《Transmigrated to become Hero's Aid》Chapter-10: Harada Ryosuke

Ryosuke was now looking at the white large building which definitely looked like an expensive showy palace in front of him. That building was located in the middle of the courtyard, and the man who introduced himself as Cassius Evandall, notified him that it was the main palace. The structure of the said palace was said to be rather complex but at the same time maintained a grand and magnificent image, indicating that the architects made a great effort in designing this.
He still couldn't believe what he was seeing. Although it had already been 2 days since he had arrived in this world, he still couldn't get used to it. Everything still made him feel shocking and stunning. How did he get drawn into this mess? He couldn't help but to reflect on it many times.
Two days ago, he was still a normal teenager of 14 years old, attending school as usual, maintaining his enjoyable lifestyle. He was popular with his looks; everyone said that his deep black hair and sharp black eyes looked attractive and he had a good build for a boy of his age. School tests were never a problem to him and he was also good at sports, especially badminton. His life was also filled with love and warmth from his family and his close friends.
But then, he just suddenly got teleported to a city where people looked so foreign and their clothing was similar to what people would wear in ancient England. He couldn't think what had happened to him and even before he could gather his thoughts, he heard the screams of people telling him to run because of a Dark Wave. Surprisingly, even though people were not speaking in Japanese, he could understand their words.
At first, he was stunned because of the commotion. But he was drawn back to reality when he saw something that was not human. Were they muscular goblins? A group of monsters with a creepy long nose and ears, killing people mercilessly with their spears. But there was also a group of people in armor who looked like knights in some fantasy novels, fighting against those monsters and defending against them.
He decided to run away, too. He didn't know where to run but at least he knew he should find a place where there were no monsters. He even tripped once making him to be covered in dust and dirt. He also did his best not to be spotted by various types of monsters which he couldn't identify until he decided to hide in a place.
He bursted the door open, immediately realizing that there was a tip of a longsword, aiming for his throat. The closeness of the sword made him almost think that he was going to die. He was so frightened that he felt his heart pumping so loudly. Gladly, the owner of the sword didn't mean to kill him. If he looked at it calmly, there was also a cute young boy beside him.

He entered the house, and went to where the duo was hiding, deciding to ask some information from them. Unfortunately, he got to realize that he was in a completely new place which was not his own country. Much worse, it was not even the earth. He thought that he was doomed.
Was it a lizardman? Ryosuke wanted to cry when he saw a lizard-like monster entering their hideout. The incidents happening were so quick that he didn't know what he was doing at that time. The next time he came to his senses, he was already running away with the white-haired boy and only to be slashed by a minotaur. He instantly thought he was dead. But the next moment when he opened his eyes, he couldn't feel the pain anymore but the boy beside him looked like he was suffering from something. Did he heal him?
But that young boy collapsed suddenly. He didn't know what to do next. Luckily, the older boy from before took him away and asked Ryosuke what had happened, to which he explained everything he could remember. That older boy immediately picked up the child and ran off so Ryosuke did follow them. He didn't know what to do or where to go after all.
Next, after some examinations with that young boy, they were moving to somewhere else. He got to know that the two boys he met were brothers and they also had a sister. Their father who introduced himself as Cassius made him follow them which Ryosuke agreed gladly.
He was shocked by the way they travelled. They were standing on a circle that looked like a magic cycle in some movies. He could hear some people chatting and then 'whoop' he was in another destination. He got to stay in a quite huge and marvelous mansion which was that family's home.
The first day was ok although he did get some glares from the older brother named Edwin. But the other sister Maria was hospitable enough. He was well-treated, given extra clothing for him to change, although the clothing was old-fashioned and even got his own room which was really wide and splendid for his stay. He was sad that he wasn't able to visit the young boy, Lucas, though.
And the next day, he had to follow Cassius who said that they had to go to the palace. The carriage-ride was a new experience and it was unexpectedly comfortable for him. Now he was standing in front of the white lavish building, after going through gates and being checked many times by what they called palace guards.
After walking through the way connected to the hall, he thought it was definitely a throne room because of its look. There were not that many people in the hall, maybe; but the strange clothing style they were wearing made him think if he was in a fantasy-historical type novel.

"Cassius, is he the one?"
The man who looked like he was in his 50 years of age, wearing some luxurious clothing, asked Cassius who gave respect to him with a bow of 45 degree. Ryosuke, of course, imitated him as he didn't really know the traditions of this world.
"He was the most possible one, your majesty. Let him be examined by the high priest."
"Rajia, you heard him. Go and check that boy."
With the king's order, a slender, fair and soft looking man with a long brown braid came in front of Ryosuke and held his hand, saying "Excuse me for a moment". Ryosuke might mistake him as a woman if he didn't hear his voice.
As soon as the priest held his hand, Ryosuke felt that there was some kind of energy going through all over his body. He couldn't describe that feeling well but he was sure it was not unpleasant. After a few moments, the priest let go of his hand and stepped away from him.
"He was indeed the one, your majesty. The one from the prophecy I have had from Lucian. I could feel that his mana is made to be able to use most of the types of magic and it is too strong, too" The priest notified the king. He could hear other people whispering to each other.
"What do you mean by this, .... Ummm….. Sir. Priest?" Ryosuke gathered his courage to speak up. He really did want to know what he meant and why he was here in the first place. He couldn't care if he was rude or not.
"A few days ago, I got a message from our god, Lucian. He said that someone of unimaginable power and affiliated with all mana types will be joining this world, and he will be able to defeat the demon lord. We were unsure about where we could find the said one and while we were discussing it, we got the news that Evandall was raided by monsters. We had a feeling that this sudden attack had something to do with the prophecy and as we had expected Duke Cassius found you there and brought you here." The priest explained.
"According to my experience, your mana type is something that can help you to use all types of magic in this world. And by looking at its aura, it is very strong, too. We believed that god Lucian was referring to you when he delivered his message to me."
"So you meant that... I was transported to this world and it was to defeat the demon lord? Like the stories of heroes and such...…. ?" Ryosuke felt like he suddenly became a protagonist of a story.
He did not want this, though. He wanted to return to his old life where everything was peaceful and normal. He didn't want to engage in the battles and he also didn't want some titles like hero. It was too bothersome.
"Can I not do that? Is there some way for me to return? To where I came from!?" Ryosuke snapped, not realizing that he was raising his voice.
"Child, you looked like you must be not more than 15 years of age. You may be frustrated but everyone has their own destiny. And you have one, too. You can't go against the will of a god. You have to accept it." The king said in a gentle manner. He seemed to understand the reaction of Ryosuke.
"But I don't want to! Fighting against those monsters and much worse, the demon lord? I don't even know whether I will die or not. Can you not send me home? Can you not ask the god to do that?" Ryosuke felt enraged and miserable. He did not want something like this.
The hall was silent. They might also be thinking that it was troublesome to someone like him as their hope and such. After a few moments of being stunned, the king replied.
"Let's stop here for today. We can discuss this later. If lucky, god Lucian might leave you some answers for you in the future."
Ryosuke was not satisfied. But what more could he do? Now he had to accept his situation a bit.
"Rajia, I will leave it to the church to take care of him. Child, you will be living in the church. They will give you necessary knowledge and help you adapt to this world."
"Yes, your majesty." Rajia, the high priest replied with a slight bow.
"Ummmm,..... Your majesty, can I make a request?"
Ryosuke also did want to make a request. At least they should let him be able to negotiate where he would live, right?
