《A God's Freedom》That god called Ji

Author here. Has been some time since I last published anything on this side. I failed some of my older stories and kind of became afraid to start anything new from that time. So yeah this is kind of a new beginning. By the way if anyone read my old stories, fret no I have improved my english and my writing skills (especcially my grammar) so there won't be the cyptic scribbles I did in my early times.

Hope you enjoy!

“Let me ask you, do you believe in Gods?” (Ji)

“No of course not!” (Sa~)

“That’s a bad….” (Ji)

“Why would this be bad?” (Sa~)

“ ’Cause I’m a god.” (Ji)

….

“No you aren’t?” (Sa~)

“Are you sure about that.” (Ji)

“… No…” (Sa~)

“Let me show you.” (Ji)

The texting stocked for a moment. Sija stared at the display and became nervous for a moment. She didn’t believe that the person she knew under the nickname Ji would truly be a god. There was no way she would believe that, it was just one of those ridiculous claims people make on the internet!

Yet she stared at the chat. She wanted to know just what this person she didn’t really know would try to do in order to convince her.

Suddenly someone tapped at her shoulder.

She freaked out and a shrill cry echoed through the three-story tall building.

“Calm, girl, calm down!”, a startled and slightly panicked voice came from behind her. “I told you I would show you, didn’t I?”

She shuddered and turned around slowly. A vaguely familiar face appeared in front of her. It was the same face as the one of the avatar Ji was using….

Sija fainted.

Ji stood there staring like an idiot. Then he suddenly sighed.

“Humans really react in the most stupid ways…”, he breathed in and took a look around the room.

It was quite tidy, large enough for a teenage girl and decorated in a simple but nice manner. All in all, Ji liked it.

He hesitated for a moment and looked at Saji who had fainted in her chair. Then he looked around once more and walked over to the bed that was placed in one corner of the room. He sat down and thought about what to do now. After some time, he took out something from his pocket. It was a small, very flat stone. He reached into his other pocket and took out a piece of charcoal. Then a drew an circle onto the stone. It was unfinished with a small gap between one end and the other.

He looked at the stone for a while, then he nodded.

“Yep this should work….”, he said faintly.

He stood up again walked to the middle of the room and got onto one knee. He placed the stone in front of him and gently blew onto the circle. The black powder of the charcoal was blown of the stone, but instead of falling to the ground it rose up into a revolving circle. It was unfinished just as the circle on the stone was, but as it revolved faster and faster it appeared to become complete.

Ji snapped his finger and the black circle changed form. It expanded and formed two distinct black blobs which continued to move in a circle. Those blobs continued to change and slowly more details became visible. Fins began to form, and the blobs took the form of two fish. Long barbs appeared on their mouths and a black and white pattern appeared on their bodies. Soon after two perfect koi-fish flew in front of Ji.

Their barbs were to long and they flew in the air. They truly were prefect koi….

One was mostly black with a white pattern on it, the other was mostly white and had a black pattern. They looked extremely beautiful and there was no doubt that koi enthusiasts would pay thousands of euros to purchase one of them.

Ji grinned, satisfied with the result. He rose up and looked over to Saji who still wasn’t moving.

“Girl wake up. You can’t sleep forever!”, he walked over to her and gently flicked his finger against her forehead.

She twitched a little and her eyeslids flattered. Her eyes rapidly opened as did her mouth.

“What the actual fuck!”, was the first thing she exclaimed. She stared at Ji.

“How…. HOW????!”, she was a total mess.

Ji looked awkward.

“I told you I was a god…..”

She stared at him like he was an idiot.

“There are no gods.”, she stated.

His eyebrows rose.

“Then how do you explain those?”, he pointed at the two koi who had stopped flying in circles and now flew all across the room.

Saji stared even more. Her brain seemed to crash again as she did not react for some time. Ji waited for her response, rolling his eyes at her reaction.

“This koi… ok fuck this!”, she suddenly closed her eyes and clenched her fists. For about three seconds she did nothing, then she relaxed her hands and opened her eyes, directly staring at Ji.

“Who…are….. you?”

“Finally.”, Ji smiley. “Finally, a proper question.

Well as you already know I am Ji. And yeah, I’m a god.”

She stared again. Then she started to nod slowly.

“Ok…. You are a god…. So, what do you want? Why are you here?”

“I’m bored. I wanted to talk to you in person.”, Ji shrugged his shoulders. “Ya know we gods have quite a lot of time to do stuff, so I thought it would be fun to talk to you and show you some stuff. I didn’t think you would faint for a few moments once I come here…”

“You came for fun…”, she repeated, somehow sounded defeated.

“Yep.”, he cheerfully said. “By the way, these koi are for you.”, he shot a glance at the two koi and they floated over to Saji, circling her and sometimes brushing against her. It almost looked like they wanted to show their affection.

Saji looked somewhat nervous, but she allowed the koi to stay by her side. She seemed to have calmed down a bit and after a few moments she stretched out her hand to touch one of the koi. After she touched it and confirmed that it truly was real and not some sort of hallucination she looked back to Ji.

“So…, what are we going to do now?”, she sounded a little nervous but also excited.

Ji seemed to think for a while. He made a little shrug.

“I have no fucking idea.”

“Great…”

Saji, 16 years old, sat in front of a god and asked herself whether she had gone crazy.
