Our world is a complex one. The rules of Paradox, our reality, differ from those of yours.

And so Jade left you with a few important questions that she wants me to answer before I tell you this story.

I kinda forgot at first, but better now than never, yeah?

Firstly, The Cycle. The Cycle is a law by which many things are governed in Paradox. The Cycle runs through everything, but we'll start with its basis. The Cycle at its most basic refers to The Cycle of worlds. In our reality, the universe doesn't function like yours. It's restricted to a few galaxies at most, and sometimes it's just a single landscape like the previous Paradox. The Cycle itself is infinite. It has no beginning and no end.

The Cycle also refers to The Cycle of consciousness. In Paradox when one dies their consciousness leaves their mind and finds a new body some time in the future. This process, however, is instant, which is why resurrection magic is theoretically impossible. When someone dies they lose their memories of that life, to live and enjoy a new one.

Now what about us? The Exurrana and Yurriana?

For every Exurrana there is a Yurriana. Their relationship is usually a romantic one. No person is born a Yurriana, except in the case of True Exurrana, they become one through their relationship to an Exurrana. All Exurrana remember their past lives. Although we don't have perfect memories, we, at the very least, know of our past lives. However, obtaining this knowledge only happens when an Exurrana and a Yurriana share a kiss, on the condition that they truly love each other. The Exurrana are hard to explain right. At least in English. In vahrel they're classified as oyami. The closest thing to an oyami in English is a god-hero. But that's not quite right. Exurrana are merely people who meet certain qualities. Those qualities being that they're powerful, they're passionate, they're driven, and that they're kind. Besides learning of your past lives, being an Exurrana just means you fit these qualities. All Exurrana have a mark, a unique trait that's identifiable and shared by other Exurrana. With Exurrana that come from my family of Exurrana, it's the eyes. Usually one or both of my descendents’ eyes will have black irises. Or their eyes will glow with soft flames. In other Exurrana families their skin glitters, or their hair shines like metal. Although these traits only start manifesting as the Exurrana comes close to earning their mark.
