《Sekai》Chapter 8: Setting the stage

Hartea: . . .Are you serious right now?
Hartea crossed his arms, looking at the home he was assigned to go to as it turns out -- nobody seems to be home or answering him. Maybe it was something that happened in the past that makes them not want to open the door for Hartea, maybe they're just not here -- who knows? He would lift one foot in the air, doing a 90 degree turn as he began to walk away, he was now within the Modern Blockade, a small city like area that was full of advanced technology, despite it being called a "Modern Blockade", this was its name because this should be and might possibly be the modern lifestyle for all human beings. Hartea would walk through the crowd of people, making contact with no one and not looking back at the people he passes by, as he simply is trying to slip by. He would stop at a small cafe like area, as he smiled and rolled inside! He would see a line of people, and it wasn't long before he was next up in line, as he froze for a moment
Cashier(Female) Hi, welcome to bucks of the stars! We're trying to get copyrighted, how may I help you?
Hartea: Can I get uhhh. . two number niiiiness, a number nine largeee, a number six with extra diiiiiiipp, a number sevennnn, two number forty fivesss, one with cheese, and a large soda. And a cookie!
Cashier(Female): . . .Sir, we don't sell any of that.
Hartea: What? Not even the cookie???
Cashier(Female): We have cookies!
Hartea: I'll take it!
Cashier(Female): Okay. . . that'll be. . .$1.10!
Hartea: . . .
Hartea would silently walk away from the Cashier, leaving her utterly speechless. He would walk out feeling unaccomplished, as he looked around the city streets plunged with lots and lots of people, many people seem to be walking away from the area -- he would look at a big bulletin board and see it turn on -- as a man with red hair and evil eyes would be the only thing on the screen, as he laughed. This was Karma, and Harashi could be seen behind him with his head about to be sliced off his neck, Hartea's eyes widened at the sight of it, his heart began pounding and he had to rub his eyes a couple of times because he couldn't believe what he was seeing!

Karma: Everyone, we're having an event today. One challenger must show up to the stadium in the Battle Blockade to save our hostage from decapitation, be sure to get here in two hours, or your brother's head will be rolling off his neck!
And just like that, the Modern Blockade was empty, and Hartea stood there -- amazed. How could people leave so quickly?
Hartea: . . .Did. . .everyone. . .-
???: Go to the Battle Blockade so quickly? Yes, it's only a small walk in the park away.
Hartea would turn to the feminine voice that finished his statement, the woman has pale white skin and icy blue eyes. Her hair is a dark-gray color of medium length that is pent-up slightly in the back by her white bow that has blue stripes on the ends. In her shinobi clothes, she wears a solid white furisode kimono that hangs off her shoulders and exposes her cleavage. The outfit has a blue double-lined trim with a blue obi on the back. Hartea kept his hands gripped as he gulped, and began walking away
Hartea: Sorry. . .I. . .I have to go save my brother.
???: Your brother? The one who will be decapitated soon? Hm. . .Sorry Hartea, but I'm not letting you get to that stadium.
Hartea: What!? Oh, whatever, you can't stop me!
Hartea would begin running when the woman would remove a fan from behind her and raise it upwards -- creating a gigantic wind storm that blasted Hartea off his feet and heads first into the ground. He would stand up, glaring the woman down as he wiped a little bruise away from on his face, clenching his fist.
Hartea: Well. . .I guess this is the way things are going to have to go do down.
Yumi: I, am Yumi -- and I have been instructed by Karma to defeat you.
