Chapter 1 Epilogue: The Betrayed Forsaken Hero Walks On The Path Laid Out For Him

He understood what the Demon King and Ego Sors Aeterna meant, those words echoed out into his soul even as he sent his message they resounded in his head. Mankind was naturally corrupt, it was unable to keep itself in check. It kept on sending hero after hero to defeat the demon kings who would rise to protect their own land from the greed of the humans and after the deed was done the heroes were betrayed and would thus in turn one way or another turn into the next Demon King with the cycle continuing on and on and on. They failed to stop the corruption of the human heart and now they made the world stuck in this abyss of backwardness, the humans feared the demons at the same time they did not fear the danger of what a demon was. The Hero could always come and save the day right? No this time it would be different they needed pure unbridled evil to rule over them, driven to the point of near extinction depending on how he would see them in his journey that would later on change. Elaine was to be reborn into a new world one where she could live and smile with him again, one where she could never be tortured and killed. He needed to make that world, he knew he had a clock that was ticking because he had to head over to the Demon Palace to meet with Fiona and Myne, but he had to do something before that. He had to take care of the man who was responsible for leading to the destruction of his village, sweet sweet revenge upon everyone who decided to doom him to his fate of being a corpse. The full moon seemed to make his heart leap and bound as he left the undead to return to being corpses to tell the tale of what happened here. He took one of the clean daggers which were on one of the corpses and cut his long white hair short, he looks at his reflection once more in the blade smiling refreshingly.

“Heh”

A new story was being written here, one that would take the world by storm.
