Matteo's pov

I was busy working when i noticed something on the camara , tatiana talking to one of my men .

I went out to the hall.

"partire"

Translation : leave

I grabbed her by her arm and dragged her to my office.

"perché stavi parlando con le mie guardie?"

Translation : why were you talking to my gaurds .

"perché posso"

Translation : because i can

"si potrebbe ottenere quella bella testa spezzata"

Translation : you might get that pretty head snapped

She glared at me and i grabbed her by her neck .

"sei sul ghiaccio sottile ora andare"

Translation : You're on thin ice now go

I let go of her throat and she stormed off .

If you're wondering why i don't fire her ass already it's because i know she has dirt on me and i need to know what before i can fire her or kill her depends on my mood .

I went downstairs when i heard laughter from the kitchen , following the laughter i found ava and riley watching a show and drinking tea.

"What are you two watching?"

"Friends" riley said as ava let out another laugh .

"You know you don't have to watch it all time right?"

"We know but we don't care"

"You wanna watch it with us?"

"Nah i have a life"

She gaped and i chuckled.

"Might wanna close your mouth unless you want me to fill it"

Her mouth snapped shut and she put her hands over ava's ears .

"You just can't help yourself" she glared and i shurgged.

"Let's take this party to the movie room" i grabbed ava and put her on my shoulder.

"Papa!" Ava screamed laughing .

"You coming?"

"Nope i have to call my mom"

I sighed and bend down , lifted her up and put her on my shoulder.

"Matteo put me down" she yelled.

I ignored her pleas and went up to the movie room and placed them on the couch.

"Let's watch this show of yours"

"Don't you wanna wear something less bougie?"

"Bougie? Seriously?"

"Yeah don't you own normal clothes?"

"I do. no need to insult my wardrobe"

"It needs a few tweaks"

"You need a few tweaks"

"Childish" she rolled her eyes.

"I love you both but shh" ava glared .

Well damn i didn't know my daughter was this much invested in this show .

"Go change Mr Mikealson"

"Who the fuck is that?" I sighed.

"Do you live under a rock"

"Yeah that tends to happen when your in the mob"

"Well it's also a show about vampires, i can't really explain it"

"Now how does a show about vampires resemble me?"

"You're basically Elijah, he always wears suits"

"Well then i like him"

"Just go change"

He grumbled but went and changed .

"Riley can i have popcorn?"

"Sure" i got up and went and made her popcorn and handed it to her.

"Thank you" she smiled and kissed my cheek .

While we waited for matteo we pretty much almsot ate everything in this place .

"Im gonna look what's taking your dad so long"

Ava nodded . I got up and went to matteo's room and knocked .

"Matteo?"

I heard nothing and i opened the door and saw matteo standing over a dead body . I gasped and matteo looked at me , i quickly shut the door and ran back to the movie room.

What the hell was that? Jesus . I locked the door just incase matteo tries to come in and good thing i did cause he's banging on the door.

"Open the door riley!" He yelled.

Ava looked over at me and frowned.

"Why can't daddy get in?"

"He's sick"

She got up and went to open the door but i stopped her.

"Let's just go watch the movie"

"No i wanna go to daddy" she unlocked the door and i groaned .

Matteo gave me a fiery glare and picked up ava .

"Don't fucking do that again" he warned and i nodded.

I need to leave like yesterday already .

I quickly went to my room and called up jake to come and get me . I packed my clothes but stopped when i heard a knock on my door.

I didn't answer , i heard keys and my door opening . Matteo stepped in and stared at me.

"What are you doing?"

"Packing i should've left long time ago"

"You do know im in the mob dead bodies are a daily occurrence"

"I just didn't expect to see it in your fucking room"

"He broke in what should i have done tickled him?"

"No ofcourse not but seriously murder?"

"It get's the job done"

I laughed sarcastically.

"Jake was right" i zipped my suitcases and grabbed my phone.

"Who the fuck is jake?"

"Nobody"

I looked down at my phone and saw jake told me to wait for a couple of hours . Great

Matteo stalked over to me and grabbed me by the waist .

"You're not going anywhere you know too much"

"I won't rat you out i just wanna leave"

"No you're not gonna do that"

"Matteo let me leave"

He placed his hand on my neck and smirked.

"Why the fuck are you smirking you just killed someone"

"You talk too much"

I gaped and that's when he kissed me . The son of a bitch tricked me .

He travelled down to my neck and im certain he left hickeys. Im literally frozen in place .

"Matteo i don't wanna get hurt"

"I would never" he rumbled and started taking off my top and putting us on the bed.

"I don't wanna do this"

"You sure? You not stopping me"

"Matteo please"

He ignored me and continued to take off my clothes .

"Get off me!" I yelled and finally shoved him off me.

"Riley what the fuck?!"

"I don't wanna fuck you , you just killed someone for God's sake"

He pulled at his hair in frustration and got up .

"Look me in the eye and tell me you don't wanna be with me" he looked me in the eye.

"I don't wanna be with you"

He nodded and started pacing until he punched the wall .

I looked at the huge dent in the wall in shock .

I heard my phone and saw a text from jake saying he's waiting at the airport.

"I have to go" i put my clothes on and grabbed my bags .

"Don't leave riley"

"This whole mafia thing isn't for me i don't think i can or even want too get used to dead bodies being scattered around here"

"This was one time okay he broke in i was protecting you and ava"

I shook my head and walked out .
