《The Blood Demon's Kindness》Prologue

An old woman sat in a rocking chair, gently swaying the bundle in her arms.
"What's that, you want to hear about the Blood Demon again? Good heavens, children these days sure are brave. When I was your age all I was focused on was my mother's teat!" The woman boisterously laughed and repeated kissed the bundle in her arms. "But if you insist I will tell you about the legendary Cult that reached the pinnacle of Murim."
"Just a thousand years ago, the Murim world was in chaos. The Just faction and the Unorthodox faction were at war. Cults, Sects, and even mercenaries and foreigners came to join in throwing the Eastern Lands in ruin. The war was constantly at a gridlock, and using protection as an excuse, the faction leaders were the ones to profit by demanding enormous taxes. But the protection was just a lie - non-practioners were left to fend for themselves and millions starved. At the darkest hour a man bathed in red qi emerged and with sheer force took control of both factions. That man was the first ancestor of the Blood Demon Cult and for the first time ever, the Murim World was united."
The woman sighed. "This peace would last a thousand years, as no-one could challenge the might of the Blood Demon. Respected by practioners for their power, and respected by non-practioners for their just way of governing, the Blood Demon Cult was truly unmatched. But yesterday, everything changed. The current Blood Demon, perhaps even more powerful than the First Ancestor, betrayed the Cult. The world will surely be brought to a new age of darkness and chaos will jubilantly emerge from their slumber. He will be known as the ultimate villain of history." Her voice trembled as she slowly paced around the room. Loud banging noises were heard outside, but she ignored them.

"That man is your father, your mother has died in excruciating pain due to his incompetence, just like most of his family already has." The woman cheekily grinned at the bundle. "Don't fear my precious granddaughter, I will soon join you." She took out a long dagger and plunged it in her chest. She fell to the ground and dropped the bundle. Bones fell out of the blanket. "The Underworld will take me and I will gladly accept my punishment as well." She slowly crawled over to the small bones on the floor, picked them up, and caressed them with a wide smile plastered on her face. "The Ryo Clan has finally achieved their revenge."

Apex Legend in Another World [Litrpg/Dungeons]
Pretty much your typical cliche 'Another World' type novel but with Apex Legend. A gamer named Sammy Rwen accidentally blew herself up and reincarnated into another world with a System. This is a world of Adventuring and Dungeons. I don’t own anything related to Apex Legend, this is a fanfiction created by me. I also don't own anything I reference in the story.

Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
