"So, how long do I have to wear this?" Jahseh questioned, looking down at his arm cast.
"Well, your arm was severely damaged, so it'll take some months for it to heal. But, if you take care of your cast then the healing process probably will be quick." The doctor told him and he nodded his head.
"I'll be back to give you your pain medicine. If you need me before then just let me know." He nodded his head again just as the door opened.
"JAHSEH!" Tootie shouted running in the room with Wesley and his aunt, Jayla, behind her. A smile grew on Jahseh face seeing his little sister. She climbed on the hospital bed then hugged him tightly.
"Hi Jahseh!" She exclaimed, Jahseh hugging her back as best as he could.
"Hi pumpkin." He kiss her cheek and she smile.
"Look what I got! It look like me!" She said showing him her black Barbie doll.
"I know and both of y'all are very pretty." He told her, kissing her cheek again. Jayla walked over to him and place a kiss on his forehead.
"Hi baby." She greeted him.
"Hey auntie."
"So, what did the doctor say?" Wesley asked sitting in the chair.
"It's bad like really bad and I'm going to have to wear this cast for a few months." Jahseh answered while Tootie traced her finger over his cast.
"Does it hurt bambam?" Tootie asked him.
"A little, but I'm okay." He answered.
"So, that means no more football?" Jayla asked and he nodded his head. "I'm sorry about that hon."
"It's fine though. I didn't expect it to end like this, but it's cool." He muttered, shrugging his shoulders. He just had to ignore his pain yesterday and still play.
"Did your dad come like he said he was?" Wesley asked, Jayla roll her eyes crossing her eyes. As sad as it was to say, Jayla disliked her brother and hated the way he treated his nephews and niece. The two siblings were always going at it with each other nonstop as kids. Now, that they were grown up, the hatred sparked up.
"He should be here regardless." She remarked, shaking her head.
"He came by to talk to the doctors then he said he would be back. That was almost two hours ago." He mumbled the last part to himself, but his aunt heard him.
"Excuse me, you said two hours?" She asked, raising her brow. "He haven't been here for two hours?" she repeated herself.
"Jayla..." Wesley warned, already knowing she was about to go off. He understood her anger towards his son, he just didn't want it to be around Miracle.
She scoffed, tossing her hands up. "I'm sorry, but you have got to be kidding me." She said, shaking her head.
"We all know how Apollo is towards them and that's-"

"And that's why I'm taking Miracle." She cut her dad off, Jahseh raising his brow at them.
"Your taking Miracle?" He asked, Jayla put her attention on her nephew. He stare at his aunt and grandfather, they could see the hurt in his eyes. To hear his sister was going to be taken from him was disappointing.
"Y'all really going to take my sister from me?" He asked, Jayla let out a small sigh.
"I need to Jahseh. Apollo doesn't care at all and I refuse for my niece to live in that household and Kelly-"
"But, she's my sister." He cut her off. He look down at Miracle seeing she was staring at him.
"I'm able to take care of my sister, I mean I know I can take care of my sister. I don't want y'all taking her from me." He told them, getting upset at the thought of not having his sister around.
"Jahseh, it's not your-"
"Lemme talk to him Jayla." Wesley told her getting up. She look at her dad then nodded her head.
"Come on Miracle." She walked over to the bed. Before she got up, Miracle hugged Jahseh again.
"I love you Jahseh." She told him and he smile, kissing her temple.
"I love you too." He told her. He watched her get off the bed with the help of their aunt. Jayla look at Jahseh feeling bad for saying something, but he was going to find out either way. She wanted the best for the both of them and since her brother wasn't going to take care of them, she was.
"It's for the best Jahseh." She told him, she grabbed Miracle hand and they walked out the room. Wesley walked over and took a seat on the edge of the bed, his hand resting on his cane.
"Are y'all serious about taking her?" Jahseh asked again, not wanting to believe the news.
Wesley sigh lowly, "Yes...and it's for the bestie your aunt said." He spoke before Jahseh could cut him off.
"But...that's not fair." He spoke. "That's not fair at all grandpa and you know that."
"It's not about being fair, it's about protecting my grandkids and that's what I'm doing. Sometimes in life you make choices for your family and we made a choice already to have Miracle live with your aunt."
"But, she lives with you grandpa, y'all live an hour away. Do you know how far that is from me? What if Miracle can't sleep at night and she wants to come in my room and lay with me? That can't happen if she's not here." He said, Wesley signing lowly again.
"Jahseh when your sister comes over, she tells him how she hates being home with your dad. Your father and Kelly are toxic people, you two live in a toxic household. Miracle is four years old, she shouldn't be able to tell me that she doesn't think her dad loves her. Certain people aren't meant to be parents and I'm sorry to say this, but your dad and mom weren't meant to be parents at all." Wesley told him. He didn't want to sound heartless, but that was the truth.

"I can take care of her." Jahseh spoke, he still didn't want to believe the news.
"I know you can, but your eighteen Jahseh. And even though legally your an adult, your still a child and I don't want you taking care of another child. Miracle is a handful, hands are full. You play football, your working, your in school, and your having a social life. I wouldn't want you to balance all that while also taking care of your sister. I know you can do it, but what type of grandparent would I be letting that happen."
"So, what's going to happen?" Jahseh asked. He had no choice, but to accept the fact that his sister was leaving. Even though, what his grandfather said was entirely true. His sister didn't need to be in a toxic household and neither should he, but he didn't know what to do.
"Well, your aunt and Miracle will be moving in with me this weekend. I'm not stopping you from seeing Miracle and you can come whenever you like, your always welcomed. Miracle will be put in a new school where she'll learn everything she needs to know. I'll get her a device and she'll be able to call you whenever your available." Wesley explained to him.
Jahseh nodded his head, "So, what about me?" He asked. He needed to get out his dad house badly.
"I noticed you and your dad been having issues lately and I don't want you to think I'm leaving you to just deal with him. I hope you know your old enough to move out, get a place of your own. I'm not forcing, but I'm suggesting you do that. Move into an apartment or something to get away from you dad. Of course, do it when you're ready, but if you need help, ask and I will help. It's that simple. Your a teenager trying to live his life by playing sports, socializing and working. I'm not having you take care of a child that's not yours. Do you understand?"
Jahseh sigh, nodding his head. "Yeah, I understand." He answered lowly.
"We didn't make this decision to hurt you or Miracle, but to help y'all. Your father hates the idea, but I really don't care. You and Miracle are my responsibility. Okay?"
"Yeah, I know."
"That's a terrible idea."
Jahseh toss his head back, sighing to himself. Blu shook her head not agreeing with him at all.
"Blu, I just feel as though that's what need to be done." He told her and she continued shaking her head.
"I'm not sure if you forgot, but your dad is toxic and a manipulator. If you try and have a conversation with him, all he's going to do is blame you for everything. Why put yourself through that?" She asked, tossing her hands up.
"I know, but all I want to do is talk to him. Get an understanding that's all." He told her, shrugging his shoulders. He had mentioned everything to her that his grandfather said and she was cool with that. The only thing she didn't like is him wanting to talk to his dad.
She knew how toxic his dad was and she hated his guts. She only tolerated him because of Jahseh. After hearing all the things he did to him, she couldn't stand Apollo. She knew that if Jahseh tried talking to his dad, he was going to be an asshole towards him. She just didn't like the idea at all.
"Yeah, but again your dad is an asshole. He's going to blame everything on you instead of admitting he's wrong. That's how toxic parents are, Jahseh." She told him.
"Blu, I don't expect you to understand, so your opinion is relevant and I'm sorry to say that. I know your trying to help and all that, but my dad have a lot of explaining to do and I need him to do that, whether you like it or not. Your family is all perfect and shit, so you wouldn't understand." He told her bluntly, shrugging his shoulders again. He didn't want to sound like an asshole, but he knew she wouldn't understand.
Blu roll her eyes, "I told you my family isn't perfect. I'm trying to help, but if you don't want it then so be it." She shrugged her shoulders.
The room fell silent between the two of them. Jahseh instantly feeling bad for how he talked to her.
"Well, I'm going home. I'll give you your space." She said getting off the bed. Before she could walk off, he leaned forward grabbing her arm.
"Don't leave." He told her and she roll her eyes. "I'm sorry Blu like seriously. I didn't mean to put it like that, it's just something I wanna do to get closure I guess."
Blu sigh, climbing back on the hospital bed. "Fine, and I'm sorry too. I just really dislike your dad and how he treats you. But, if you want to have a sit down then do that and I hope you get the closure you need."
"Are you being sarcastic?"
"Yes and no."
