After we get away from the city, I drop Alistar from my shoulders. Aleem works his shoulder as I deck him in the chin. He falls to the ground. “How could you let her do that?!” He looks up at me with disgust on his face.
“This was the only way to save the world Zona. I did what I had too.” I turn away from him angier overflowing from me.
“We saved the world. Now what Aleem? Tell me what happens now.” He doesn’t answer as I turn to face him. “TELL ME!” Some flames form next to me as I feel someone grab me and hug me super tight.
“You’re alive!” Lupa picks me and spins me around a few times as I try to calm down.
“Yea.. Thanks to you..” She pauses and looks around confused.
“Where’s Anna?” I pause having my emotions out of control. A few tears form in my eyes as Lupa still looks clueless. Aleem gets up dusting himself off.
“She’s gone Lupa. We saved the world.” Lupa still looks confused.
“Gone?” I frown as Aleem looks at her. I glare at him letting out my emotions.
“Yes. Gone. Deceased. Dead. She’s dead Lupa.” Lupa pauses and looks terrified.
“What do you..” Aleem cuts her off.
“Yes. Only one more thing to do.” I pause angry.
“What do you mean one last thing? We did everything you said we had too.” I march to him. I pause as I feel Lupa stop me.
“You are right Aleem. Zona Everlast. Thank you for saving this world. The only thing left to do is finish off any Forgotten Ones.” I pause confused looking at Lupa. The Sister has taken over her body.

“What do you mean finish o-” I look back to Aleem seeing him collapse. “No. No. NO. NO!” I scream going to Aleem. I hold his upper body as his body slowly start to age. He grows older and order as the magic leaves his body. I look over to the Sister. “Save him please! I saved the world! I did everything you wanted. Just..” Tears start to fall my face. “Save him.” I feel Aleem’s hand touch my face as I look back to him.
“You gave me a reason to care again Zona.. Take this world and make it better for everyone.” A brief smile fills his face as he goes limp turning into dust. I look in horror as I stare at the dust in my lap.
"Zona Everlast. Thank you for saving the world.” I look up at her sadness turning into rage.
“Bring him back.” The Sister shakes her head no turning away from me.
“The world is saved. Thanks to you.” I get up flames pouring from me. I force her to look at me.
“The world is shit! Monsters are killing people! Everything is destroyed! We caused the world to end! I am not a savior! I am a monster!” My words sound foreign to me. The Sister glares at me instilling some fear with her next words.
“You aren’t far away from becoming the thing Jake was. Keep that anger in check before it actually destroys everyone you care about. I will talk to you later after I’ve dealt with a few things. ” I frown and Lupa comes back to us. She frowns looking confused.
“.. Where is everyone?”
A few months pass and the world slowly goes back to normal. Reports of monster attacks all stop. Apparently people have seen them moving back north. The entire military was ensambles for the first couple weeks after Jake wiped out a majority of them. I am told one of the Lords survived and has taken control over the remaining forces. So far, they have lead it in the right direction. Peace eventually found its way back to the Green Belt. Alistar sticks to his word and goes to start a school for mages. The Church of the Brothers doesn’t seem to care yet, but they are always ready for a fight.

After losing both Anna and Aleem in a short amount of time, I grew cold to the world. Lupa and I traveled back to the North. We eventually found an abandoned farm that wasn’t destroyed by the wave of monsters. It took time to feel like my old self. Lupa never left my side and got me through a couple of tough times. She did eventually regrow her hand. After she started to learn how to use her hand again, we slowly started to rebuild the farm. By the end of the fourth month, it almost looked like home.
“Zooooonnnaaaa!” I wake up from my slumber as Lupa jumps on me. I smile happy looking at her.
“Good morning Lupa.” She smiles happy at me as we get out of bed. “What’s the plan for today?” Lupa thinks for a moment.
“Hmm… How about we go down to the lake?” I quickly change into something better for the weather.
“Sure.. That sounds fun.” She smiles and goes to open the bedroom door. I see her struggle for a second trying to grip the door. Some days, I know she still struggles with having full control of her hand. I come over and open the door for her. She smiles at me.
“Thanks.” We both head outside and the morning fog is just now starting to clean out. We head down to the lake and I take in the glorious sight below me. The lake is crystal blue as a row of trees surround the outside of the lake. As we approach the lake, I feel Lupa grab my hand. She tugs me toward a edge of the lake. I pause and look over to see two tombstones. She looks at me a little sad. “It’s time to say goodbye..” I slowly nod and follow her over to them.
We get to the tombstones and I see written in them Aleem and Anna. I put my hand on Aleem’s tombstone and say a prayer for him in my head. I notice Lupa do the same thing for Anna. I look up to Lupa. “Lupa… Thank you for being here for me..” She looks at me and smiles as she wipes her tears away.
“Of course. You are the most important thing in the world Zona.” I smile happy and hug her.
“I.. love you Lupa.” Lupa pauses and doesn’t say or do anything for a second. She hugs me back tight and starts to cry slightly.
“I love you too Zona..”
