"Don't fall."

Blu took deep breaths, shaking her hands beside her. As the principal continued calling the scholar names, she stood in line waiting. It was finally the day of all days that everyone was waiting for; graduation. Blu was extremely nervous to walk across the stage and grab her diploma. All she kept thinking was what if she fell or what if she walked out at the wrong time.

"Ion think I can do this." She muttered to herself, moving up in the line. She look down at herself making sure she look good.

She was wearing her blue gown and had her blue cap on her head. Underneath her gown, she had on a short brown tight fitted dress, black heels on her feet. She was dressed beautifully, but her nervousness was taking a toll on her. Feeling someone hands wrap around her neck, she turned around to see Brittney.

"Relax, sissy. We got this." She told her, Blu smiling at her sister.

"Blu Randals." The principal finally called her name. She took another deep breath before walking on stage. She walked to her vice principal talking a picture with her. After taking her diploma, she headed down the stairs carefully then waited for her sister.

"Brittney Sims." The principal called her name and Brittney walked out too. People muttering under their breaths as they watch the five month pregnant teenager walk across the stage. Usually, she would mind what people thought about her, but today she didn't care.

She was happy as she walk down those stairs while holding her diploma. She meet with Blu, the two of them hugging each other. They held hands and continued walking down the aisle and back to their seats.

A couple more names were called and now Jahseh was at the front of the line. Unlike Blu, he wasn't nervous, he was actually happy. This was the moment he was waiting for and now he was standing in the front line. His family was sitting in the crowd, waiting for his name to be called. He had came a long way and he was happy.

"Jahseh Smith." His name was called and loud screaming and clapping was heard. He came out with a smile on his face that people usually wouldn't see. He took his picture, taking his diploma then walked off.

"THAT'S MY BABY!" Beth shouted holding up her poster with the picture of baby Jahseh. Jahseh smiling hearing his mom as he walk to his seat. She was feeling good that she was sitting here experiencing this moment. Just watching her son grab his diploma made her emotional.

"That was my baby." She said again, her eyes watering a little. She sat back down in her seat, wiping her tears.

The ceremony continued, more students being called and getting their diplomas. People received medals and much more from the school. Guest speakers spoke to the graduates and then it was finally time. One student walked back to the podium, a smile on his face as he stare at the two hundred something grads.

"As I stare at you all, I'm happy to see all of you sitting here today. I know this school year have been difficult for some, exhausting. You all stand here today on the precipice of future. You all began high school as children and now your leaving here as adults, ready to go into the real world. You don't have the power to inspire the entire world to strive for success, but you have the power to achieve it yourself. The future is in your hands-"

"Oh my gosh, hurry it up old man!" One student shouted cutting him off causing everyone to laugh.

"Yes, please! We don't have time for this!" Another shouted.

The student let out a small chuckle. "Yes, I'm sure all of you have a party to go to." He remarked, shaking his head.

"Hell yeah we do! Got us standing here while you talk!"

"Well, as a symbolic gesture of your completion of high school, you may now turn your tassels." He told them, everyone started clapping their hands. Principal Harry took to the podium next.

"Parents, guests and staff, it is my honor and privilege to present Westbrook High graduating class of 2019." He spoke, everyone clapping and cheering again. The grads tossing their caps in the air as Hey Look Ma, I Made It by Panic! At The Disco started playing for them.

He smile hugely looking up at the stands. His attention landed directly on them and he was able to see all of them smiling at him.

He could finally say;

"I made it." Jahseh muttered to himself.

Laughter filled the restaurant as everyone sat around the long table. They decided to go to a buffet after graduation and be able to meet everyone. Their kids were all friends, so the parents figured why not.

"I cannot, they were getting everyone name wrong up there. Even the simple and easy ones." Crystal said, shaking her head.

"Right, I'm over here thinking they should know these kids name by now. They been in your school for four years straight." Dexter aunt, Bella, added.

"Principal Harry is an ass-" Jahseh was cut off when his mom pop his hand.

"Boy..." she said in a warning tone.

"My fault, but he's a terrible person and I dislike him." He corrected himself, glancing at Blu.

"He does seem like the type of principal that just doesn't give a shit about the kids. Excuse my language pretty gal." Crystal apologized to Miracle who gave her a smile.

"He gave us hell through these four years." Dexter chimed in.

"Straight hell." Jahseh, Angel, Chris and Brittney all said together.

"Ah, lucky me, I only had him for a year." Blu bragged causing all of them to suck their teeth. She started chuckling, Jahseh pinching her thigh which made her stop.

"See you didn't even have to do all that." She said giving him a serious look.

"My fault." he apologized, leaning over and pecking her lips. He did it two more time causing her to smile.

"Y'all know we sitting here right?" Shane asked making all of them laugh.

"Oh, relax dad. They cute." Brittney told him, nudging his shoulder.

"Right, hating on young black love. You barely see this loving nowadays, so appreciate it." Crystal told him, Shane smack his lips.

Jahseh cleared his throat, "I just wanna say something." He said standing up in his seat. He look around the table, all eyes on him.

"Today was a very special day for all of us, but we couldn't have done it without you guys. Our parents breathing down our necks for us to be perfect in school really helped us. Get good grades and whether you enjoy school or not, your going to get that diploma out of us willingly or unwillingly." He said, their parents laughing and agreeing.

"Honesty, it was a lot of stress and procrastination throughout this whole year, but it was all worth it in the end. Your little babies are finally grown up and now we're gonna be in our own. So, let us be adults and handle ourselves. I think we all can agree that we can do this on our own."

He put his attention on his mom, "I got this...I promise." He told her, Beth nodded his head holding his hand.

"I know." she told him getting slightly emotional. Her son was all grown up. Blu nudged him causing him to look down at her. She tapped her watch and he nodded his head.

"Right, in the end, we all appreciate you guys for helping us through. But, enough of all the sentimental bull crap, this is where we say our goodbyes and move on with our lives." He finished and all of them got up causing their parents.

"Where y'all going?" Crystal asked looking at all of them.

"I know y'all not leaving." Bella said, also watching them. They all ignored their parents, grabbing their things. Jahseh leaned down kissing all over Miracle face while she giggled.

"Aht aht, where you going?" Beth asked him, Jahseh still ignoring her. He grabbed Blu hand and all of them headed out the buffet.

"Did they just-" Crystal paused, putting her attention on Shane.

"You barely see this loving nowadays, so appreciate it. Remember that?" Shane remarked, eating his food. Crystal roll her eyes getting out her seat along with Beth and Bella then headed out. Once they got outside, they seen all of them getting in their cars.

"You ready?" He asked her and she nodded her head.

"I'm ready." She answered and he smirk. He started up the car, Blu then rolled down her window and leaned out of it.

"IT'S TIME TO LET GO, WE'RE GOING GO BE FINE!" She shouted at her mom, Beth and Bella. Jahseh revved his engine before pulling off, the others following behind him. Blu got back in the car then leaned over, kissing Jahseh.

"We're all on our own."
