"...Hello there..."
"...Ta-ku-mi-San!"
The young man followed up, grinning...
Everyone turned to Takumi, they all were in shock.
Takumi was looking down. As this, almost intimidating, grin showed up on his face.
"What do you want… Kirakuma..." Takumi asked.
The other young man looked at him, as he took a huge puff out of his cigarette.
"You should exactly know why… Family of Tokyo's most dangerous gang, I-shi-do-San..." The man followed up, grinning.
Everyone's eyes widened up. Ukato remembered the discussion they had when Nokado was still laying in the bed…

"If you are hiding something, tell it now." Ukato followed up.
Kuruka looked feared to the both of them. "G- Guys- !"
Kuruka got interrupted by the both, as they walked to each other.
"Is this rumor so bad that you have to hide it?" Ukato asked frustrated.
"Yes, it is… I have the right to not tell you." Takumi followed up.
- - * - -
"So that is why everyone was keeping their distance from you… And us..." Ukato mumbled.
Nirnasha looked at Takumi, then at the rest.
"You know… At least tell them?" Kirakuma said, grinning.
"...If you have nothing to say… Then leave!" Takumi shouted, still looking down.
"Oh but I have something to tell you… " Kirakuma explained.
"... But it is about your father, so-" "Spit it out!" Takumi interrupted Kirakuma.
"Sure, Sure… Calm it down… " Kurakuma said, trying to laugh it off.
"You owe me money, I understand if you have forgotten it… " Kirakuma explained, grinning.
"...How much do I owe you?" Takumi asked.
"Ohh… Just a small loan of..." Kurakuma said. His smile was so big, the unimaginable amount of yen he asked was-
"... Ten Million Yen."
"T- Ten Million?" Takumi mumbled.
Takumi's eyes widened up,

he suddenly remembered...
He was serious about that promise?
Kirakuma slowly walked up to him, as he grabbed him by his cheeks, pulling Takumi's face in front of his own.
"Hehehe… You should know exactly what happens when you don't pay that-"
Takumi swung his fist, slamming Kirakuma out of the dining hall. Takumi walked up to him, but the others held him off.
"ARE YOU MOCKING ME?!" Takumi shouted, in anger.
Kirakuma laid his hand on his cheek, which was turning red. Kirakuma slowly stood up.
"You think… I am never, ever gonna fall in the path you started!" Takumi shouted loudly.
Kirakuma wiped the dust off his suit, as he looked him in the eye.
"We'll see about that… " Kirakuma said, grinning. As he walked to the door.
"... I'll be back, tomorrow… " Kirakuma followed up.
"... We'll see if you still want to pay us or not." Kirakuma mumbled, as he walked out and slammed the door close.
"That little-..." Takumi still mumbled, as he finally calmed down.
Ukato then suddenly walked up to Takumi and grabbed him by his jacket.
"You idiot! Why didn't you tell me!" Ukato shouted.
Takumi grabbed Ukato's arms.
"You wouldn't have cared, anyway!" Takumi shouted back.
"We are friends, no… We are brothers! We can help you with these kind of things- ?!" As Ukato was explaining, he stopped.
Takumi was tearing up, trying hard to show a grin.
"H… How would you know how I feel!" Takumi shouted.
Ukato let go of Takumi, Takumi did the same.
"You guys know nothing… The feeling… The feeling of trusting no one!" Takumi shouted, again.
Takumi fell on his knees, as he laid his hands on his face.
"...Trusting no one… " Takumi mumbled.
- - - - -
"Takumi!" A woman shouted.
"Coming!!" Takumi shouted back, as he walked downstairs.
"Mom and Dad are leaving the house, your brother will be home soon any moment." The woman said, patting him on his head.

They both wanted to walk out, but Takumi tugged on his mothers shirt.
"W… What is brother doing?" Takumi asked.
His father walked up to him, kneeling down. Takumi turned to his father.
"Your brother is… Going for his future-job… " His father explained.
"R- Really?" Takumi asked, as his eyes lightened up.
"Then I wish him many luck!" Takumi followed up.
His father stood back up. As he smirked.
"...Yeah." His father mumbled, as he and Takumi's mother walked out the house.
Takumi walked back to the living room, until suddenly-
-Pang!-
Takumi's eyes widened up-
He quickly ran back to the front door, slamming it open. His eyes widened up as he saw his father with a gun, pointed at the other side of the street. Takumi noticed someone laying on the ground…
blood was dripping from out his father's arm...
and from his mother's chest...
- - - - -
"You would never understand… Even your closest friend can be your greatest enemy..."
- - - - -
"Who could do something like that..." Takumi mumbled.
His father slammed his fist onto the table. Takumi's eyes widened up.
"I-... Don't know… But I will make him pay, he won't take more lives of the Ishido family… " His father explained.
The front door opened up. Takumi's father turned to the door.
"You're late..." Takumi's father said.
"...Akurai." Takumi's father followed up, looking at this huge man, with stitches around his entire face.
"Excuses… I saw your son at the front of your door." Akurai said.
"...If you know something, spit it out." Takumi's father said.
"He was one of the Ishido Subordinates..." Akurai mumbled, looking to the window.
"W- What? I… Impossible!" Takumi's father said, as his eyes widened up.
"He had the tattoo on his back… And his eyes were red." Akurai replied.
"Those subordinates… Stinging me by my back, like a scorpion..." Takumi's father mumbled…
"From now on, keep your guard up..." Akurai said, walking off.
"Where are you going?" Takumi's father asked.
"... I have business to attend." Akurai explained, leaving from the front door…
- - - - -
"His own workers… Who are supposed to be the most loyal… Killed his wife, and they were aiming for his head… " Takumi mumbled, starting to sob.
Everyone was shocked of the story.
"I get what you mean..." Ukato mumbled.
"...But you taught us to stay strong, no matter what..." Ukato continued, Takumi looked up.
"...When I didn't want to attend the school, you made sure I did." Ukato explained.
"True, when I got put down… You stood up for me, without even knowing who I was." Kuruka followed up.
"When I said bad things, you made sure I would never do it again." Nokado said.
"I even tried to kill you… Yet you stood up for me, and Tado." Rikishi said, patting Tado.
Tado took off his surgical mask. Tado's mouth was surrounded with holes.
"...You gave me the courage to walk over my past." Tado said, smiling.
"We trusted our future in your hands… So you should do the same." Ukato said, reaching out his hand to him.
"Now come, stand up. Because he said he would come back tomorrow... We'll show him just who we are." Ukato followed up, smiling.
Takumi's eyes lightened up, as he then nodded.
"Okay..." Takumi mumbled, grabbing his hand tight...
"Let's show them, that they can't mess with a brother's bond… Especially not ours." Takumi said, smirking...

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
