《GODFALL》20 Bastion

I step forward, "Thadius-" I shout, "Leave no-" Ursa's face scrunches up, "I need that sword. Hand it over." Slim reaches into his coat slow, "You can't have it, Ursa! Tams-" His face turns calm, "Tams tricked you as she did me." Slim shakes his head, "No, you'll kill all angels, then conquer hell. Enough lies!" He waves and a black blade forms in his hand, "I offered you mercy!" The blade slams against the ground hard.
I clench my fists, Someone has to stand up for us. I march forward, Slim shouts and grabs my shoulder, “Thadius, don’t!” I throw his arm off as Ursa stares me down with a wild expression, “Rhoxeus was our protector!” He laughs, “We ran while my brother protected humans!” “And look what happened! Your sad adopted family is being killed, one by one by my blade.” I snarl, “No more!” His smile fades as he tilts his head, “I am no longer an angel, I’ll be what our brother wanted to be."
His teeth clench, “A peacekeeper-No-“ His muscles enlarge, “A god!” He zooms towards me with bright red eyes. I punch ahead, but my arm extends out as a metal pillar into his stomach, he goes flying. “Markus!” Ursa flies at me with a sword, I block and he almost cuts through. “Touch that sword, I’ll rip out your stomach and shove it down your esophagus!” Slim throws a dart into Ursa's arm- He zooms away, I swipe at him, but he gets out of range. His arms deflate in the distance.
I bolt to Markus while the others drift to him. Ursa pulls out the dart and tosses it aside. He hunches over, "Damn it!" The metal repairs itself slower than before, “I can’t keep this up for much longer.” Slim blows air out his nose as I block Ursa’s cuts and slices as he zooms past us in short bursts. "If that drug wears off, Markus!" Tesyn gasps from the pain of Ursa’s fast fly-by cut. Ursa breathes heavily and shakes his head in the distance. I hand a makeshift shield to Tesyn and she blocks his attacks. Ursa cuts into me once more and flies away. He’s gonna pick at us until- Slim shouts, “Why you running? You drugged or something!?" Ursa zooms in and I punch forward, the metal extends slower than before, he just dodges and swings wildly at me. He cuts through the pillar, I gasp as the other stops his blade, "Fuck you Slim!" Another dart flies his way and he tumbles across Tesyn’s new shield just to dodge it. He then zooms away once more.

Ursa's muscles bulge once again as Slim shouts, "He's gonna kill us! Of all times you are incompetent!” Markus shouts, “I’m trying! It comes in waves! You better be right or we're dead!” Ursa zooms in like he first did, he cleaves down and Tesyn jumps out in front of us.
My eyes widen as wind and blood slap against my face, the metal shield's in half, in slow motion, Ursa rushes in between Tesyn's split body. He cut through her like butter. Without hesitation, I yank the sword away from Markus and stab it into him. Ursa reels back from the pain, Slim throws several darts into him- "I'm out!" Markus smacks a mechanism on the sword. My voice booms as I walk him with the blade still in, spit spews from my scream, “You killed my sister!” Ursa desperately crawls off the blade. “You're no god! You can’t save anyone! Not even your own sister!”
I scream and push him deeper onto the blade. He grabs at the blade as metal slowly melts onto the sword. Slim tries to stab him, but Ursa kicks him away and tears himself off the blade with a roar. He stomps down and swings his blade, we clash. "I've killed the heavens! Self proclaimed gods!" He zooms to my side and rips a chunk out of me with his bare hands. I scream and grab at my wound, he backs up, hunches over and grabs what's left of his belly, "You're still a scared little boy!" He crushes the chunk in his hand like it's nothing.
He swings again towards my neck, then he disappears. The blade emits a dark energy as Ursa's screams muffle through to us. Ruthless banging, Explosive power just beyond- Whatever I'm looking at.

I fall to my knees and scream in tears. Markus pukes as Slim pats my back and tiny prick hits my back. “It worked.” My body's pain fades slowly as Markus gags, "Why Tesyn!?” I whine, "How long do we have?" I take a breath as Slim stretches like nothing happened, “Rumor has it, the field will hold as long as humans die. I really don't know. It's all rumors.” My voice trembles, “You killed our sister on a gamble!?” I shout, “How many more innocent souls must die for you!?” I grab my heart tight, My brother, now Tesyn, my family's dying. Slim sits down, “I know, it’s bad. Not I, but WE must make these souls- Rhoxeus, Gladius, Tesyn, they gotta be worth it. Protect the humans, make their short-lived lives special.” I bang on the ground, “Damn it!” I slowly get to my feet and sigh at the planets ahead of us. Slim nudges my shoulder as he falls into the nearest planet’s orbit, “I hate that I'm right.” He points as we descend down to Kinelt, “Our work isn’t done, Ironclad, pose as a soldier on Kinelt- Markus, pose as someone in leadership.”
I clench my teeth as Slim shouts at Markus, "Where you going?!" "I just had a vision- Go with Thadius!" I shake my head, "No. You killed our sister after walking back into our lives!" He frowns, "She was my sister too." "You aren't even phased by her." I point to her and shout, "Look at her!" He turns and his face doesn't even move a muscle. "She made a stupid move." "What!?" He turns to me, "She made a stupid move! And now she's dead. At least her suffering is over." I growl, "You don't even care. Not even an inkling of remorse." He scoffs and speeds towards the planet. I speed towards the planet in tears.
