《Aurelion》Chapter 10

At the first sights of sunlight, I opened my eyes to the new days and said to myself "Alright, we need to find Ghork and hopefully reach the village before nightfall." It was a habit I have everyday where I tell myself my goals for the day.
I looked around to try to spot for possible dangers, and also to check up on Kishi. I spotted Kishi still sleeping on the spot he chose yesterday. Even though he is asleep, I noticed that he kept his right hand on the handle of the katana. It's most likely to counterattack as soon as possible if anything were to try to attack him.
I decided to look for some food first while Kishi is still enjoying his rest. I jumped down from my spot onto the ground and begin the hunt.
When I got back, I was surprised by the scene of Kishi sitting there and giving me another stare, and with a newly stacked unlit firewood in front of him. I started the fire and we started roasting the chickens that I brought back.
"Do you get a feeling that we are being watched?" I asked Kishi as I was slowly twisting my chicken to the other side so it can get as evenly cooked as possible.
"Who knows. I sense that the demi-human is still around the area where he was last night. Only now, he seemed to have gotten up onto a tree, but I believe that it is still too far for him to even see or notice us." Kishi said.
"Yeah." I replied. "My flames don't produce any smoke as it was created by magic, so it's not likely that he can know where we are."
Right after I finished my sentence, I realized that the both of us has just jinxed it. The demi-human jumped into the air and landed right next to the river, about 10 meters from our fire.

"Human, don't you dare run away from me again!" The demi-human said. I would be lying if I said that I didn't have a thought of doing the exact opposite of what he told and just run and fast as I could, but I was slightly relaxed as Kishi was next to me.
"Demi-human, are you the one named 'Ghork', the person we are searching for?" Kishi asked calmly, since it wasn't him that was clearly in a checkmate position with the demi-human
"Oh, so you know my name already!" Ghork replied. "Okay, back to where we were. Human! I challenge you to a battle! You ran from me the last time, but I hope that you have man up and accept my challenge"
I looked at Kishi. He gave me an reassuring and 'I will help you before you become a pancake' nod. I returned my focus back to the demi-human and asked "Why do you want to battle me so much? I'm extremely weak when compared to Alduin, so what's the point of battling someone like me? If you answer my question, then I'll accept the battle."
Ghork have a little laugh and said "Isn't it obvious? You are a human, that's why I want to fight you. I heard humans are strong, so I have always wanted to fight one myself. Have I answer your puny question yet?"
"Alright then. I wish I can live up to your expectations."
"Haha, you're a funny one." Ghork laughed and said "I'll give you a free chance to att..."
Before Ghork even finished, I dashed at him. This was because I have always learnt that it's best to attack someone when they are busy talking. I did what's basically a bladed uppercut with my right hand. I was holding my dagger in an downwards position, the position people normally hold one when doing a high stab. My dagger was infused with a kind of magic that will cause the enemy to lose strength and also can cause then to fall into sleep or even a coma.

Ghork didn't managed to fully dodge it. He was only lucky to move his right side of his body, the side I was aiming for, backwards just a little, and reducing the damage. I still managed to do a moderate sized cut on him. It wasn't all that deep, but it was enough for magic to enter his body and start spreading. The cut started from around the middle part of his stomach up until his shoulder.
Before he even got he chance to recover his senses after the first attack, I twisted to my left and did something like a 270° , which is anti-clockwise when viewed from the sky. I swing my left hand to let it started generating momentum and force when I was still half way into my twist. I did a stab with the dagger, once again infused with the same kind of magic, penetrated deeply into his left shoulder.
I pulled out my dagger as he jumped backwards, which was also a bad mistake to make when up against a fighter with close combat and short range combat like me.
I quickly infused my dagger with a booster type magic and threw it towards him while he is still in mid air. He didn't even have the chance to react. As soon as he landed, my dagger stabbed him straight in his stomach.
The booster type magic basically boost the effects of the weakness magic and makes a target faint.
I slowly walked to him. I can see that he is trying to gather plasma as some plasma gathers around his fist, but it soon dissipated. Ghork's face was filled with surprised, fear, anger, and mostly, tiredness.
When I reach him, I pulled out my dagger from his stomach. He closed his eyes and gracefully fell backwards. Just like that, the battle was over in mere seconds.
