《I. Galactic War》Ch. 2 Prisoners Interogation

-POV General Rostov (mc)-
I watched excitedly with a huge grin plastered on my face as the door of the transport ship opened. It all went perfectly well. We eliminated the cruiser, made the high-ranking enemies our prisoners, and all that without one casualty!
As Commander Tarkov brought General Aquila to me, I was overjoyed.
"It's great to get to know you in person. The circumstances are the most favorable I could wish for."
General Aquila only grinned at that.
"General Aquila, please follow me to the bridge."
"Oh, and you can take these off," I told a soldier, pointing to her handcuffs.
Once we arrived on the bridge, and she could see her burning ship in all its glory, she asked:
"When will you bring my soldiers over to your ship? As you can see from Commander Tarkov's report, we are fully cooperating."
"Yes, that is a wise decision. I hope you will also keep cooperating when you are asked critical questions. You have two options, whether you answer my questions directly or I will have to call my most skilled Intelligence Officer instead. If I were you, I would choose the former."
"What about my people?"
She again asked, clearly caring about them.
"They will slowly be brought over to this ship. Don't worry. I keep my word."
After a while of enjoying the view of the badly damaged cruiser, I asked her: "Say, General Aquila, did you get captured before?"
"No, you are my first, General Rostov."
"It is my pleasure then." - I grinned.
"Are you ready to answer some questions?" - I asked.
"Sure, go ahead." - she said dejectedly.
"First questions first, what was your mission? Please save yourself the trouble of trying to lie. It will not work. The Department of Intelligence is listening and checking your answers to the likelihood of them while we speak. Should you lie to me, and I will find it out, there will be severe consequences, to say the least."

"I know, General Rostov, I'm no fool." She said in a slightly annoyed tone.
"As you have probably figured out already, we are on a spy mission. Our task is to build a spy station deep in your borders, so we can see the movement of your fleets way earlier and get a huge informational advantage, with which the war would have tilted in our favor."
She sighed at that.
"Were you given a specific location, or were you tasked with finding one?"
"As we do not have much intelligence beyond your blockades, we did get tasked with finding a good place for the base as well as erecting it." - she answered.
"Next question, who gave you this mission?"
"This mission was directly issued by a high ranking member of the Intelligence Department under strict safekeeping, as we did not want any of your spies to get wind of this. You have some in all of our agencies, after all."
I only grinned at that.
"Thank you for your cooperation. These are all the questions I have for you at the moment. Should the need arise, I get back to you."
"Commander Tarkov, Commander Alfons, and Commander Miller, each of you will form a transport group. Additionally, take three Lieutenants each they will lead their own transporters. After that, you will fly into the enemy hangar and get as many prisoners as possible. I only ever want one group to be in the hangar, for the unlikely case they will resist. You will then fly back to our hangar and hand over the prisoners to Chief Commander Bonanza. He and his men will lead the prisoners into their cells. You will repeat this process until every prisoner is on our ship."
"Understood, General." - The three answered through their short distance communicator.

After three hours and a half-burned ship later, every prisoner is in their designated cell.
The door to the bridge opened, and Chief Commander Bonanza enters.
"Sir, the ship is now empty. We successfully managed to extract information out of the ship, which confirmed the answers of General Aquila. We also transported everything of value onto our ship and brought the soldiers to their cells.
"Great job Chief Commander. Get some rest."
"Thank you."
After Chief Commander Bonanza exited the bridge, I gave the command to enter hyperdrive with the destination Abbera system.
The Abbera system is where the rest of my fleet is stationed and where my mission is to keep the borders closed and safe. General Aquila and her companions will be under our care until a prisoner cruiser will come and get them.

8 1048A Standard Model of Magic
The world ended, and magic came back. The part our parents didn't expect, was for Science to break on reentry. Twenty years after the apocalypse, with our nations dismantled and hidden continents unearthed, a new generation has grown up in the wreckage of 21st century civilization. For us, the fantastic is at our doorstep and we have had no choice but to fight back. Meanwhile, the laws of nature bend and break at the whims of immortal gods, all of which are now dead and none of which are content to stay that way. But we cannot afford to give up. We are the stewards of a rewritten century, in which a little luck and a whole lot of magic might make anything possible – maybe even a world better than the one we lost. A Standard Model of Magic is a complete overhaul of my old story A Storm in the Fall. I'm afraid I was unhappy with the LitRPG elements, which I don't mind reading, but I apparently loath writing. Sorry. Once I'd made the choice to decouple the story from the OF that inspired it and reconfigure the magic system to my satisfaction, little of the original plotline survived. I will be salvaging most of my original characters, and I will keep some elements which are endemic to the genre, but that is all. I don't have an update schedule which I can commit to yet, but I will try to maintain a weekly pace.(This is currently RoyalRoad exclusive, since I'm lazy. If you find it posted elsewhere, it wasn't me and it wasn't with permission) If you're interested, I've set up a discord.
8 198Automata Annex
This Fiction is intended as a suppliment to my main title "I was reborn into a fantasy world as a magic robot?! Automata Prime". This is the appendix that would normally go at the END of the book. I will be updating the entries as new information is revealed in the story and linking back here from the author notes. Here we'll explore the world that I've crafted in the book, learn new things about the characters, and get a deeper understanding of how magic works. Think of it as an Automata Wiki.
