As me and Dad walked out into the garden I knew if I did not get him out soon that he would've exploded my grandparents have always been pushy and arrogant especially my grandmother I've always hated but never had the guts to say otherwise but now I know they have no power over me I can speak freely.

"Are you ok" I asked in a gentle voice I couldn't imagine what those wretched people put in his head the lies they would have told their toxic that's what they are they apologize then stab you in the back the next day it's sad really but they're the ones that chose to be that way.

"I'm fine munchkin they just get me really angry they took everything from me the two people I love the most you and Vanessa" he said you could hear the anger in his voice.

Wait who is Vanessa?

"Dad whose Vanessa?" I asked in a quiet voice wanting to be cautious.

The look on his face looked like he had seen a ghost.

"i-i-i she was someone very special I'm sorry munchkin I want to tell you I don't want any secrets between us but it's just hard" I could see how hard it was for him to talk about what ever happened must have took its toll on him as much as I was curious I couldn't stand to see him in this much pain.

"It's ok dad you don't have to tell me take your time you can tell me another day because I would love to hear about her" I said while side hugging we were standing on the path that lead the way through the beautiful flowers of the grand garden.

It's truly is beautiful here I used to spend a lot of time here when I lived here.

"Thank you, munchkin, I guess I better go back in there before your grandmother cracks a bigger fit then she already has" he chuckled I knew it was forced though.

"Of course, I think I'm going to sit out here a little longer if that's ok" I said.

"Ok but make sure you come back in soon it looks like it's going to rain" he said in a caring tone he's always on to me about me being safe even if it's with the weather it makes me love him more as a father.

I nod along soon I watch him disappear into the distance I don't know how much time passed but I just sat on the cold stone bench watching as the weather changed as the wind picked up shivers started crawling all over my body the clouds were rolling believe it or not I love the rain I like sitting near my window with a book all rugged up just reading and listening to the pitter patter of the rain drops.

"You should head in its getting pretty bad out here" I knew that voice anywhere it's the voice that haunted my dreams for the past year one of reasons I left the one man I can't even look him in the eye because I'm terrified not of him but the emotions that come with knowing him hell even thinking of him is like a whirlwind of emotions.

"Well lucky I simply don't care for your opinion anymore" was my simple answer nothing more nothing less because I didn't have the energy to waste.

"I know and I deserve it" I was shocked to say the least normally he would say to drop the attitude.

"Yeah you do and so much more" I said in a cold hard tone.

"Bella please just listen" I cut him off.

"No Jaxon you listen I don't have the time anymore to play these childish games I have responsibility's now I have a life and people that depend on me and I gave you heaps of time to talk before left I gave you weeks months' years you think you can just come in here and everything's going to be fine well think again I want nothing to do with you" I said still not looking at him it felt good to get it all of my chest and out in the open I have a job to do and I can't afford distractions.

I finally look up at him I couldn't believe this was my Jaxon well not mine anymore hasn't been for a long time he has more tattoos more muscle and believe it or not more mature I guess taking on the leader of the Black Dragons made him change a lot.

I got up from the bench walking away from not looking back at him but as I got further away he said something that I could just hear "I'm sorry".

Two very powerful words but he broke me down bit by bit made my life a living hell and I could forgive him for quite easily.

But one thing I can't forgive him for as easily is leaving me when I needed him the most that hurt more than any phrase or bullet could ever.

-THE NEXT MORNING-

"Come on get up Bells" someone yelled right into my ear wait someone's in my house the house I live in alone wait a minute I know that voice anywhere Maya.

"Ahh" I screamed jumping up and grabbing her by her little arms and started tickling her she burst out giggling I've missed this but what I want to now is how she got up the hill to come to my house.

I stopped tickling her and once she settled down she was sitting beside me I turned and looked at the precious little girl by my side.

"Now how did you ever get here and tell me the truth" I looked at her while waiting for my answer.

"Well you see Char really wanted to go to the mall but mummy said that she had to look after me while the grown-ups had breakfast and well I didn't want to stay with grandma please don't tell on Char to mummy because then she will get in trouble and beside it was my idea to come stay with you" she rambled nervously in her cute little voice.

"Maya honey I promise I'm not going to get Char into trouble how about I will go get dressed and we will go for breakfast and get our nails done maybe even go to the playground and then I will go back and tell your parents I asked Char to drop you off so we could hang out how does that sound" I haven't spent hardly any time with her last night after the little incident with Jaxon I went back inside and spent time with uncle Jeremy, Jay, Char and Carol unfortunately Uncle Bill had to do damage control with my so called grandparents.

"Yes I'm so excited" lets go she yelled excited jumping up and down on the bed I chuckled at her antics.

After getting dressed we got into my car I strapped Maya into the backseat and started heading off to McDonalds Maya is chatting away in the back seat.

After about a ten-minute drive we pull up into a parking spot and once I get Maya out of the car and we go and order our food and go and sit at one of the booths Mayas telling me all about her school and her friends how they get to learn how to play soccer in sports and how she may be able to play on a team when trials come I really am proud of her she's so talented.

Our order number was called out and I went collected our food and gave Maya her Happy meal and me my nuggets she continued to tell me how she also got the highest score on her maths test.

Once were done eating we head back out to the car and drive to the nearest nail salon.

We walk in and got our nails done I got mine with acrylic nails but Maya just got hers painted she wanted lavender colour and I got mine turquoise with pretty diamonds spread out on the ring finger nail.

Once our nails are done I pay and put Maya back in the car I could tell he was getting tired so I decided to skip the park we can go another day anyway and just take her straight back to Aunty they should be done their important breakfast.

Soon we arrive at their huge mansion.
