《Entertainment Cafe》Incidental Battle

~Evening~
I kept hearing weird noises and couldn't sleep, going downstairs I look out the windows and some sort of a battle going on, and I hear an ergent sounding system beep.
[Danger! Host is in potential danger, Activating store's protective measures!]
I watch as the door has a shield placed over it and it spreads to all of the windows with a triple layer barrier, outside there seems to be a man battling or at least trying to escape assassins, he's making all sorts of weird movements and dodging flying projectiles some of which come in my direction but is protected by the barrier as I hear the clinking noise as they bounce off, but for some reason I am surprisingly calm. I believe the system is protecting my mental state by keeping me safe and protected. Though I do begin to worry about the man outside, he doesn't seem to be in good shape getting cornered in the agasinst the building next door from me.
He is moving a bit slugish and there is a cut on his arm mildly bleeding, poison? I suspect that the man has been poisoned and that is the reason he is moving slugishly, thinking a little bit I hear an annoucement from the system.
[Warning If Host goes out the system will be forced to activate emmergency defense mode on you, potentially subjecting the host to a tramatic view as well as putting the Host into debt of 5 Crystals per second of activation]
Well I suppose if thats the case...I better do this fast.
I open the door and shout for the guy to come to me and he responds by rushing in and falling to the ground in my cafe, I step out and here a series of quick notifications from the system.

[Warning engaging emergency game overlap; Host gains Advanced knee replacement (Temporary)]
I jump up and do a side kick to the first assassin's head and watch as his head spins and his neck snapping from the force of the kick, nearly ripping off. I feel an instinct of something coming at me, as I turn around to see the second assassin throwing a knife at me. I grasp it out of the air and throw it back with a spin, watching as the blade imbedes itself into their skull. I turn and dash up one of the buildings walls falling into an axe kick on the top of his head crushing his throat and smushing his head into his body, I land on the ground and all all three assassins fall dead in the street.
I turn around and vomit, throwing up all that I had eaten in the past 24 hours. Muscles burning I hobble back into my store and lay on my back. Looking away from the bodies in the street I instead turn to see the system notifications.
[Emergency Defense mode deactivated, time spent 6 seconds, Debt of 26 crystals remaining]
[May loot corpses for debt payment, but user advised caution on your mental state]
I select yes, and see the bodies slowly fade into blue light that drifts into the sky, as I fall asleep tired from the battle.
~Morning~
I wake up with a near scream, I had the craziest dream where I killed a couple of people and it was horrible, stomach churning from how realistic it was. I get up out of my bed and take a shower still shaken from the dream. I walk downstairs and freeze as the guy from the dream was asleep on the floor. Was it a dream? I remember all that happened last night and almost heave again, realizing I actually killed those assassins. I see some system notifications I missed as I fell asleep.

[Debt Collected Looted Items Recieved:]
- Silent Step Cultivation Method x3
- 400 Crystals
- Poison Vial x2
- Throwing Dagger x3
- Assassin's Badge x3
[Host is incapacitated, deploying to Bedroom]
I nearly forgot that the system looted the...corpses...before I passed out, So I got a couple of weapons, cultivation manuals, and the assassin's level or something. I look at the man on the floor and nugde him with my foot a vouple of times. I hear a groan and he looks at me wide eyed.
"Your the girl who saved me last night...How? and Why?"
"How, Cus I'm strong, Why though, thats a question I'm still asking myself"
'Oh well thanks for saving me regardless, My name is Damian, Damian Vond."
"June Anabelle, and why were those guys even chasing you in the first place?"
"Thats sort of private so I can't actually tell. Sorry."
I put my hands on my hips.
"Oh you cant tell the person who saved you what this is all about then?" I was curious so I was being a little rude with my speech
'Yeah I'm really sorry, but you can't afford to be involved."
"Though it seems to me I am already involved."
He slowly walked toward the door.
"Just take this."
"What?"
He put a bag of crystals in my hands.
"I'll come back later okay!" and then he ran off out of the cafe before I could stop him.
"Hey wait a minute!" I yelled but it was already to late. He was gone down the street.
I was left standing there with a bag in my hands and a mouth open at the whole morning. Looking at the bag of crystals I smirk a little and ask the system to count them.
[Bag contains 955 crystals inputed into the system]
[Current Balance: 1355 crystals, 3 golds, 5 silver, 8 bronze.]
At least he paid well I think.
Soon I was back to the norm, slowly accumulating customers, Harlow stoping by for breakfast, and in the afternoon for Nanami and her friends to play games, and my income slowly increased more and more each day.
After around 2 weeks I got a letter, unnamed but I could still remeber that night so I took a guess of who it was and read it behind the counter.
To: June Anabelle
Thank you for saving my life, I'd like to invite you to come to my banquet tommorrow evening, use this letter to be used as an invitation, I hope to see you there :)
Yeah I am not going.

The Last Woman on Earth: A Military Sci-fi Intrigue
A disillusioned military officer and the self-proclaimed ‘last woman on Earth’ embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind a world without women. Second Lieutenant Alexei Vronsky is clinging to his sanity after his comrade was killed in a prolonged siege, but the time for self-loathing and wall punching is over. He finds an intruder in his room, who claims to be a woman—a mythical creature only existed in ancient texts. Against his expectation, she has no wings attached to her back, no laser guns on her shoulders, and not the slightest idea about the endless war between the Republic of Moskva and its vassal states. Suspecting she’s a government experiment, Alexei determines to find answers to the impossible existence of women. However, the deeper he digs into the dark, the further he realizes there’s more to the eternal war than he’s allowed to know. And the sooner he can stop the cycle of needless deaths the better, before he's shut down. Permanently. [Apart from being a war novel, this story is also a progression fantasy. The MC will get stronger, acquire more special abilities and fighting gears. They come later in the story, though.]

Path of the Ancients
When humans with the ability to control the fundamental particles of the universe with their minds were first discovered, the age of space travel began in earnest. Relativistic travel faster than the speed of light became possible and humanity moved out into the stars. When it was discovered that these Mages could be turned into effective weapons, humanity turned back to its oldest pastime of war. Hundreds of years later as humanity was on the brink of self-destruction, with its taste for war finally beginning to wane, a new organization was created. The Conclave was formed to regulate all Mage’s within the human colonies. While the colonies maintained their independence, the Conclave’s control over access to interstellar travel made them the de facto power amongst humanity. As the old saying goes, ‘Power Corrupts’, and many people were unhappy with the way the Conclave had been leveraging its authority, not the least of which were the Mages they controlled. One unregistered illegal Mage by the name of Tyrial had made it his life's mission to dismantle the Conclave at any cost. After spending decades working towards his goals alone, he realized he would need the aid of willing allies in his crusade. Tyrial would need all the help he could get learning to work with others, dealing with his own dark past, and handling unfamiliar feelings of romantic interest. Content Warning Note: They are there to cover my behind. I honestly hesitated to put them there at all but I figured better safe than sorry. Gore in particular barely applies and the sexual content amounts to light Cinemax style at best. But, at least now you can’t say I didn’t warn you. POSTED: Currently, this story is being posted to RoyalRoad and ScribbleHub. If you see this story posted anywhere else, please report it to the user "Tyrial" on either of the aforementioned sites.
