they were actually doing their job.
He stood up from the couch, putting his phone into his pocket before grabbing his coat. He walked into her office, closed the door behind him then walked to sit next to Ken on the couch.
"Look what Dr.Miller got me" She smiled, showing him the black barbie doll. He smiled "I see"
Dr. Miller sat in her chair, in front of them with her notepad "Okay Ken, your daddy is in her now. You wanna keep talking about what we were talking about before?" She asked.
Kennedi looked at him and nodded before sitting in his lap.
"We were talking about how daddy makes you feel..." She drew out.
"Happy" Kennedi beamed, making Matthias genuinely glad. It took a little weight off his shoulders to hear that since he didn't think he was doing his best with her at times.
"And mommy makes you feel..." She drew out again.
Matthias watched Kennedi's face, her smile dropped. He could see the visible sadness it brought her when Cora was brought up.
"Sad and mad," She said lowly, making his heartache. He rubbed her back to give her a sense of comfort, seeing her mood was not the same now.
"And why is that sweetie?"
"Because she always yelled at me and called me a liar," She said lowly again, fixing her doll's hair.
"Do you know why she always yelled at you or called you a liar?"
"Because she doesn't like me" She mumbled, her little voice starting to crack.
"Who told you that?"

"She did. She said she didn't like me because I was a liar and was jealous of her" She sighed.
"You're not a liar Ken, why did she say that?"
"The day she forgot about me, I told her how her boyfriend wanted to play doctor but I didn't like that game, it wasn't fun" She scrunched her face up.
Matthias' heart dropped, his breathing started to pick up. He started to bite the inside of his cheek before he exploded.
"How do you play doctor?"
"You take all of your clothes then you do a check up. He said I was supposed to make him feel good because he was sick. I didn't want to, so he said he was going to make me feel good." She explained.
"He tried to touch my no-no square," She said, pointing to the barbie dolls private area "My daddy told me nobody is supposed to touch me there and I didn't want to play anymore." She said, looking up at her dad to see if she was right. He nodded.
Matthias felt his blood boiling, his heart was broken thinking how scared and uncomfortable she was.
"When I told him I didn't want to play anymore he got really mad and-and tried to make me play but stopped when my mommy came home. I told her but she said I was trying to be fast and-and yelled at me, calling me a liar but I-I swear I wasn't lying!" She started to cry.
"Daddy you have to believe me, I promise I wasn't lying" She hugged him tightly and cried. He started rapidly blinking, trying to hold back his tears "I believe you Mami" he rubbed her head.
Dr.Miller handed him some tissues as she wiped her tears away. Sometimes hearing these things still got to her.
"She-she said that she-she hated me because I want to be her and how she hoped someone would hurt me and-and she was leaving me so someone can" She sobbed on his chest.
Matthias was sick to his stomach. How could someone do that to a child they carried for 9 months. A child that didn't ask to be here. What kind of mother does not believes her child when they say someone tried to rape them.

"I-I'm so sorry Mami. I'm sorry" He choked-out, holding her tightly, letting his tears just spring free. He didn't know what else to do but apologize. He knew it wasn't his fault since he didn't do it to her but as a father, he couldn't help but apologize
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you angel" He sniffed, rubbing her back as she continued to sob.
He pulled back to wipe her tears "Nobody is ever going to be able to hurt you again, Daddy promises. Okay?" He said seriously.
"You promise they're not going to hurt you too?" She sniffled.
"Hurt me?" He asked confusedly.
She nodded "Randy said if I told you then he was going pew pew you," She said, teary eyed again.
Matthias clenched his jaw "I promise nobody is going to hurt you or me okay?" He tried to keep his composure so that she wouldn't see it.
On the inside, he was going insane. He wanted nothing more than to go out and find both Cora and Randy to rip them limb to limb.
"Okay daddy" She hugged him tightly.
"Why didn't she believe me? Why does she hate me?" She broke down, breaking his heart even more.
"I-I don't know Mami." He didn't know how to answer that since he himself didn't know what kind of mother would do this.
"I'ma always protect you, okay? Daddy always gotchu, okay?" He said, kissing the top of her head.

Ailani nudged Matt, snapping him out of his daze as they sat on the bench on the playground. "You okay?" She asked then glanced back to the playground.
He cleared his throat "Yeah," He replied.
She eyed him "You sure?"
"What did you do today?" He asked, changing the subject off of him. Sometimes when they talked, he felt like he was dumping all his baggage on her.
"Well today's my dad's birthday, I went to see him and my brother. Pretty much it, I went out to lunch with my granny too" She nodded.
"You're a strong person," Matt said. He admired how no matter what, she always kept a smile on her face.
He had a great childhood so hearing about her and seeing how she never lets it defend herself was expiring to see.
She chuckled "Thank you"
"How was her session today? Did she open up?" She asked. Matt swallowed the lump in his throat.
He looked at Kennedi as she went down the slide with Sarayah and sighed "Yeah"
Lani's face softened, seeing maybe he heard what he was scared to hear "You need a hug?" She asked, holding her arms out.
He nodded, wrapping his arms around her. "It's going to be okay. She's safe now" She rubbed his back.
"Mommy!" They heard. Lani quickly pushed Matt away and looked ahead at Rayah and Kennedi running towards them.
"What's wrong? Y'all okay?" She asked alert, Matt chuckled at them looking at her like she was weird.
"We're just hungry," Rayah giggled.
Lani sucked her teeth "You can't be calling me like that if nothing is wrong" She shook her head, grabbing her purse.
"Daddy, Rayah not going to school tomorrow" Kennedi smiled, He smiled back "What that gotta do with you going to school tomorrow?"
Her smile dropped "Unt unt, don't do my friend like that" Lani chuckled, standing up from her spot on the bench.
"Pleaseeeeee" She begged, pulling on his hand as they walked to their cars.
"You don't wanna go to school just because Rayah ain' goin' " He shook his head.
"Exactly" Ken and Rayah both said.
"If Rayah jumps off a bridge, are you going to jump with her?" He asked.
"Maybe" She shrugged.
"Wait," Lani laughed.
Matt shook his head "Exactly why you are going to school. That's the wrong answer" He mushed her head.

The Start of a Unusual Life in an Alternate Reality(Soul-AR. You know like solar)
"You ever wake up and just know that day is gonna be f****d?" Our protaganist is dealing with what we like to call, "Summoned Hero Syndrome", its when someone is kidnapped to an alternate reality/world/plane/or dimension and they start to narrate their life as if its a book. This is a story of his minds auto-biography. A story of action, adventure, intrigue, gore, comedy, videogames, references, and possible sexy fun times. A.N: This is my first story and possibly my only one and it may never become finished. Please excuse any spelling and grammar mistakes. Im doing this on my phone and i hate the small ass keypad. Hope you enjoy readings and even if i may not like it feel free to give your opinions and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS. I dont care for those who are being assholes that are non-helpful. I only care for the people who are helpfull. So if ur a smartass be so while helping. Also idk if im gonna add a harem. Some stories should have em while others shouldnt cause they cause a huge detraction, hope im using that right, from how good a book can be.

2nd Floor
Matthias is a struggling writer finally able to move into his first solo apartment. He's thrilled to have a place free of roommates and siblings, even though the building is decrepit and is inhabited by an odd assortment of people including an intrusive neighbor, a little girl who wanders freely, and an overweight orange cat named Cheese. As Matthias settles in things begin getting stranger. Something vile is growing in the dark and it's coming from somewhere on the second floor... where Matthias happens to live.Author's note: this is me trying to get back to my roots: a character driven novella with horror elements. I have no idea how often I'll update or even exactly how this will all go down because y'girl is a panster. So strap in because this is the first draft and you all get to see it being born!Feel free to comment whatever comes to mind, and helpful critiques are always welcome.
