My purple dress hung neatly in its place. I took it out and wore it to the store today, but it got dirty. I don’t even know how it happened.
I called him to see how he was. His voice beamed from the phone as I sat on the floor of my room. It was good to hear him. Hear from him. He still cares.
A single drop of water hit the floor as I fell asleep that night.
