《Are you a Lucker? (Luck based LitRPG)》Chapter 8

Back at Clorevica tree house.
Clorevica was helping Mio to raise her level. Meanwhile, Yuu sat down sighing, there was no way he could take his word back. Looking at many empty bottles made from clay, cloth rag, his lighter and a lot of ale.
He began to pour the ale into the clay bottle, estimated up to the neck of the bottle then he tied the rag around the neck of the bottle, using the rope to secure the rag and make sure it didn't move about. For the first experiment, he lighted the rag and threw the Molotov with a lot of strength towards the clear ground.
The result was good enough, but it didn't manage to create a flaming sea of flames like the one he saw on yourtube. Though, Yuu still creating another 10 Molotov.
After he was done with his job, Yuu was laying on the ground, wondering whether or not his family and friends were doing alright.
.....
He couldn't sleep. Now that he was alone, many things started to strike his mind, In the end, he took his dagger and wandered around the forest. From what Clorevica told him, Treant was a territorial monster, it wouldn't move outside of its territory. While moving carefully, avoiding any strong looking monster.
As he crept inside of the jungle, farming 16 six-armed monkeys and 4 horned boars, his body now was far lighter than the usual, he could run at a full speed for twenty minutes before his breath became short. Not only that he experimented by kicking a tree and he was strong enough to peel the bark without feeling any pain.
Then when he was fighting another group of six-armed monkeys, although this time there were two big six-armed monkeys inside of that group, he resigned himself to a deep sigh. Three punches were enough to kill one big six-armed monkey, as for the other one using a small dagger Yuu managed to almost cut half of its head.

Though, after stretching his body. Yuu somehow felt slightly guilty, what will happen if I keep mindlessly killing those monster? wouldn't they go extinct? but isn't their number a little bit too much? no matter how fast they reproduce, in the last two days, I almost killed 100 of those monkeys. And that is only me, not to mention someone else like Clorevica and their natural predator.
But that was a question for another day.
Yuu couldn't believe his mind, but he was bored fighting against the same enemies moreover they already became too easy.
Looking at the bright brilliant sun, he began to reminisce about his daily life on earth. Usually, he and his friend would lazying around at the rooftop, sometimes like four times in a week, a senior or freshman gang would come and challenge his group. Though most of the time his gang would win.
.....
Now that he thought about it, his life on earth didn't have that much difference like the one he did right now. It was always about fighting, fighting and more fighting. Though, somehow Yuu was missing the moment right when he came back home and his parent would scold him after a big fight. His little brother that always asking whether or not he won the fight or his little sister that was in her rebellious phase, always looking at everyone with a disgust.
Strangely, he always thought about living his life to the fullest was always his dream. Went to stargazing in winter, fishing in summer, falling in love in spring or just straight lazying around in fall. But, in reality, he felt something was missing, it just didn't feel the same when he was in Epsilon, though he didn't know what was the reason.
And yes, this was Epsilon.
Yuu was only distracted for a split second before something manage to creep right at his legs, but that was enough for it to stop what Yuu was doing and threw him to the tree; dropping his dagger in the process. "Gah!" As result a large amount of green leaves falling towards his head.

Different from the monkeys and the horned boar, this time he felt a pain. His back was aching and he was coughing for a couple of times. He heard a hissing sound and saw a large snake with its thick, muscular body almost as big as Mio and dull green scales decorated with dirty brown stripes slithering to his way.
Though it was slow, like very slow, Yuu managed to search for his dagger and grabbed it yet, the constrictor snake wasn't able to catch him and not only that it also made a loud hissing sound as it turning his body and slithering toward Yuu. "Unbelievable, how can I not noticing something at this size." Yuu muttered.
As the snake somehow became alerted, it raised its body and showed its two fangs that had the size twice of Yuu's middle finger. As the constrictor snake pecked at Yuu, he non chalantly avoiding it while slashing a little bit of its head.
The slash wasn't deep, but it was enough to make it bleed. Once again it attacked Yuu this time using its tail to sweep him, but it was slow, too slow at least it was slow in Yuu eyes. Yuu slightly jumped avoiding its tail, though to his surprise, the corner of its tail bent in an impossible way and stroke Yuu right in his chest, this time the impact and the pain was greater than the previous one and threw in a few meters away.
Even though Yuu could run away, this time he began to concentrate, he took a slight peek on his Hit point and saw he only hat 17 Hit point left. Taking a deep sigh, he changed the dagger stance and placed his thumb on top of the spine of the dagger.
Once again, the snake was sweeping its tail, but Yuu was already expecting that. Rather than avoiding it, Yuu was charging forward, he got out of the tail area and sprinted all the way right to the snakehead. The Constrictor snake didn't stand like a fool, it moved its head toward him, albeit if Yuu could see it, something that slow wouldn't hit him.
At ease Yuu was dropping his body, completely avoiding the Constrictor snake's peck and countering by stabbing its neck, with the small help of his thumb, Yuu applied more pressure and repeatedly stabbing its body.
Once seeing the corpse of Constrictor snake, Yuu feeling contempt. Remembering Clorevica's words. He dutifully skinned the snake but failed miserably, it blood spurt all over of his clothes... or more like Clorevica clothes that he borrowed. In the end, Yuu was only cutting its fang and some meat from its body.
As the sun sky turned yellow and Yuu finally entering the tree house, he saw Mio clumsily trying to gut the fish and Clorevica sorting the herbs and mushrooms. "Oh.. welcome bac- Gya!! What happened? why are you covered in blood?!" Mio shouted when she saw Yuu, her hand moving around like she wanted to reach him.
"...Geez, chill out. It's not my blood, by the way Clorevica, do you know about this meat?"
"Oh? Constrictor snake? So? Are you looking for a praise?"
"Eh, nope, just wanna to know about its name." Yuu said as he removed his clothes and washed his body.

Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
