《Universe 2.0》Chapter 4 The undersea villa & Finding the energy core

The party walked through the door and saw a lamp bouncing toward them. "Hello!" Said the lamp, "Welcome to the undersea villa! I'm Larry, your assistant. Now please follow me to familiarize yourselves with the environment here."
They entered, in turn, the large living room on the first floor and sat on a soft black sofa. The massage ball in the sofa began to work automatically. William looked at the overhanging places with surprise.
"Comfortable?" Said Larry the lamp.
"Sure. There's nothing uncomfortable here." William replied.
"Thanks! The map here is in this computer. I'm going to open this file for you." Larry said as he opened a file with a very strange suffix. A few seconds after the computer had loaded it, they saw a stereoscopic picture.
"I took a lot of photos and spent a lot of time making them into this simulation software." Larry explained to them, operating the computer to make the simulated person inside start walking, "Gentlemen, this villa is about 1,000 square meters and consists of three floors and a loft. Look, here is the living room and dining room. There are some commonly used items in it, such as sofa, coffee table, wardrobe, dining table and chairs. Here is the kitchen. Above is the induction cooker, and the cabinet below can be used to store dishes, ingredients and so on."
The party marveled at Larry's fluent operations and the extremely high reduction degree of the software.
"Now we go up in the maglev elevator. The second floor contains three large bedrooms, each with luxurious and comfortable king-size beds. Even if you're exhausted, you can take advantage of a night to recharge. The third floor has two bedrooms and a storage room, the latter allowing you to store enough clutter without taking up too much space. The loft is mainly used to store clutter. Now you must have a first impression, so familiarize yourselves with them in that order."
So, in that order, they succeeded in familiarizing themselves with the villa. When they finally went up to the loft, Larry wanted to show them a surprise he hadn't yet shown them.
"There is a false door, but it can be opened." He said, knocking on an unremarkable-looking wall. The wall opened sliding, and a wide tunnel appeared in front of them. The external load-bearing structure of the tunnel was made of transparent glass, while the internal was a wide road made of a special material that generated electricity when the wheels pressed on it. "It's a good energy supply," Larry joked.

"What's in the middle?" Natalie said, pointing to what looked like a barrier in the middle of the road.
"That's the barrier." Explained the lamp, "It's actually a two-way ring track. When you're hurtling in either direction, Natalie, in case something goes wrong, this wall absorbs energy and keeps you safe. So that you and your master's life will not be in danger."
"Oh. What about that one up there?"
"It's for Photon -- underwater take-off tunnel. Although it takes him only three or four hundred meters to pull up, the tunnel is three kilometers long. It's long, considering that you'll probably make big planes. Oh, and there's one last place I haven't taken you to. Come with me."
The party walked along the ramp to the track. Natalie began to run, and Photon did not give any impression of weakness. Three minutes later, they entered the ramp through an exit and stopped in front of a huge field of machinery.
Larry explained, "This is your power source: the seawater thermometer generator set. They can generate electricity at almost any time and send it down a superconducting electric wire to the villa. Near the surface of the sea, there are large amounts of blue-green algae from which you can make fuel for your plane and car. Well, you should all be familiar with the new base by now. Get used to it as soon as possible."
"Good. I'm sure it won't take too long, maybe two or three days." Said William confidently, patting his chest.
They went back to the villa. William lay in the grand king-size bed in the master bedroom on the second floor and soaked up the feeling.
Suddenly a strange thing happened: the drawer opened automatically, and a small package inside flew out and fell on his face. He picked it up and it opened itself, revealing a rectangular object inside. It was dark black on both sides, but there was a fluorescent band around the edge, giving off a clear blue light in the dark. It also had a pattern of what appeared to be an atom, which was also able to emit light. There was a port on one side, as if it should be plugged somewhere for use. And on the other side was a writing he had never seen before! This left William puzzled.
There was also an instruction manual. "I'll look into it," He said to himself, as he opened the manual and read the words.
Dear users,
This antimatter energy core can store negative energy, which will be a great help when you go through a wormhole. Otherwise, you won't be able to resist the strong gravity of a black hole. Therefore, please ensure that your every operation is in accordance with the requirements and specifications, otherwise once the product is lost, fails or causes casualties, we will not be responsible.

"Not be responsible? Does this still have an owner?" He grew more and more confused and continued to look.
When using, it should be started first and you wait for one minute. After the product is preheated, it can be used. The fluorescent band of this product can indicate the remaining energy. When the energy is less than 20%, it shows red; when between 20% and 60%, it shows yellow; when between 60% and 100%, it shows blue. Please check the color of the fluorescent tape carefully during the preheating time, and charge it properly if necessary. When charging, please do it in a dark matter concentration area for best results. In addition, electricity can also be used as a source for charging.
Good luck!
Anonymous
"Anonymous again? And the handwriting looks so similar?" He said to himself, when Photon came upstairs. Seeing William there, he asked him what he had in his hand. William told him exactly what had just happened.
"Wow, that's good stuff!" Photon exclaimed excitedly.
"But you know how hard it is to form a wormhole! And I think there has to be enough negative energy every time, or we'll be torn apart by gravity!"
"That makes sense, but you haven't heard about dark matter hurricanes and black holes." Said the plane mysteriously.
"Dark matter hurricanes? Black holes? What's going on?"
"According to the satellites and telescopes that Larry sent up -- they are just 10,000 kilometers above the planet -- in about a week there will be an unprecedented dark matter hurricane passing through. A large part of it will be captured by star A, the rest by B, C and planet D. So I think it will be a great opportunity to collect dark matter.
"As for black holes, the telescope also found a massive black hole about 15 light years away from this galaxy. With this energy core, we don't have to worry about being torn apart."
"Really? This cool?" William smiled a little, thought a little, and said to Photon, "Is that true? I don't usually question Larry's reliability."
"It's a combination of the results from the satellite and the telescope." Photon replied positively.
"Well, then the plan could well be put into practice --"
"What plan?" Photon interrupted him.
"I mean, since the dark matter hurricane is a week away, we can get used to life here first. And that clone man is about to enter the mature stage. I guess she will be able to move by then. So the ship has to be properly charged up, and after a week it's going to have to make an extraordinary flight."
"Got it!" The plane saluted.
"Besides, please tell Larry to take care of the clone for me. If the time is up, let him ask me to program."
"Roger that!"
"Go," William said. So Photon went downstairs. He lay alone in bed quietly. It was already dark, but they did not notice it. Planet D has a longer rotation than Earth, but since they had been looking around in the villa, they had not bothered to look at the time. Now, William had just seen that it was already 27 o'clock.
"Yawn." A wave of drowsiness swept over him. He went downstairs to say goodnight to the plane and the racing car, didn't take off his clothes, pulled the quilts over, and was asleep within ten minutes.
At this moment, only the air conditioning was making noise. Careful Larry turned on silent mode. It looked like the night was going to pass off smoothly.
However, it seemed that the truth wanted to play a joke sometimes.
Suddenly a very weak voice said, "This is your first and last space travel... Don't even think about coming back..."
"Who... Who's that?" William sat up and stared in horror at the ghastly darkness around him. However, everything was still the same as before.
"I must be having a bad dream... It'll be all right, William, go to sleep..." He fell asleep again.
But this innocent boy did not know that he was not hearing voices. It was a real voice, very much like his own, but somewhat ethereal, as if it came from another universe far away. He did not know how many times they two would encounter each other spiritually during the rest of the journey. Whether he would return to his home on Earth, or here, was still unknown. Now, in front of him were low mountains, reflecting the silvery gray light of the moon. Beside him was a road that ran as far as the eye could see, and the salty smell of the distant sea in the air.

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note!
