《Where is my head, Haro?!》Chapter 2 - Reborn

"Granted! Now we will proceed to the next step." Everything goes dark. The feeling of anxiety started to swallow me in as soon as I began to feel every part of my body, from the tip of my hands' fingers to my feet. I tried my limbs but it felt like it would be harder for me to move if I tried too often. I couldn't say a thing, just standing there floating in a dark place, the only visible thing is extremely small with dim light, first, they seemed to be lint, but looking more closely they looked like small golden flakes. I closed my eyes and crouched trying to make my anxiety disappear. Opening one eye I see a bright light that comes from above my head and was thinking... It's getting bigger? No, no, in fact, I'm getting closer to it. The anxiety has caught fire inside my body making me cry out of fear of the unknown. Everything goes bright white. I easily adjust to the light storm which, for a moment, did not allow me to open my eyes and I see myself carried by a man with a face covered by a surgical mask towards a young beautiful lady that sits on the bed. Her round shaped blue eyes become flooded with tears and she covers me with mother's tenderness that drives away my anxiety. "The kid is healthy and because there was no complication, you can leave tomorrow." "Thank you, doctor!" I'm reborn.. I can't believe my eyes. My mom is soo beautiful and young, her hair is long and since I didn't meet my first mother this makes me so happy. I'm looking forward to knowing you better, mother! She breastfeeds me, looking into my eyes. "The door is opening" Two figure enters. "How do you feel, Ann?" Ask with an old voice. Mom's figure seems a little surprised. "Rewis dear, who is this old woman and why are you here?" Is this man my father? He looks strong. " I came to see my son, why wouldn't I came?" He said. "Yes, I know but you supposed to be on guard right now... If the other guards find out..." "Don't worry, they gave me a few minutes' break. And this is Helha an old woman who knows many things about magic. For a few coins of silver, she will tell us if our son has talent in magic." The old woman approach. She wears a brown piece of cloth that covers all from her heat to the waist and underneath a long dark-yellow skirt with black thread patterns. She take my hand and sticks it to a black magic stone that she takes out from her pocket. The round deep-blue magic gemstone materializes fluctuations of magic around it like a ring of meteorites around a planet then the magic stone shine so bright that it started to break... The old woman is unable to see because of the immense light and falls on her back on the floor leaving the magic stone to fall in bed near us and cracks appear on the stone leaving to get out the brightness inside it, in the form of rays that could blind you permanently. "Alert! Imminent explosion detected." My dad jumps towards us trying to take the magic stone. "Searching for the best option. Success!" You have gained a new skill! 7th-level Tier Fast Teleport (Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard) Casting Time: 1 action Range: 10 feet Mana: 1 - 300 Duration: Instantaneous This spell instantly transports you and up to eight willing creatures of your choice that you can see within range, or a single object that you can see within range, to a destination you select. If you target an object, it must be able to fit entirely inside a 10-foot cube, and it can't be held or carried by an unwilling creature. The destination you choose must be known to you, and it must be on the same plane of existence as you. Your familiarity with the destination determines whether you arrive there successfully. On Target. You and your group (or the target object) appear where you want to. Off Target. You and your group (or the target object) appear a random distance away from the destination in a random direction. The distance is unpredictable. Similar Area. You and your group (or the target object) wind up in a different area that's visually or thematically similar to the target area. With the help of my skill that I've been born with Geniue that let me learn anything very fast, it took just 2 seconds to understand how the "Fast Teleport" works. I look at the magic stone to activate the skill, my heart sends a shock and from the tips of my little fingers, lightning flashes appear creating a magic circle large as the size of my father's palm that rotates like a clockwork, with many inscriptions and drawings on it. A gate with the size of the stone appears and its borders are fluctuating like the seawater. No one could see clearly because of the light and immediately after I cast the spell, the gate moves towards the magic stone sucking it in and then disappearing without a trace. "Ann, are you hurt? How is the kid?" both of my parents looking at my body to see if is everything ok. How I hear me speaking: "System, where did that stone go?" How my parents hear me speaking: "Hmmm baaaalla buuu ga ka... hyyyaaauu" Both of them opened their big supprised eyes and with a few tears wandering on their cheeks to the chin, they hugged each other with me being in the middle. "Our boy wants to say something, my dear." said father "He just born and yet, he can't wait to grow. He is our light. We shall name him Masuda Shig (= shining) , (Whyte) is family name." The title "Little Survivor" was obtained. The old woman knelt on the wooden floor asking for forgiveness. "Please, Mr. Whyte! Please forgive me! I didn't know that this would happen. I checked hundreds of kids but this never happened." and Helhas tears watered the floor "Enough! Get out or I swear you will regret it." he shouted Helha left our house without being paid. 4 Months later - 3 April At first, I couldn't almost nothing because I was too weak. Being so young it's not easy but had strict training to get stronger, like punching mother's boobs when she breastfeeding me, pulling on dad's nose and ears or lifting weights, in my case lifting the two teddy bears from the floor to the head, and now I can move freely but since I don't want to be caught, so I have to wait till the night falls. "Mom leaving the house to stretch the laundry." Hm, fair enough. Now if I think better, I did not check my skills till now... the reason being that I don't want my parent to see their 4-month-old child with a window game-like floating everywhere he turns his head. "Master, they can't see it. Only you can." "Wait, what?" Since when the system can read my mind? "I am a part of you, Master. I could read your mind from the moment we met." "Then why didn't you tell me till now?" I asked grumpily. "You never asked, Master!" Ok then, let me check the skills right now. The game-like window appears in front of me. Life in The Forge is rarely fun, least of all when you've got an AI that wants to turn you over to the authorities, a stolen ship full of creepy cult shit, and you've pissed off the only guy in the Devil's Helix who doesn't want you dead through sheer incompetence. Unfortunately for Ash, worst courier in the helix, that's his day-to-day. When he gets offered an opportunity to get back into this boss's good graces (and finally get something decent to eat), Ash jumps at the chance, even if that means getting tangled back up with figures he'd rather leave in the past. This is a solo play log of Shawn Tomkin's ttrpg Starforged, as such, even I don't know what's going to happen next! Enjoy the ride!
