Volume 1 Chapter 4 The Lynch Family
In the spring of 187, the boy named Jack Lynch was born and in this same year the little coastal town of Pavv had welcomed the young successful merchant Mars Augustus.
Pavv was not a big place, everybody knew each other, so when a young man came out of nowhere saying how he wanted a quiet place for retirement, the people were intrigued.
But let’s go back to the Lynch family, after all why would anyone give their attention to merchant in retirement.
It was a Sunday, a very calm day of the week in the life of Pavv town. But not today, the Lynch family had just expanded. The mother was holding her baby; happy and angry at the same time, the aid around her were wrapping up their equipment.
The young priest came at midday; he wore a white robe with golden lines traversing it, at the bottom of the silk was a fire-like pattern. A mask was covering his face; it had small holes to let air in and out as well as to see.
He congratulated the young mother, took off his mask and started the baptism ceremony. He recited a text he knew by heart, the text was praising Eryn:
“O bringer of light, O bringer of fire and intelligence”
“You mighty, your greatness”
“...”
“I, your humble servant, supplicate to protect this tot from threats and illness for as long as he is pious.”
After finishing his dictum, he put his mask back on and said his goodbye and left with the grace expected from a member of the church.
Mars was lurking around the village and then; he sensed it, the Protagonist halo. He was surprised by it; he thought the Saint Child hadn’t been born yet.

Stellar, coming out of thin air, started to muster his Chus, sending his spell before the Halo signal could reach the outskirts of the town.

However there was someone in the village who also sensed it; Alger Amorth, his link with the goddess allowed him to discern the anomaly, but he couldn’t grasp the greatness of it.
Mars went back to his house satisfied with his day. He started to converse with Stellar. They had a good synergy together.
Mars said: “How is the life in Euthanasia?”
Stellar replied: “Oh, you don’t want to live there, it’s like a prison.”
Mars said with a grin: “Man, I thought that living on a flying island would be pretty refreshing.”
Stellar still amused: “Well no, you’re bound by chains all day long and...”
Before Stellar could continue, the shadow manifested itself in front of him, it was brief and direct. Stellar nodded, excused himself to Mars and ripped space in front of him, leaving as swiftly as he arrived.
Mars got up and made himself some tea.
Summer of 195
Jack was running in the fields with his friends Christopher and Heather, they were happy; life was simple, free of worries.
Jack saw a bunny; it was his favourite animal, he started to run after it, his friends hadn’t had the time to see him leave and he had already vanished.
Jack was strong, he had to be, his mother was still crying when she thought he was sleeping. He needed to be strong for his mother.
However he was alone in the woods. The eight years old was frightened, but when he wanted to go back he could not find his way; he was lost in the woods alone.
The boy saw a dead tree trunk, he dodged it by walking around, and a carcass ahead of him had a foul odor that was penetrating his sense of smell.

When he saw it, it was a shock, that thing wasn’t an animal, it was too big, it looked like... Jack didn’t know how to describe it with the vocabulary he had, it had horns, long teeth and it vaguely looked like the drawing of the moose he saw at the Church’s school.
He was nervous, aghast but he couldn’t leave, it was too interesting. He hurriedly looked around the dead beast and plucked out a tooth, he took the one who looked the most piercing.
He proceeded to look around one last time and fled the scene. But from the shadows, Mars had watched him do it.
Mars thought out loud: “How lucky, our little protagonist was able to find a relatively good weapon so early in his life.”
With that done, Mars burned the corpse, as it was worthless to him.
Mars continued his hunt, killing the monster that could threaten his protégé, killing beasts one after the other. The population of monster-like animals fell as the days passed.
But after coming back home, Mars could see someone had broken into his home. He was being investigated, most likely by someone from Pavv.
But it is better to be careful than not at all. In the coming days he would stay low.
Changing of outfit, the warlord wore his favourite suit and walked out of his house. He went to the Church’s orphanage.
He was patron, as he had the money to spend; it was the perfect cover up, even if he was being investigated it should only be some curious citizens suspicious of his past.
He saluted Father Alger, looked at the children’s progress on their tree house, talked with a young girl who wanted to be a fisher, a boy who wanted to be a soldier, another girl who wanted to be a better soldier than the previous kid and another boy who wanted to laze around all his life.
It was an easy life.
Jack entered his family’s house; he sneaked in his own room and hid the beast tooth under his bed. The boy got out by the window and re-entered the house, loudly this time.
His mother Vanessa Lynch woke up from her nap and asked him with a loving gaze, if he wanted to eat anything.
He answered no and went to his room. Vanessa loved her son but hated his father more than anything. Fortunately for her, her son looked more like a male version of her younger self, not having to think about her once husband.

With it, reality literally bends to accommodate his pace on the journey to become the Hero of Fate. "So you're saying that until I cross certain points or 'flags' calamity won't strike?" "In other words, unless I make my 'predestined' move, the world will be safe, right? I could just train away for years peacefully until I'm more than strong enough for anything and wreck shit when I damn please?" "Heh, yeah. I 'totally' won't abuse this~" [Author here, Just a forewarning that I'm writing this synopsis and the story without a solid outline/plot/whatever-you-want-to-call-it. The dialogue, here in the synopsis, probably won't ever be directly spoken in the story; though, it might. I only just finished writing the first chapter, so, we'll see.]

8 100A War Beyond Kings
Author: I made som mistakes early in the story that I will have to correct, but it will take some time. I have not abandoned this story, but I will be working on my computer and will not be active on royal road. "The elves start to leave their secure forest of Silvanwood for the first time in over two thousand years. Wizards are murdered in their own homes one by one to the dismay of the Jeidan Order of mages. The ancient ruins in Agnellia seem to have awoken after thousands of years of abandon. The flames of war are brewing, and the continent of Maëgor is about to witness a war like never seen before." Author’s note: This is a serious story, loosely inspired from many great works, which you will maybe be able to identify on your own. It is entirely original though. I’ll be working on this for hours every day, but that doesn’t necessarily means that there’ll be daily chapters. I don't own the rights to the cover image, and will immediatly take it down if the author requires so. Every chapter will be at least 2000 words. And congratulations to anyone who guesses on which language the chapter titles are written in.
