《Master of the Multiverse》Ricky's life

*brrnnng* *brnnng* a hand groggily reached for whatever is making all this racket, so early in the morning. The hand grasped on to the noisy device and quickly silences it, but not before half open eyes glare at the screen and see the current time 0700. "It's 7 already, guess I have to get up I don't want to be late again", he thinks to himself.
Ricky lazily gets out bed and shuffles to the bathroom. After he relieves himself he looks in the mirror and sees the same thing he sees every day. Messy blonde hair, blue eyes, and a mustache-less blonde beard that covers his recently attained double chin. He takes a couple good sniffs in his armpits and decides a quick wipe me down will do for today. He couldn't be bothered to take another shower, besides he can always take one when he gets home. That is if he remembers.
Realizing 30 mins had already past when he looked at his cellphone again he quickly threw on his navy blue polo and the same khaki shorts from the day previous. Jumps in his car and starts the drive through his busy city to work. "Same shit, different day" he numbly thought to himself. During the drive too work and home he doesn't listen to the radio. To him it's the best time to think, rather then listen to the top 100 pop hits of this week. He normally just day dreams about where he wish he could go or be. Before he got caught up in the everyday ritual of adult life he used to be a very hard core gamer and unlike most who usually mock people for spending their teenage years stuck in a chair staring at a screen to Ricky these were the best times of his life.

Not that his life lacked adventure and excitement. He served 6 years in the army as a Apache crew chief. He's skydived into combat, been shot at and seen a lot of shit blow up. But even that didn't compare to the strategy and progression from his 48 hour raids he did as a teenager. That was his passion that's what he loved to do.
Just as he finished his thought he realized that he had just arrived at work and needed shuffle in the hanger and pretend to be busy for the next 10 hours. It wasn't that he minded working or that he wasn't very good at his job. It just all seemed pointless in the next 3 years all the work and effort he put into something would be decommissioned and sent to a scrap yard somewhere. How can you know that and still be motivated. He's boss and co-workers already fell into the same rut allowing him to get by pretty easily doing the bare minimum. As long as he showed up he wouldn't get fired. After the day was over it was just rinse and repeat.

Assimilation
Life can become dull, boring, but the universe has a way of changing that. Enter Interface, a way of governing and maintaining ones own body, skills, possessions and more. Interface is a system as old as time, and spreads throughout the universe through a means known as 'Sparks'. Individuals or groups use Sparks as a means of assimilating new territories and planets. The universe is full of several Confederations, groups, and free radicals under the influence of the Interface, and now it's Earth's time to join the fold. It was a simple spring evening when Jim was walking home from work, tired and raw, that's when it hit, the reckoning to change his life, and those of everyone on Earth, forever.

8 162Totally Not a Chosen Hero
Jesse's life just started to get great. He bought a comfy apartment, received an offer for a six-figure job, and scored a date with the girl of his dreams. But then, parallel world wizards magically kidnapped Jesse alongside a dozen of strangers. Has no one taught them consent?! The emperor and his confidants told Jesse and other earthlings that they were the Chosen Heroes and a bright future awaited them. Bullshit. That they just needed to learn magical combat at the academy, and then defeating Dark Lords would be easy-peasy. Oh yeah? That as long as they completed their sacred duty, they could choose to return to Earth or continue living on Aethelrend as kings and queens. No thanks. While other so-called Heroes were easily tricked by empty promises of power, riches, and even immortality, Jesse knew better than to believe his kidnappers. He was getting the hell out.

At Palomar High, every student is required to join a club. Neil Velazquez is an incoming senior at this school. From the basket weaving club to the humanist society, he coasted through junior year by lurking in such unrelated, nonserious, and low-commitment groups. He's not interested in participating in any activities. He could care less, and is just looking for a place to fulfill the requirement. He's panicked that all of the easy clubs are disappearing. That's when he stumbles across the "Going-Home Club". It's a club where nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. Vector Attribution: Building Vectors by Vecteezy
