《Him & I (Queen Shadow #1)》Chapter 14 (EDITED)

I groggily opened my eyes seeing a bright light shining above me. Where am I now, I thought to myself. Letting my eyes adjust to the bright light suddenly everything came clearer within a few minutes.
"Miss can you hear me, Miss" I saw a figure of what I am guessing is a woman by her extremely long hair and the tone of her voice.
"Doctor I think she is awake" the voice shouted again.
I tried to move but my whole body was still numb. I let out a little groan my throat was so dry I couldn't even talk.
"Get her some water quick" I heard a man's voice speak from further across the room. The woman's figure soon disappeared and replaced by another. I have to sit up I thought to myself.
"Here honey drink this" I heard the woman's voice again and a cup was held up to my lips. Taking slow sips of it till my throat felt a little better. I slowly sat up and looked at the man and woman. One was dressed in a white lab coat who I am guessing is the doctor and the woman was dressed in purple scrubs both wore stethoscopes around their necks. The lady gave me a warm smile and placed the sup on the side table.
My whole body felt like there was bricks pulling me down, I didn't know what to do? Or what was happening?
"How are you feeling?" she asked gently.
"I'm ok, sore but may I ask where I am?" I questioned them both.
"You're in the hospital it's a miracle your awake after flat lining" the nurse answered the doctor just stood there observing me and checking the machine beside me.
"Can you remember anything that happened?" the doctor finally spoke up. I tried to think really hard, but I could only remember bits and pieces, it was all a blur after a while of trying to put all the pieces together. My head started to thump I felt a hand come in contact with my shoulder, I snapped my head towards the hand to see the lovely nurse standing closer.

"It's alright honey take your time" she soothed me. Taking a few deep breaths, I closed my eyes and I remembered everything Lincoln being hurt, me being shot, the memories and most of all the man in the memories.
"I was shot" I said to them.
"That's correct thankfully for you Lincoln got you here just in time another five minutes and you would have lost to much blood, you slipped into a coma then flat lined we didn't think you were going to make it for a few seconds there" the doctor explained.
"Could I see my family please" I asked kindly. They nodded their heads and walked out of the room leaving me alone for a few minutes until uncle Bill came rushing in.
"Bella you're ok" he said to me I nodded my head in return giving him small smile.
"I'm ok is Lincoln and your other man ok?" I questioned him worried that they were hurt in some way.
"They are fine a few stiches and there good as new" he said to me. I let out a small sigh of relief.
"That's good, uncle when can I come home?" I asked not wanting to be in this hospital another minute than I have to be.
"They want to keep you in overnight to run some tests and make sure your one hundred percent ok, then you can come home but doctor McLeod will come once every week for a while just to make sure your healing properly" he explained to me I nodded my head.
"Well I am going to let you get some rest I will be right out that door if you need me" he reassured me walking out the door.
I carefully rolled on my side and shut my eyes.
I fell asleep with one thought on my mind I can't wait to get home.
Monday the day I get to finally go home I was only in there for one night, yet it felt like forever. To say I hate hospitals would eb an understatement, I never knew why I don't like them I guess it's just one of those things.

Jay had picked me up from the hospital alongside Uncle Bill it was really nice having people around you who care. When I got home Aunty Caroline had practically a whole feast prepared. If I needed anything she would be there, which felt weird I am so used to doing everything by myself.
Right now, I was laying in my bed watching tv, but my attention was not on the movie that was playing before me. Instead I was focused on the memories that had come back to me. That man seemed so familiar, yet I can't remember seeing him anywhere. Not in one picture or video it's like he does not exist and that makes me think he is just a figment of my imagination.
A knock had interrupted my daydreaming, I snapped my head in the direction of the closed door.
"Come in" I answered I saw Caroline pop her head around the corner and give me a wide smile which I returned with a small one.
"Hi darling sorry I just wanted to make sure everything was alright" she said to me standing with her hands clasped together.
"Actually, can I go for a walk for a bit get outside, it is getting a bit stuffy" I said telling the truth. I found out that I was out for two weeks, so I guess I just need to get up and about.
"Of course, did you want me to help you" she said. It was very caring of her to offer but I was nearly heeled already so there was no need for assistance.
"No, I am ok, thank you though" I smiled climbing out of bed. Caroline wrapped her arms around me and hugged me as tight as she could.
"Ok well let me know, ok" she said to me pulling away from the hug. I nodded my head and watch her walk out of the room.
I changed my clothes and exited my room making sure to shut the door behind me. It felt good to just be back on my feet and acting normal again. I walked all around the gardens and the halls. When I passed the offices, I decided to see what Uncle Bill or Jeremy was doing.
I knocked on the large wooden door that had all sort of engravings in it. I always wondered what they meant but never asked. They were all different shapes and patterns I always thought maybe there just for decoration.
No one answered so I tried again and waited for a few seconds. I pushed the door slightly open and creeped in. I never took a good look around the room I noticed there was photos on the bookshelf. Each one had its own place and frame. I saw pictures of Jay, Maya, Char, Jeremy and Caroline each family member had a photo displayed on the shelves as I got closer, I saw two photo frames that had been knocked over on the elegant bookcase. I picked up the first one dusting it off, it looked like a picture of three guys one I could identify as Jeremy he was the youngest one standing to the left of the group. Then in the middle stood a young Bill and the man to the right looked familiar. Dark brownish black hair, the eyes, I stood frozen with the frame in my hand those eyes the man from my memories this is him. I knew it, he isn't just my imagination.
If Bill and Jeremy are in this photo, they must know who he is then. Picking up the second frame and observing it confirmed all my theories. There I was with the man by the lake sporting a huge smile and an ice cream in my hand, the man was standing beside me with a small smile on his face on like the other photo where his face was completely blank.
"Bella, what are you doing in here" I heard my Uncles voice from behind me.
I slowly turned around holding both photos in my hands and looked at Jeremy and Bill in the eyes.
"You both have a lot of explaining to do"
