《Comfort Creatures: The Case of the Rogue Creature!》Four

"Do you understand your mission, Special Agent Spittoon?"
Gary Weinerspiegel stood before the monitor, glaring at the stupid expression on Agent Spittoon's rugged face. That slack jaw, eyes darting left and right, Gary observed. Is he any more intelligent than the Creatures he hunts?
"I repeat, Agent Spittoon: The Creature has gone rogue. We don't have a total body count yet, but it looks bad. Creature Dynamics has released classified tracking intel on Jelli Blount's Creature. But we're keeping this one off the books, Agent. Bring it in alive. No witnesses, in and out, nice and quiet. Is that understood?"
"Yes!" Agent Spittoon finally said. "Yes, sir!"
Gary Weinerspiegel turned off the video monitor and turned to face Agent "Buddy" Bishop. The rookie's "aw shucks" demeanor had been replaced by an expressionless mask of cool indifference.
"Good old Buddy," said Gary.
"Mm," said Agent Buddy.
"The old ace up the sleeve."
"Mm hm."
"Buddy, I need this operation to turn lethal. Understand? We start out non-lethal, keep things off the record - then an accident happens. One dead Creature, one problem solved."
Buddy raised an eyebrow. "You used your admin access to initiate the tracking sequence on Jelli's Creature's beacon. That'll raise flags. Your name will be all over this."
"I know. But if you can, make it look like Spittoon screwed up. Convince him the Creature's blood is on his hands, so he'll keep the whole thing under wraps, at least on his end. Think your acting skills can handle that?"
"Mmmm hm."
Without another word, Buddy rose and made his way out of the office. Gary Weinerspiegel sat back. Though he felt no fear, no excitement, nor anything at all, he noticed that his heart rate was elevated. It was a very strange sensation.

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise). If you are a first-time reader, feel free to start from the other Volume.
