Chapter 26
The Battle of Serfera
“I have been waiting for you.”
“No Lady, we were already ready to combat you.” said Leofin.
“Really, the new warren Warrymn, you were powerful with just all of the energy condensed in you for years burst but in my realm you are weak.”
“We are in the same realm Serfera.” said the King.
“Severus, you are right but this territory is mine alone. I am the forger of this area.”
They were inside a hall, full of portraits and vessels. The walls shone like the sun and there was brightness everywhere and jewels enchanting it.
“I thought you like darkness.” said Leofin.
“I love both light and darkness. Anyway Leofin, hand over the word.”
“I did a mistake once Serfera of chaining you instead of killing you. I won’t repeat it.” said the King.
“Do you think that was a favor you brat, locked away alone in a castle where we cannot even go out, always the same food, same colour, my powers weakened and one to love, to talk, no family, no change, just a monotonous life.”
“What did you expect aster all you have done.” shouted Colson.
“What did I do, I just wanted to stop the clashes of the realm.”
The King said with controlled anger, “You wanted to stop the clashes! Is that why you killed my father, sister.”
“Oh brother. What do you mean a real Kingdom is, it is made by murders and betrayals.”
“Really, is that what you think, did you even think once that that man you were about to kill was our father. Did you even know that you were about to tear down the whole human territory to pieces.”
“Ad what is the outcome can’t you see, it is only because of the external realms summoning done by me you all are together. Otherwise it would have been individual territories.”

“And did you mean to kill all the subjects. Anyway, we had already formed an alliance by then and all the wars had been brought to an end.”
“Why is it that you were about to be crowned?”
“We had equal chances Serfera, it was a championship and I won it.”
“Oh, of course you won it. This realm is not mine because I just lost a championship! Brother, you misunderstood, the real rulers do not go by the rules, they make the rules.”
Serfera moved her hands upside and many beings began to rise from the floor.
“How wonderful, I am going to kill you in the same castle you locked me down.”
The King moved his hands and all the beings sank back to the ground. The King did not have enough power to control and check all the entering and leaving of the complete realm together, but he could do it for a particular area.
“You were not killed for treason but were locked down only because you were my sister. No, I won’t do that mistake again.”
The room started growing its own arms and started extending towards the party of three.
Colson took a gem out of nowhere and said, “I seal down all the growth of this castle.”
The castle hall returned to being normal. Leofin took his sword and the King said, “Leofin, I being the King of the realm say, hill that treacherous traitor lest her filth pollute this realm.”
“It is a real shame that it would take the three of you to stand up to me.”
“Serfera, you had a chance sister. Do you know what is your mistake, you are alone.”
Leofin ran with his sword because the distance was long. Serfera took a small knife and blocked the hit aimed at her head and Leofin backed away a little. Leofin hit Serfera again and it was blocked by Serfera by her bare hands.

Serfera moved her hands and wind started blowing towards Leofin. Leofin raised his sword and the wind was harnessed. He turned his sword and darkness rose from it and hit Serfera and she was thrown aback. Serfera weaved her hands in a pattern and light flooded everywhere eradicating the darkness.
Serfera rose from the ground and was hung in midair, her robes started bursting energy towards Leofin and it was of purple shade. It started hitting Leofin and Leofin blocked it with his sword. Leofin gave a slash in the air and energy burst from the tip of his sword and it made Serfera fall down to the floor.
Leofin tried to talk to the sword through his mind, “Sword, do you here me?”
“Yes. What is it that you want?”
“Help me.”
The sword took over Leofin. His eyes turned completely black and in front of him was the real picture of what Serfera had been, how she had brought the spectral beings, how she killed her father, how she brought peril down the realm which destroyed the balance of the realm.
Serfera rose and in front of Leofin was a target, a clear flick of a point which causes others to die. He now knew where he had to hit, to cause the death.
Leofin leaped from his position and he was on Serfera’s head, her hand turned into a snake and was about to hit Leofin’s leg when he cut it out. She shrieked in pain just for a second. A new hand started bursting out but Colson touched her gem and it retreated.
Leofin knocked the lady down, he pointed the tip of his sword at the chest of Serfera and she shrieked in pain. Energy flew from the tip of the sword into Serfera and it was not a good aspect for her body.
Then Leofin stepped away and started going back to the King. Suddenly a sword flew past Leofin. He turned and saw the sword of the King at the chest of Serfera.
Serfera dropped down, the King went to her, took his sword and said, “It is right sister, you are killed by the way you killed, by your own family.”

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
