Cause for report: A breach was detected at site-58

Summary: After a thorough investigation of site-58, definite proof was found of a breach in security. It appears that the breach was human in nature and interviews are currently being prepared with all staff on-site at the time of the breach. Security systems were also disabled through magical means. Heavy mana use was found throughout the building and seems to indicate the path the intruder took. After entering the building and asking to speak to a manager due to an issue in billing the intruder appeared to take a seat. In reality, an illusion spell caused the receptionist and cameras to mistake it for the real deal.

The intruder then waited for the door into the offices to open and snuck in. The path takes leads to the server room and data centre. While IT did not detect a breach of security, activity logs showed that several files were opened. The requested files further down the report are outside my current security rating and summaries or ideally the files themselves are requested. The intruder then did not hesitate and walked back to a window and destroyed it. The trail ends here, and it would appear that the intruder escaped through the opening.

Interview Summary: Employee was not trained in mana detection and monitoring equipment is outdated. It appears that budget for this was taken from the accounts and never used for the purposes of actually upgrading the system. Fraud was found and employee responsible was eliminated. Requesting mana training for receptionist personnel and additional funding for security systems. Receptionist was found to not be at fault.

Further steps: I advise that this intruder has just begun their investigations. The nature and execution of the breach speak to larger preparations and files stolen speak to a longer nature. I believe that checks of all site security are recommended. The heavy mana use of the intruder speaks to a high level or heavy spell focus. Steps should be taken to immediately secure our sites against mana heavy intruders. I would expect a few more breaches in short order or a longer period of dormancy. The little evidence discovered cannot be traced to a single person, but this person is most definitely connected to the company in some fashion. An internal investigation is also recommended due to little searching the intruder had to perform. They clearly knew the lay-out.
