《Aura Lord》Chapter 4: The trial

“Lynn Adler, The first son of the Adler family, a second-year student of The Aura Academy, one week prior, around 2 p.m to 5:40 p.m, you had violated Rosana Ra Arrenmelle, the second princess of the Arrenmelle Kingdom inside The Grand Library of the academy, Is it true?”
Currently, I was inside the principal’s office. Last night I kept asking ‘Big sis/teacher’ with an oddly childish voice, not matching her knowledge.
She would answer anything I asked, so I kept asking her about various things until I fell asleep. And when I woke up, I was abruptly dragged here without being told anything.
I didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye to her.
“...” I inspected the woman in front of me.
I was kneeling with my hands tied behind my back. There were quite a number of people presented here.
Sitting in front of me was a beautiful woman dressed like a typical witch, with some documents in her hand. She was full of mature charm with a serious yet seductive demeanor. She was one of the top aura users in Avidyte City and the current principal of The Aura Academy.
This office was being used as a court with the principal herself, acting as the judge for the current situation.
“What are you being so quiet for!? Can’t you hear the principal’s question!?” Vulnar screamed furiously at me.
Standing at the side was Vulnar Ra Arrenmelle, the crown prince of the Arrenmelle Kingdom. The man who gave me quite a ‘warm’ welcome after I had just arrived at this world.
Arrenmelle was the name of the Elven Kingdom.
There were also a few other elves standing behind him, but Rosana, the victim herself, was nowhere to be found.
“Don’t even bother lying! We have both evidence and witnesses, ready to testify if needed.” Vulnar added.
I glanced at the back. Standing there were Coll and a few girls who were also there during my arrest.

“Yes or no, say it!” (Vulnar)
‘Should I bring up the aphrodisiac?’ No, Lynn took it on his own, and if someone were to bring up the fact about Lynn drugging princess Rosana- this would only get worst. I shot down my idea instantly.
‘Should I just tell them I’m not Lynn’ Nope, that sounded like the worst idea. They would just not believe me and thought of it as my petty excuse. again I shot down my own idea.
‘Even worse, they believe me and mistake me as some kind of devil that takes over people’s bodies. I might even get killed on the spot.’ Revealing my identity didn’t sound like a good idea either.
“... ugh-“ Rape was a serious crime. Sentences for rape could range from one year to even a life sentence, but you wouldn’t get a death sentence.
Lying was definitely a bad idea. All the odds were against me.
“y-yes...” With no other choice, I reluctantly admitted. I didn’t mind being locked up for a while. At least it wouldn’t get boring in there. I enjoyed the time with Big sis/teacher.
As long as it wasn’t certain death, I could always try to escape the prison later.
chatter chatter-
The room became noisy.
tab tab tab-
“Silence!” The principal tabbed her desk, silencing the crowd.
“...I see, since you’ve confessed to your crime, Let us discuss your punishment.” said the principal, as she put down the documents.
“I propose an execution.” Waiting no further, Vulnar gave his proposal. The surrounding elves nodded.
chatter chatter The room became noisy again.
‘w-wait... execution? That’s not what I was taught in school!’ I got cold feet.
‘This is bad! I would never admit it if I knew it would be an execution!’ caught by complete surprise. I had completely forgotten that this was another world. Rules and laws on earth didn’t apply here.

“...” The principal remained silent.
“I proposed an execution, not because of my personal hatred for him but for the betterment of The Aura Academy as a whole.” Seeing the principal’s silence, Vulnar added.
I called that bullshit! It was definitely because of your personal hatred!
“The betterment of the academy, you say? Can you elaborate further?” Vulnar’s statement caught the principal’s interest.
“This is not the first time Lynn Adler has committed a crime. Even before this, he used his family’s authority to break many rules of the academy, build a gang, and go on to bully other students. He was also caught sneaking into the female dorm at night on many occasions. Of course, there are more to his crimes but it would take too long for me to state all of them.” Vulnar gave a whole essay of reasons on why I needed to be executed.
“That is why we need to set an example so no other students would follow his path and step all over and smear the academy’s image even further!” He added.
“I see... Well then- lord Adler, do you have anything to say?” The principal turned to the other side and asked the man sitting on the couch.
“No, what prince Vulnar said certainly makes sense. I’m ashamed to say, but it was the parents’ fault to not have raised their child properly.” Answered, the man sitting on the couch, opposite side of Vulnar’s group.
It was a man in his 50s with blue slicked-back hair. Standing beside him was a girl with the same blue hair as him. She was slightly younger than me.
This man was my father, and the girl was my younger sister.
I knew from what ‘Big sis/teacher’ told me last night, this city was called Avidyte City. while being a city, it was not under the control of any countries or empires. It was pretty much an independent state, a small country in its own right.
Avidyte City was ruled by the Aura Lord. The Aura Lord was the most powerful Aura User in the world. Under the Aura Lord were the three great families. The Adler family was one of those three families.
The Adler family was a powerful family of Aura Users who mainly use water aura type. Lynn was the firstborn of the family, but he was born with basic aura type instead of water type.
“He shall take responsibility for his actions.” Lord Adler, the head of the Adler family, my father coldly stated his opinion.
‘Am I really going to die again!?’ I died once and was given a second chance. But would there be a third chance?
The idea of dying again scared me to no end. Panic, I fell forward. With my hands tied, I had a hard time getting up so I just crawl toward my ‘father’ asking him for help.
“P-please, Father! I’m sorry I was a terrible son. I’m willing to take any punishments! anything but death! I don’t want to die! Help me, father-“ I pathetically crawled toward him while begging for help.
I was never a prideful person. I was willing to do anything to live. And this man was my only bet.
He just closed his eyes, not looking at me no matter how much I begged him.
“Disgusting” the little sister said as she stared down at me like I was the most disgusting thing to ever exist.
Vulnar chuckled as continued to enjoy the scene in front of him.
chatter chatter
tab tab tab- The principal tabbed her desk once again silencing the crowd.
“...That decided-“ The principal sighed deeply.
But just as she was about to make her final statement-
“Can I have a word?” An unknown voice interrupted.
