《Debts Come Due!》Day-9 Lets go home again.

"We are almost to my family's old home. It is just a little further and we will be there." Sasha says while thinking about the looks that will be on their faces when they see it.
Her family home while not being the biggest had one thing that few others did. It was private. Completely so in that it was spell to only be found by those that had been there before. It could not even be found by those that did not know where it was and you could be made to forget the location if you turned out to be untrustworthy.
It is off the beaten path and almost imposible to take by siege based off its location alone. There is farm land for food and a root celler that can hold ten years of food in stasis. My mother srounded it with spirits and undead submerged in the nearby swamp and made deals with local hag covens. My father tasked minor demons and devils to defend it and place power around it for rewards or trinkets. You would have an simpler time taking a Dragonlords city and his vault then breaking through the defenses of this place. It was their only santuary from the world and it shows it.
At this point we have had to tie ourselves together just to keep walking in a straight line and I am the only one that realizes it, it is actually quite funny to watch. I think I might erase their memory of how to get here just to watch this happen all over again.
OK now for the hard part, how do I convince five combat experts to give me their blood without them freaking out and attacking everything that moves in this situation. They can think both perfictly well and not at all, at the same time, so reason is right out the window. Can't just take it no matter how easy that would make things because they would all kill me and each other. I do not even want to think about what the winner of that would look like.
Note to self, get memory and mind shilding charms asap. Also add in restance of some kind to mental and illusion magics.
So much to do and so little money to do it with, well that is what we are here for now isn't it. To make all the money that we will need to start things off right. Gain power, allies, influence, conections. Fund public works and get that Dragonlords city to be a good investment for us. High end adventures gear is very expensive and even the base potions at that level can bankrupt you if you mess up a single request badly enough.

It's kind of funny how adventures can get traped in that loop of needing money to make money so they need more money and so forth. I say let your money pay for itself if you can manage it and if not just take it from those that have to much and need to little. Thousand year old lichs burning down the country side tend to not need their vast hords of treasure.
Why was it so hard to get that damn blood. Why does it need to be fresh out of the wound, who makes such a spicific rule for that.
I do get why it is that way but still, at least now we can actully talk about what we want each other to know. We can plan the future without being over heard and eveythng.
"Lets start with Tess, what do you want and what do you get out of this arrangment." Tea asked while I sat back and made breakfeast.
"I want dangerious animals, the kinds that can kill entire citys before being brought down. I am talking the big game, the kinds that are worth a mountian of gold to the right buyers. I want dangerious beasties for my very own, that is all." The druid said while stroking one of his pups.
"We want money, enough to do what we please and start our own thieves guild. We want to rob a Dragonlord and be among the few that has ever pulled off the feat. To rob a Dragon blind and take their entire hord. It is one of hte few ways to kill or weaken a Dragon who will live so long as they have treasure stashed away somewhere." Drassisa stated for her brother and herself.
"I want to build weapons of mass destruction. That is my dream, to build weapons so great that entire nations come together just to ban them and there use." Smithy said with a straight face that spoke volumes about himself.
"Well I want to be a vampire, feared mistress of the night. That is going to be the base of the modifications that I plan to make to myself. I wish to be a master of magic, an Archmage! A Necromancer of great power that all the world will look to for my skill. I wish to creat my own tower filled with ten thousand books of great magic power." Teamasa stated to the group.

"I guess its my turn then. I want to do as I please and question everything in the wide world. That is not something that is encouraged in the church and they would kill me for making a warlock pact. In there eyes I am one of them and will be long after I am gone. I will do as I please and help who ever I wish on the way. It is why I chose the Lady of Bargins to make my pact with. Other patrons give more power but few give you the option to do as you please for the rest of your life." Sasha stated while finishing up the stew she was making for everone to eat.
After the stew we all come together to decide what we are going to do first and see about what side jobs we can get going.
"I am thinking that the hydra is close by to the south so we can get it and hit a direwolf din that is in the area. We will have to do so just to clean it up enough for the ambush so might as well take them all out in order." Smithy said while looking at the map.
"We can clear this area and have an uninterupted view of it as it comes at us. Put some devices in the ground and make some kill coridors with murder holes we can attack through and we will have the damn thing." Tea added.
"I could add some grasping vines if we can get the hydra in a hole. Trap it inside and then we hit it form all sides, should be farily simple to make sense I have hunted big game the same way. Just a ramp leading down into a pit of spikes." Tess said contributing to the plan.
"Add something barbed into the pit and then heal it and it will never get out, we can use that to our advantage if used carfully enough." Drassisa stated.
"Then I will do the healing so that it will heal into twisted scars, might as well get the most damage out of it that we can. Try and aim for joints and avoid the necks whenever possible. Damn things are impossible to kill when you hit the neck." Sasha finished up for the group.
"We all set, then lets move out in a few hours after preparing what ever we need." Embrda said while sharpining his daggers.
"First we take out the dire wolves, then we hit the hydra. We will even have convient bait for it." After saying that the Dragonborn looked around at everyone and nodded.
Looking around and giving hand signals the group moved up with Smithys and Sashas potions of sleeping gass at the ready. They would throw them into the din and then go from there. It took us a while of hiding in trees for all the big wolves to come back to the din.
That's close enough so lets throw them NOW!
Four potions of sleep and two or paralysis are thown into the cave at the same time.
'That sound was of breaking glass so get ready.'
Two wolves stumble out of the cave and are imedantly hit from three sides at the same time. They both die quickly now into the cave. There they are coughing for breath and some are asleep alright. Damn this nest is bigger then we thought. There must be at least fifty of them in here. How were they getting enough food to feed them all.
"Was there any mass battles around here recently?" Sasha asked a question that was on her mind.
"One about a month ago if I am not mistaken. Do you think that this is a wondering pack that follows wars around or something like that." Asked Teamasa.
"I do!" Stated Sasha.
The group kill all of them and then gets ready to start preparing the area for the real fight yet to come.
