"If everything is made of Elemental Spirits and if every living being is an Elemental why are there differences? Why aren't every creation that Life made all the same? Life actually made a knock off version of Fate's only two creations: Life and the Faery Queen.

The two of them have only two things in common: they were created by Fate and they have a Soul.

A Soul that make them different than anything else. So Life made her version of a Soul and its called Essence."

-Bee May, the faery of knowledge

"What in Essence is a Soul."

Little Wolf eagerly agreed to help her so they started planning their escape.

"So... How do we get out? We leave through the river?"

Asked Annabelle.

"Nah, it's an obvious weakness in the defences of the village. Both sides have at least two hunters all the time, one on the ground and the other one up on the wall. No way we can get out by river."

Shrugged Little Wolf.

"Mmh, ok... Sooo, how do we leave? Do we leave through the doors?"

Asked Annabelle.

"Yeah... Nah, opening the door would allert the hunters or the scouts on the wall."

Said Little Wolf.

"I know you can go out of the village when you please. Don't be misterious, tell me. NOW!"

Said Annabelle tired of Little Wolf's mischief.

"It's really easy, we wait for the people over the wall to be distracted, we jump over the wall and into the forest, we have little time but I can do it if I let go and use my wild side."

Smiled Little Wolf.

"No way, there is no place to hide near the wall, we can't escape that way. And your father said you should not be seen in your other form, you shouldn't transform inside the village!"

Exclamed Annabelle worried.

"Ehhhh, no one caught me yet... And no one saw me leave or enter. It's quite easy too. I let go in the shadows of the hunters longhouse, when I feel that the breath of the people on the wall is going the other way and there is no one watching where I will jump... I run the two hundred meters that separate the longhouse to the wall, jump up to the wall and use the wall itself to propel my self forward the remaining five hundred meters then, I just need to catch a tree and disappear in the shade faster than the guardians of the wall can see me if they turn."

Explained Little Wolf with a cheeky smile, as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

"Are you serious?"

Asked the baffled Annabelle.

"Yeah." Little Wolf smiled, "I'm amazing, I know, praise me."

"You are just a short little child, even if you let go and transform, you might and I don't really trust you on this. You MIGHT be able to do what you just said but, can you bring me out with you too?"

Asked Annabelle suddently really sceptical.

"Yeah, it will be easy. Now we just wait for the darkness and you will see."

Said Little Wolf.

And so the two accomplices separated, spent the rest of the day like they would usually do, Annabelle joined her mother in their cubbyhole inside the caretakers longhouse and both fell asleep easily after another day of good hard work. Little Wolf slipped inside the caretakers longhouse without any problem and woke up clumsy Annabelle. Now with great care and with clumsy Annabelle's curse acting up, making her fall and Little Wolf had catch her so that she would not make any noise. The two got out of the caretakers longhouse and snuck behind the hunters longhouse.

Little Wolf was electrified, finally! After four long snows he could let go! He would go wild! And... Clumsy Annabelle did not see his wild form in at least six snows, she knew he would become better, his wild side helped him focus and control his senses, his strenght and speed. His wild side would make him overall better, but sometimes his instincts were too strong and he had to follow them aaand that was bad.

Both of them were wearing tanned hare leather jerkins and pants. While Annabelle wore long sleeves, boots and a cloak with a hood to protect herself form the cold of the night. Little Wolf could not feel cold or hot so, he kept his sleeveless jerkin open and he was barefooted, he would have more freedom of movement that way.

Little Wolf finally freed the predator that resided inside him and he started to change. He started to grow, from a ten years old skinny child that was a meter and forty centimeters tall.

When he grew around a meter and seventy centimeters tall, then his growth was almost completed. His legs and arms started to elongate. He was a little over a meter and eighty centimeters now.

His chest length hair that was combed into a braid, lengthened. His braid became loose. His scarlet hair multiplied and grew until he could cover his entire body, like a cloak, with his ankle length hair now.

As he grew his physique adjusted, his porcelain white skin stayed the same, with no blemish or imperfection.

His body was lean but now, it looked much better, sharper, less sickly thin and more the dry physique of a fighter, a warrior or... A predator.

His carmine lips, joined with his now sharper face, long hair and not overly shaped and muscolar body made him look almost like a girl or a really strange but pretty young man.

Annabelle stared at the transformation, as they were in the shadows of the hunters longhouse, her low light vision could not catch all the details. But, she did notice the evident height difference, she was about to ask the now not so Little Wolf explanation. He moved faster, Little Wolf took her in a princess carry, used a hand to secure her close to his body and the other one to seal her mouth then, he really moved Annabelle felt the air hit her and the world around her change. They moved so abruptly and so fast, she started to scream but no sound escaped from her sealed mouth. In the time her mind took to remember they were doing something they should not and, they should not be discovered doing it too, she stopped trying to make a fuss.

Little Wolf put her down, they were inside the forest. The moonlight shone on her, Little Wolf was still in the shadows but she could see the crimson red and gold light shine from them. Annabelle felt fear for a second, like she was getting stared down by a fiery beast, by a predator that would brutalize her body then eat her. Then she remembered it was her protector, her Little Wolf and she felt save, nothing in the forest could be scarier than him. What better guardian could she ask for?
