《Starship Nyx》Chapter 22: Acoth'zuna and Gunou'miz

We went to the palace. The moment was strangely quiet. Ja'riwi thought that something was really wrong in the palace. I saw some yellow lights that pointed at him, suddenly I pushed him. He fell, so the bad vepoiws missed him. Gunou'miz' men died.
We ran to the protection while Gunou'miz ran fast to the palace. Ja'riwi would stop her. He saw that I shook the head and trusted in me. I overheard the bad vepoiws speaking happily about Gunou'miz. Why were they happy? I apologized for saying nothing, but I told to Ja'riwi and his men about Gunou'miz.
Phoni agreed with me. He was suspicious of Gunou'miz earlier. I asked about her love and he said yes. Ja'riwi didn't understand what we spoke about.
"Mi'olio loves Gunou'miz," I said.
"He behaved strangely due to her," Phoni added.
"I don't understand why Mi'olio would behave strangely, so he is normal," Ja'riwi said.
"The chip is in his brain because he obeys under Gunou'miz' control," Hana explained. "No, you are free!"
I knew about the chip. We were extremely astonished to hear about Gunou'miz' control, however. Hana also warned us that Mi'olio would die in around six hours. We had to be careful because Gunou'miz knew about us. I got the message from Nyx. It stated that the bomb team disarmed the bombs.
I told to everyone about the bombs. Ja'riwi became worried for his crew. He almost sent the message to Olodawaia. Auo'eon interrupted his boss and said that the bombs were disarmed. I thought that he lied. Wait, he was a spy!
"You are a spy, Dragafio, huh?" I asked.
"Huh? I am not Dragafio," Auo'eon said.
"A spy doesn't reveal the deed!"
Ja'riwi asked Auo'eon if it was true. The rat realized that he made a big mistake. He would try to throw the bomb to us, abruptly Ava knocked out him. Phoni was suspicious all the time of Auo'eon. He never trusted in the rat. I looted Auo'eon later and he had an earpiece.
Ja'riwi sent the message to Olodawaia instantly. We waited for him. He asked to me about my knowledge of espionage. I told that my grandfather was a spy because he taught me about the espionage. He had been a spy of MSS, Old Chinese Intelligence Agency. We didn't have time.
I didn't understand what it meant. Gunou'miz gave the order to the armed men to kill us in the forest. The bitch was the bandit queen and the leader of Astowi! I wouldn't tell to the team about her yet! We had a long discussion about our tactics. Astowi were taking over the palace.
What would we do? The hidden rooms had to exist. I asked Phoni and Ja'riwi if the palace had any hidden rooms. They didn't have an idea. I asked about the myths because I was interested in them. Phoni heard about the myth from Auo'eon.
"Although I don't believe in the omahaio. It is just an old myth," Phoni said.
"The myths can become true sometimes. What does the myth tell about? You can summarize it," I said.

"The myth tells that the room is in the water, but the palace doesn't have water!"
"Wait, the room is in the water...? Shower room!"
Phoni became quiet and then he remembered where the shower room was. He ran fast. I gave the earpiece to XRN-1. We followed him. Jenca, Adolfo, XRN-1 and Cunoa stayed with Auo'eon. We found Phoni later.
I found three heavy tanks in the hangar. Why were they in the hangar? Phoni looked at the wall. We didn't have time to think. The wall was black. I knocked the wall, so it was hard.
"What does the myth tell more about?" I asked.
"I am skeptic to the myth," Phoni said. "It just tells that we may not go back, not forward either."
"It sounds like we would go in diagonally."
I went in diagonally. The ally and my friends followed me. We looked around the room. It showed that the shower room was for women, however. I asked Phoni angrily about this room. He swore that he only heard about the myth and we believed in him.
We left the room. I overheard the bad vepoiws saying that we would die. We sneaked forward. Somebody would come. I signaled the ally and my friends to freeze. We stayed.
The bad vepoiws went to us and we looked at each other. It showed that the vepoiws were the five members of the ROCIS. The three members were women. One of them looked like Xo'maxony. Oh right, she had to be the sister! She asked us how we came fast here.
Ja'riwi explained about the shower room. Everyone became surprised. The members pointed with the handguns at us humans, but Xo'maxony's sister ordered them to stop. They obeyed her. I understood that she was the boss! She seemed very tough.
"Are you Xo'maxony's sister?" I asked.
"Yes, I am his big sister," Xo'maxony's sister said, "I am Inzioda Bo'tiqunawa Oilua of ROCIS."
"I am Captain Mara Tan of United Earth Star Fleet. Is 'inzioda' the title or rank?"
"It is a rank. Mara Tan? Oh right, I heard about you! I hope that Xo'maxony treated you like a mistress. But if he wouldn't do it, then I would berate him."
"Yes, he treated me. Thank you!"
I overheard the bad vepoiws saying later that Gunou'miz needed to watch the men, which raped women due to the immortality. What in the...? Holy shit! Gunou'miz was Ogzia! I still didn't warn the good vepoiws about her. They would become afraid for Ogzia.
We sneaked to the throne hall, so we stood at the door. Bonoa'mia and her father were in the cage while Gunou'miz had sat in the throne chair. There was a ritual. Where did the ritual come from? Why was it here? I thought that it was destroyed.
The vepoiw men raped the helpless vepoiw women. Mi'olio stood still. The vepoiw women screamed. What would we do? The good vepoiws tried to save their royal members and the helpless vepoiw women. I stopped them and then I pointed at the hall floor. It was very clean.

The ritual hadn't begun yet because the blood didn't flow. I thought about the immortal ritual and the bombs. However, I was not sure about Gunou'miz' motive. Would she explode this planet? Why was the goddess evil? It was very strange.
There were two unanswerable motives. I remembered immediately that the mythology said that the soldier found Ogzia. Oh no, I knew who the real soldier was! I said lowly to the ally and my friends that I would explain. They only nodded. I asked Ja'riwi later about the bombs and he nodded slowly.
We ran and stopped the ritual. Gunou'miz wasn't very happy. I drew my pistol from my holster. The two bad vepoiws jumped on me, suddenly I hit the heads. Gunou'miz became angry. Almost everybody were surprised.
"Kill her now, you crybabies!" Gunou'miz said.
The other bad vepoiws didn't dare to come.
"For the first, we apologize to interrupt the ritual. And for the second, I have my pistol that is dangerous," I said.
"I will kill you..." Gunou'miz said.
"Ogzia is your ancestress. Her motive is revenge, Gunou'miz! Let me tell. It is just a theory, of course."
A king had been blinded by his love for a young woman. They were together in many years. The king's name was Goilo and the woman's name was Ogzia. Goilo was not aware that Ogzia was a thief. Ogzia stole the wealthy artifacts from the royal family. She became happy.
One of the royal guards caught the thief. She smiled. The royal guards brought her to Goilo. They reported to their king. He asked Ogzia why she stole the wealthy artifacts. She laughed and said that she owned them. Goilo ordered his royal guards to kill his girlfriend and they obeyed.
"She said first, 'The ghost seeks for her revenge.' I am not stupid," I said, "Goilo didn't know if their baby existed."
Everybody was shocked.
"Yes, it sounds strange," I said. "So she didn't say something about their baby because her baby was hiding."
"His Majesty and Her Highness is Gunou'miz' blood line," Ja'riwi said.
"It is true."
Gunou'miz commanded Mi'olio to kill me. Hana sneaked quickly to his back and scanned his head. He slept at once and Gunou'miz wasn't happy. Ja'riwi said to her to give up, but she began to laugh evilly. The roof opened automatically. Gunou'miz took the remote control, so she showed it for us.
I asked to the bitch to click while I holstered my pistol. Ja'riwi and I were soft because the bombs were disarmed. Gunou'miz clicked and laughed evilly. We looked up at the sky. It didn't happen. Gunou'miz wasn't very happy. She cursed.
We waited for Gunou'miz. She tried to click. It didn't happen either. Gunou'miz realized that the bombs were disarmed.
"Give up now, Gunou'miz!" Ja'riwi said.
"Never!" Gunou'miz said.
I understood how it felt when one didn't give up.
"That's not everything. I don't know if the mythology is real or fiction," I said. "Who found the baby? Remember what the mythology told about."
"Yes, it was the soldier," Ja'riwi said.
"He was Gu'angamo's ancestor. Gu'angamo is Acoth'zuna."
Everybody was very stunned. Gu'angamo came forward. She asked to me if I had an evidence. I found an interesting excuse.
"I have a good question. What is your last name?" I asked.
"Kino'lia," Gu'angamo said.
"As an archaeologist, I investigate very carefully."
"What?"
The moment became quiet.
"Yes, some siblings didn't respect each other sometimes," I said. "Is it correct, Lieutenant Commander Malin?"
"Yes, ma'am!" Malin said.
Gu'angamo began to run invisibly against me. I threw her instantly to the floor, but she reached my holster. She tried to take my pistol, suddenly I moved her hand. Gunou'miz ran against me later. I kicked her knee. She fell down.
What would Gunou'miz do? She planned to call the reinforcement. I reminded her about my pistol. She cursed many times! I punched her neck, so she became knocked out. Ja'riwi and his members freed the royal family.
It felt like we missed something. The hall began to shake.
"What is that?" I asked.
"Who forgot the bombs?" Gu'angamo said.
We forgot the atomic bombs. Ja'riwi asked Gu'angamo about them. She was rarely soft. I called Adam and asked to him about the core. He said that it went very fast, but he never has seen the same thing earlier. Gu'angamo laughed evilly and said that we couldn't stop the bombs.
Malin suspected that the ritual controlled the atomic bombs. After an hour, the ritual became destroyed. Adam said that the core changed back to the current time. We were safe. Gu'angamo became angry and cursed! We won.
"Gu'angamo, it is over!" Ja'riwi said.
"No, it is not over!" Gu'angamo said.
"Come on! It is over, Bo'tiqunawa. You asked to me if I had an evidence," I said. "No, I don't have any evidence. I tested your react. Oops!"
I asked about Yoai Uma when it was over. Bonoa'mia would send the ships to the enemy planet. I asked to her if we might follow them. She said no because the Kingdom had a lot of ships. The king said that if we would need the reinforcement, then he would send the ships to us. We thanked him for the kindness.
I asked about the women and the men. They would get a penalty by the judge. I asked Ja'riwi about the tanks in the hangar. He explained that they were very old. I asked about the age. The tanks were four hundred years.
We got the textiles and the material later. They were very pricey. We thanked the king for the textiles and the material. The king also thanked us for freeing his daughter. I asked to him if that was everything. He asked about the political system and I explained about the democracy.
We flew to Nyx later.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.
