The Emperor’s creations marched upon the front of the new war. The skyline exploding into a chaotic war of ship and anti-air. The many weapons of the titans clashing with each other. Hordes of Romans, Russians, and Mongolians fought one another. The guns barely affecting the battle compared to the destruction caused by the war machines. The Russians smaller titans running into battle and mowing through lines of Romans as their titans overwhelmed the Emperor’s creations. It was a march of defeat as they massacred the Romans.
Quintis sat on a log, the front only a couple thousand meters away. He was put in the back as a Veteran. He would climb the concrete palisade walls and look at the chaos, then go down as the mortar fire grew closer.
“We are damn losing! And has the Emperor done nothing to help us!” Yelled a Roman to glaring gasmasks. One of the marines lost their patience as the Roman began to speak again about such views. “He brought us his creations to help us in the fight! How dare you hate in the Emperor’s name!” “The Emperor has done nothing but cause more war! We should call peace and end this massacre~~” The marine didn’t finish before a gun fire ripped through the air and the marine’s corpse fell.
A soldier in a lighter green and grey armour was standing there, the red glow of his gasmask was different from the Romans, yet… familiar.
Quintis stared and then realized, The Emperor has called upon the Imperial Roman Territories of Northern Newland to help in our war efforts! The other Romans seemed to notice this as well. A marching army of Newlanders moved into the palisade, planes and tanks of a new design came with them. A massive titan shook the ground as its legs sank into the mud and it stood still.

The Newlander that shot the marine spoke to them over the radio, “All Mainland Romans, look away as this titan fires, its uranium blast will shred your eyes if you see it, your googles aren’t designed for such power.”
The marines looked away, not second guessing the Newlanders order. The ground shook violently and a loud sound roared, like the yell of a massive monster. Then it all went silent. Until from the frontlines you could hear a blast. The skyline turning a foggy colour and the horizon turning red and orange with flames.
Oh fuck… Thought Quintis, realizing the destruction that this war has now caused the Empire and world as a whole. Maybe… Forgive me Emperor for this, but maybe the marine was right… Maybe… Just maybe we have gone to far.
The radio crackled again, “Look away again, theres more Russians to slaughter in the Emperor’s name.”
Quintis looked away and closed his eyes, fear of the future drilling into his head as the world shook, and the roar erupted again.
