THE FARMHOUSE stood near a barn with barren crop-less land around it, Marlin drove towards the rustic vicinity. He stopped the Camry halfway and shook Joana's shoulder gently.

"Joana...Joana, is this the place?" Her half-open eyes saw the bucolic house, and she nodded weakly before falling back asleep again.

Inside the house, two sister-boys in their mid-twenties peeked out behind a curtained window with weapons in their hands. The one named Lee saw the old hybrid car and knew it was not the law authorities out there. The other, Cynthia instructed her to stay with Mrs Scott; she wanted to go out to investigate—but Lee stopped her when she noticed the driver stepping out of the vehicle...

"It is a he-she—what does he want?"

"My guess, he is probably lost and wants directions," replied Cynthia before they both saw Marlin slinging his rifle onto his shoulders. Lee exclaimed...

"Oh fuck, he is armed...get ready to blow the bastard away."

They spied on Marlin stepping towards the passenger's side of the car and bearing Joana out in his arms—they recognize the Sisterhood uniform...

"That is one of ours!"

"Jesus on a stick! That is Commander Gailman!" Cynthia exclaimed and both the females rushed out of the main door and pointed their firearms at the approaching Marlin who was cradling the wounded girl to the porch...

"That is far enough, she-freak!"

"Joana is shot—where is her grandmother?"
