《Why Just Not, Like, Kill All the Zombies?》Prologue

I don't need to explain what is a zombie, right?
The slow type, the parasite type. Yeah, they took over my small 70.000 citizens town, and a considerable part of the world.
And, unless someone is a zombie itself, you must be asking itself: “but, how is it possible that the slow type of zombie, and a plague that spreads itself so inefficiently, could cause this disaster?”
Well it kinda didn't it. At least, not alone.
In the middle of the 21st century, large extensions of the permafrost thawed due to global warming, and unknown disease asleep awoken once again. Globalization happened, and, like always, the leader scientists in the field, like Karine, were ignored with exception of those who were financially supported by large corporations, politicians were incompetent and corrupted and citizens all around the world joined forces to the biggest demonstrations of anti-intelligence all around the world.
In some places, laws gotten strict bit by bit and, before people new, they lived in a dictatorships that take advantage of the literal apocalypse; while in others, civilians and authorities exhibited all of their testosterone and just ignored everything happening around them and didn’t do anything; and in even other places, things gotten mixed, there were laws, but half of the population ignored it, and the half that didn’t literally starved and lost their homes for landlords that just didn't changed their schedule for charges, governments that didn't helped a bit, and shops whose sent their goods prices to the skies.
In any case, the parasite had it easy, we did it this way for it.
While the creatures roamed, following their instincts, and deposited their eggs all around, many times infecting our supplies of water and food, the people on TV were praising the best countries in the world, that have zero problems and dealt with the zombie apocalypse with impressiveness (by literally nuking zombie, civilian and public servants indiscriminately); when our mall became a zombie nest and entire neighborhoods around the ports and airports were being decimated, people were, contradictory, diminishing the gravity of the zombie parasite while, at the same time creating conspiracy theories to blame whoever they disliked for it.

And then, while my father was driving me and my twin sister, insanely fast, to our home, scenes of brutality and gore showing up and vanishing in flashes thru the car’s windows, the radio station was hosting a program where religious leaders argued for the gathering of their congregations, old women and men for reopening of hairdresser and pubs, with a doctor who was still trying to convince them that wash food after buying it wasn’t useless, that the parasites deposited their eggs on it very commonly, the others ignoring him and telling him to research.
When my father stopped the car at our home, we ended up being too slow, and the zombies swarmed all over us.
My father was paraplegic. My father couldn’t run.

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?
