Dominic woke up cold and uncomfortable. God, how he needed a new mattress if he woke up feeling as if he’d slept on a rock. He reached his arm for his phone to check the time when he missed the nightstand. He reached again, but his hand only met air. After feeling around for a few seconds, he reluctantly opened his eyes and through blurry vision saw that his nightstand was missing. As were his phone, his glasses, the lamp, and the wall!

“The fuck is this nonsense?” he thought to himself as his brain started to wake up. He looked down as it registered that his hand was touching something cold, and realized that he was not laying in his bed.

“WHAT THE FUCK!?” he yelled as he sat up with a start, almost falling off the… plinth… dais… whatever the fuck he was laying on

“Where the FUCK am I? What the hell is going on?!?!!” He yelled in quick succession as he slowly got off the… rock bed? and tried to blurrily make his way around the dimly lit gray room. Oh, how he missed his contacts at a time like this.

He made contact with a wall, feeling the rock beneath the fingertips of his left hand, and he started to walk around, looking for an opening.

“What the FUCK? What the literal FUCK?!” He whispered to himself, as he felt a sense of self-preservation kicking in. He was going to have a MASSIVE anxiety/panic attack later, but for now, figure out where the fuck he was and then get out. Did he get kidnapped? If he did, why? How? He was a deep sleeper, but not THAT deep. Had he been drugged?

“Ugh… the fuck? I’m cold, blind, and def. not wearing enough clothes for this!” He thought to himself, pulling his tank top a little lower. He began to walk towards a light when he noticed that it was getting brighter and closer to him.

“Shit!” he thought as he tried to back pedal without losing the wall. He did NOT want to meet whoever that was, considering how he’d woken up in a random, dimly lit room.

He turned around, and realized that there was a light coming from behind him as well. And as he looked around, he noticed lights coming from two more openings as well. The increase in light allowed him to dimly see that there were four openings in the circular room, with the rock bed/dais thingy in the middle of the room.

“Now is NOT the time to be a pedant dude, get a move on!” He thought to himself as he backed towards the dais. He started to feel a rise in panic, when he heard a bizarre voice to his left.

“Master, the human is awake and moving around.” A high, gruff voice said.

A soft, melodious voice floated from above. “I can see that Bothe. Secure him to that table as we finish final preparations for the rite.”

Sam looked up and saw a… human sized shape sitting on a throne in a cutout of the wall, watching him. “Well shit, that’s not good!” he thought to himself as a mix of shapes lunged at him, grabbing him by the arms and forcing him back onto the dais.

“Let me go, you bastards! I didn’t do anything to you! You’ve got the wrong guy!” He yelled, when one face came into clear view.

“Shut up you stinking human!” Said the horrible looking face before him… a face with yellow eyes, green/grey skin, and sharp tusks sticking up from his lower jaw. “Or I’ll bite your face off!”

Sam shut up, and started taking panic-y breathes as the… Goblins? Orcs? Whatever the fuck they were started tying him to the dais. Not only was he not home, he DEFINITELY was not even on Earth anymore. “You’re being held captive by mythical creatures… what the ever living fuck?”

He looked around, squinting to try and see what was in the room, and realized that the shape on the throne could be seen directly from where he was tied down. It looked like this room was constructed so the sick bastard could watch the action without getting his hands dirty. Dominic saw more shapes entering the room, bringing more and more light into the room as they came. He could see they were wearing black robes, with red trimming.

“Sir, the human is restrained. Are you ready for the Shaman’s to begin?” one blob said to the shape above him.

“Send them in and have them begin the first part of the rite. I will return in three days time for the last portion.” The melodious voice said. “Do not disappoint me Bothe. Your life depends on it.” With this, the blob stood up, and stepped off the edge of the balcony and floated down to the floor, walking out one of the hallways to Sam’s left.

The remaining blobs motioned to new, smaller blobs that came in and began drawing on the floor. Dominic began to struggle against the ropes holding him down, and tried to move his hands so he could gnaw on one of them.

SMACK

Dominic’s head reeled with the impact as one of the blobs smacked him across the face. “Cut it out human! Just sit there and this will be as painless as possible”

“What is going on? Why are you doing this?” He said in an increasingly panicked voice. “I haven’t done anything wrong”

“Ssssshhhut the human up, Bothe. We mussssssst focussss on thisssss part of the rite or we may make missssstakesssss. And the Masssster would be mossssst dissssspleasssssed.” a sibilant voice said from behind Dominic’s head. Shit! There were more of them!

Dominic felt a scaly hand grab his face, and jerked it backwards so he was staring upside down at a giant Lizard!

“Greetingssss human! It issss a mossst glorioussss day for you! You have been summoned here to pleasssse our mossst high Lord, DuPeagre! He will be mosssst pleasssed with ussss when you are given to him! An unAnointed, and an older one at that!” The Lizard at his face raised a hand holding a chalice.

“Now! Drink thisss human, or terrible thingsss will happen!”

“No! I won’t!” Dominic cried as he began to struggle. Whatever this liquid was, he guaranteed that nothing good would come of it as well. He jerked his head away from the giant Lizard, and then felt a stabbing pain in his left shoulder.

“I told you to drink human! Thissss issss not a requessst.” The Lizard said, pulling bloody claws out of his shoulder.

Dominic could only stare in shock as his blood began to flow down onto the rock below him. He began to feel woozy, and felt the Lizard grab him by the chin again, holding his head back. The chalice was held over him, and the liquid fell as the Lizard forced his mouth open, and he began to drink.

The taste that hit his throat was vile and cloying, like curdled milk with swamp water, but he began to swallow as another Lizard held his nose, forcing the liquid down.

Dominic began to cough once the chalice was empty, and the Lizards removed their hands to step backwards.

“The Human is prepared Bothe. We have done our part, now is the time to begin the rite!”

Dominic felt his mind begin to float away from his body, not caring what the green skins and lizards were doing around him as a sharp, acidic smell entered his nose. He heard chanting, and his vision sharpened as he floated high. He saw movement from the creatures as they sank to the floor to bow down. The chanting had begun to rise and get louder as he felt a presence, a dark, tantalizing and horrible presence descending from the ceiling.

“Oh Great Lord, DuPeagre! Please take this sacrifice to show our devotion to you! We have –urk—“

And with a wet splat, the voice went silent. Dominic looked and saw the speaker with an arrow impaling him through the throat. Everyone in the room was completely silent before all hell broke loose as a number of people entered the room.
