《Phantom Transgression》Chapter 21

Norton said by grinding his teeth, "Now tell me this is also unusual scandal, conspiracy, bla…bla… bla..."
"My fault, sir."
"Do you see me a person to be dragged in this mess? I had nothing to do with Haq and don’t have either."
"You are not involved in this Mr. Norton, but you are appearing to be." spoke Mr. Morris after finishing his glass. "Maybe Haq had taken you to here." (Man who was in Haq's support.)
"Mr. Morris, now you can see that?"
He ignored Hadfield. He always wanted to do so. He spoke, "I hear you didn’t go to conference in Navy yesterday."
"How can I go there carrying non existing doubts? It would be better in CIA enquires me and apologizes for it to me."
"Well, Mr. Fernsby won't be doing so. You are close to him." Mr. Hadfield said by standing near to the fireplace, "And they are talking about you a lot. Enquiry can also create problems in there."
"What goddamn problems? I have nothing to do with this murder. I don’t care who died how and who killed him."
"Then for those days, why didn’t you speak against all the accusations?"
"There's a problem." said Mr. Morris in the middle.
Norton said, "You said to Lorgé that I could help him in getting the papers lost by Haq. He came near to my house and Wham! It's an attack. If he had died right there, then guess what?"
"I am sorry for this." apologized Mr. Hadfield.
"You know what? This incident has made me suffer a lot. Last year I went to London's Scotland Yard, and they promised I would be a representative as a chairman in there during the next election. Do anyone among you what's the first requirement there?"

Mr. Hadfield stood quiet.
"No illegal acts during last post."
For a while silence followed them, but Norton broke the silence, "I had no contact to Lorgé at all. Leaking out embassy documents is a crime."
"But Mr. Norton, we are not sure that embassy papers are lost. As per me, I think those papers being confidential ones is an exaggeration. Lorgé had a case on Haq. I presume he demanded those papers with me." said Mr. Morris like he had one and only habit of interrupting other's conversation.
"I wish I were Lorgé. At least I could hide like a petrified mouse in DSA Headquarters."
"Don’t worry, Mr. Norton." Hadfield said, wondering what else can say to make him feel safer.
"Give me reason I shouldn’t be worrying. I know if I speak anything then either I will have to stay away from last year's contact or…"
"Or…" added Mr. Hadfield looking at Mr. Morris, who looked to be enjoying the argument.
"Or I will be caught for involvement in the murder and I won't have anything in my favor to prove it as a fake charge."
"You are worrying for no serious issue. Nothing has turned out to be worse till yet. There's just a bit of misunderstanding. Situation won't go to there."
Norton again mumbled, "I wish I hadn't gone to canceled conference in White House."
"Why so?' asked Mr. Morris, who was drunk now. He took a long breathe and said, "Just leave it right now. It would be better if no one knows."
"Who knows?"
"God knows." added Mr. Morris.
"Camshron knows…"
Camshron leaned his chin on his fist as usual and was trying to concentrate on the case. He heard Mr. Cook saying, "Dr. Jones- a dermatologist who settled in USA during 1994. Well, he was a Brazilian from Rio de Janero."

"So he worked in Langley as well?"
"Better to say a part timer. Doctors don’t prefer to work in just a single hospital."
"Just talked Lorgé. He knew this doctor since he had suffered from Bio Fungalis in 2001. But I don’t think he has anything to do with this murder as he had got connected to Mike."
"Yes, why would a man in his mid sixties make any foes?"
"No, Mr. Cook, foes aren’t always the cause of murder. Sometimes indirect involvement also acts…"
"I know nothing, Nathan. I don’t even want to. We are having internal argument recently."
"With whom?"
"Mr. John and Mr. Vinci about Norton. Till now nothing great seems to appear against him. Soon everything is going to calm down."
"I don’t know why they always avoid me? Are my decisions and deductions worth nothing?"
"They trust you. They just are going through rough phase. Change your thinking detective…"
"No respect for my thoughts?"
"Calm down, Camshron."
Now Camshron increased his volume "Am I handled this case just for fun?"
"SHUT UP! AND HOLD THIS." bellowed Mr. Cook slamming the month's schedule of Dr. Jones on his desk, "Remember Camshron I am your senior. So show some respect to me-us. Investigate or quit!"
He pulled the paper in a rage.
Some parts of the paper also got torn.
With dead silence, he got out of the room.
He had never been dominated by him like that. Nowadays even Mr. Cook was in the mood of dominating him, plus argument between the seniors.
Camshron jumped in his chair and stared at the paper. It was the list of various dates with hospital names. Camshron couldn’t believe- Jones had an appointment in forty seven hospitals in a month.
He circled South Dakota Hospital. Where he checked dates, then found he was going there once or twice since July. His first presence there was 4th July, and the last was yesterday.
The confusing thing was that he was attending in many hospitals in Maryland and Langley. The only hospital he used to go there was in Watertown. The most doubtful thing was that he was murdered in South Dakota, but what was he doing at Hot Springs? It is quiet far from Watertown. It was impossible that he also had to go to Hot Spring's hospital as well.
"You think the same killer is behind all this?" asked himself. He got up by thinking Mike could help him on this. Mike was also attacked in the same place, and perhaps for the same reason.
He needed to find out this and defend Mike otherwise he was going to be declared as culprit and hanged till death whereas killer might walk free.

Shadow Falls
If you wanted to protect someone you loved, how far would you go, and what would you be willing to sacrifice? This question is at the core of this emotional rollercoaster of the book, Shadow Falls: the Rise and Fall of Erida VanIsle. This book emerged from four years of collaborative storytelling centering on the main character, Erida VanIsle, written by author Myra VanIsle. In this book, VanIsle goes beyond the events that led to Erida's sacrifice and explores forty-five years of the cost she paid to protect the sister she loved more than life itself. Shadow Falls explores the family tragedy which led to the separation of two sisters on completely different paths polar opposite of each other. While Erida set upon a path of darkness and power, Myra set out to be a beacon of light and hope bringing justice and peace to others. Be warned, the story VanIsle tells is dark and not easy, because you can't have the light without the dark.
