《Psychic Evolved》Chapter 8: The Neighbourly Super

Having broken through the wall, the teen looked around, finding me sitting on a piece of rumble chewing on a piece of jerky looking at him. "Are you one disrupting the Strained you need them calm to keep them out of sight of the drones."
That seemed to make him look up, finding none of them in the air. His suspicion then fell on Alan, and he backed up a little looking around as white shimmering appeared in the air. Alan decided to wait for him to speak, “Who are you?”
"I'm Alan, and I'd like to talk to you all if you don’t mind?”
The kid backed up a bit more getting ready to fight or run while Alan sat there silently calm even though he was clenching “So you’re not part of the Phoenixes?”
“No, I’m not a part of the Phoenixes cool name though, I’d like to talk to you, your leader or whoever's in charge.”
Alan barely finished the sentence before the kid had run, Alan had to shout the last part.
"Oh boy, don't worry, I'll just sit here and wait for you to return."
He reported in again, and waited, watching as the Maddened grouped back up. Now staring at him with ever hopeful eyes, he re-engaged he offering of jerky. They lined up from both side as he gave out the rest of his treats, once they'd finished, he showed the empty box.
A lot of the maddened disappeared while a few stood around staring at him from the shadows. He simply waited, enjoying the sun and heat. At the same time, the seat wasn't comfortable, realising was an idiot he summoned a pillow and sat on that which made it far too relaxing. As he found himself falling asleep, just as he felt something's move quickly on the edge of his influence, he didn't move just snoozed.
The ground rubble, as an opening was made in front of him, a shadow cast itself above him. As he cooled one of his eyes opened to see a slim man standing there on the wall look down at him, Alan with a little thought said: "Hey dude can you get out of my light, please."
His eyebrows rose, but he looked up, staring at the person who’d probable dug up from the road. Groaning as Alan sat up, ignore the larping ninjas, rubbing his eyes head stared overseeing three people staring back two of the had smug looks on their faces both of them were young the lad from earlier and a lass a little young he could easily imagine them being brother and sister
The Third one had his head tilted and was examining Alan with his brow furrowed he shrugged. “So Alan was it, what do you want, come to fight those veterans told you nothing about our capabilities, it's four to one, not good odds to take.”
Alan smiled, “That’s good because I came to talk for trade and to warn you, I’m here on behalf of the country.”
That made the others tense and even the man talking, “What's going to threaten us?”
Sigh since he’d prepare for this conversation, “No would I trade with someone I’m about to kill and as you’ve said you’ve a four to one advantage?”
The man nodded and had to give to Alan that wouldn't make much sense. The difference in numbers seemed to calm them all as well, Alan didn't know why considering the change in the world, but humans are going to be human.

Smiling Alan put his arms out and said, “Just here to talk to whoever the leader is, and tell them what I’ve been asked to tell them and then I can get out of your hair. And you can get back to whatever plans you’ve got.”
Alan tried not the said "evil plans", but it was undoubtedly implied which no one seemed to catch thankfully. They were definitely doing something he probably wouldn't like it. Alan definitely got the feeling of larpers from this lot it, they were trying to play a game when this was all real life. If he tried hard, he could probably tell what sort of powers they had simply based on their clothing.
You had the ninja decked out in black, standing on walls and probably had some other ninja-like abilities, to have two kids, the boy in a white suit and the girl in a black dress. Presumably one could control light or the colour white while the other darkness or the colour black. If they were brother and sister, he could see them being opposites. Lastly, the guy who was analytical and thoughtfully slow was definitely the earth manipulator his thick brown clothing and the goggles and torch attached to his hips.
Whoever made their clothes made them very cool looking and personal, that would help each of them. Alan sort of hoped he'd meet however created those and get one form himself, but he doubted he'd have the opportunity to as he the last man threw a sack to the floor in front of him.
Sighing he picks it up, and he retracted his shield to skin-tight, he didn't want to be touched just in case someone could read minds, influence him or poison him. He wasn't willing to risk it as darkness encroached as he put the sack over his head. He used his influence, to see where they were leading him, at first it was relatively easy as they poked and prodded him down the hole that the man had made. They walked along with hundred-odd tunnels and caverns filled with things like maddened and other things that move like creatures that weren't humans.
Once they'd stopped, he was utterly confused from how many tunnels he'd passed and his terrible memories. He imagined that it was possible to make his way back to the entrance. Alan was, sure that if he made a wrong direction, he was doomed and would have to make his own exit. Which was another thing he could smell any sewage either means that they got right of the waste and cleaned up of they'd built an entirely new underground system and with how many tunnels he went through he wouldn't be surprised if there were hundred-odd miles of underground tunnels
They ripped the hood off his face, he had to take a moment as there was a light being blasted into his face and he asked kindly. "Excuse me could turn that down it's a bit blinding."
The light was moved, and he could hear someone say in a female voice, "Jef, that’s supposed to make him uncomfortable, you dolt.”
Alan smile looking pasted the blurry dots. "Thanks, Jef that's very kind of you, and since you don't have to torture me to get answers, then I don't see the point of making me uncomfortable."
“Hmm, Jef’s still an idiot mister, and he's leaving, now Alan, as the leader of the Phoenixes what are you here to tell us?”
The female said matter of factly, Alan was blinking passed the lamplight and managed to get a glimpse of the room he was in. It was better than he was expecting there weren't many luxuries a simple couch, chairs, chess set, and even a TV.

Obviously, they weren't expecting to capture someone they didn't even have a detention cell to hold someone. Maybe he was being shown courtesy, Alan doubted that, but he didn't know.
He wasn't some smarmy politician that wanted to jump around everything. He stood up slowly and turned around with a smile to see that the clothing styling hadn't changed; they all wore things that represented their powers. Her dress clung to her hips and was red and orange that had flames travelling up and down it, he swallowed his word as he saw her.
She rolled her eyes, but she smiled, "Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment, and we'll move on now."
He was about to swallow his tongue when the double door swung open. The handle hitting the wall, putting a dent into it and cracking the door as an automatic douche bag walked in. Alan looked at the lady who had a look of fiery as ember started falling off of her dress, adding the beautiful dress with depth and forethought.
Stepping back as she lit aflame, he watched the monster of a man walk through the doors holding several women in his arms. Some were hugging, swooning for him, the man's eyes were aflame with lust as he stared at the flaming lady, and Alan couldn't help but think. Dude, you may be handsome as the rest of us, but you're damn ugly on the inside, it wasn't even the fact that he had women hanging off him. It was his complete disregard of the women. When one of the petite women who was wearing a gothic dress, tripped and fell to the floor and was casually stepped on, he could even hear the breaking of bones."
Alan had stepped past them all, moving towards the Goth Girl and had healed the broken bones of the Goth girl, before helping her up, “You ok?” He asked.
"Thanks, I have to get back to my master and creator."
She skipped, passed him utterly unfazed by her trauma; he took a better look inside of her. He found some unusual organ he didn't recognise. She had a brain, ovaries, some sort of stomach/ heart thing, what he thought of as lungs and a liver. There were no intestines, but she still had a sphincter and urethra, which had done something he didn’t want to know about, but whatever that petite Goth girl was it wasn’t human.
He then checked out the others; some were like the Goth girl, but others had no internal organs at all. They just looked like a human, some had some sort of sentient slime running through it. It's like they were all just picked out of the fantasy world and have been brought into the real world by this man. Obviously, he could create them going by what Goth girl said and probably fairly easily if he could just break them without a care.
Then it dawned on him if these beautiful people could be created then what would happen if he made other things from fantasy-like dragons, phoenixes. Could he create something from our myths like windigos, gorgons and titans and maybe even the undead?
He removed the shock and surprise from his face and focused back on the conversation, which had Flame girl shouting. "Told you several times I'm the creator and leader of this organisation and if you don't like it. Then you can call another meeting and have then voted for the sixth time. Maybe this time I'll have them vote to remove your ability to call meets and vote.”
“I should still have been called to this interview as a second in command and the most important person in this organisation.”
“Ha, you’ve no right he was here for just the leader a simple talk and exchange of information. Something you need not waste your time onto you might as well return to your project, you're only wasting precious time.”
“No I’m here now might as well be hearing the messenger boy."
Alan's eyebrows rose, why do I think that guys got a god complex already, "It's Alan, who've you are."
He seemed to either ignore or didn’t hear the venom in his words, replied, “I’m the great creator of monsters and fantasy, Michael Gave. I shall listen to the unfortunate and weak so speak.”
"So I guess you can create living creatures that are most impressive. I look forward to seeing what you design if you survive the coming disaster. We hope we can prosper together!"
The two things that Michael caught in those sentences were a disaster and prosper. He hyper-focused on them, "Please tell us what you know, oh generous messenger."
"Please, you might wish to sit, this might take some time to understand," Indicating to the fire lady, "Miss may I know your name?"
Her eyebrow had reason in amusement, and a smile crept upon her face, "My name's Cassandra, please sit." She patted the seat next to her with a pleading smile which he took, while Michael sat with his host of ladies.
"So I've come bearing news, about the government as they've made a deal with several countries to share their research into supers. That's what they call people like us, they'll be arriving by warship tomorrow. We can't have them harmed or know that you're out here, encase they decide that it’s easier to kidnap one of you for their research or go to war with us. So we're asking that you stop attacking the fort."
Putting his hands up to stop any complaints. "In return, we're going to stop expanding the base and supply meat and other supplies to feed the population that you seem to have control over."
Michael spoke, immediately, “We could always use more food fo….”
He stopped himself from speaking as the room got a little brighter, once it dimed down, Cassandra said. "Yes, we can to that, we have about over a million people down here. There are smaller groups that have nothing to do with us spread throughout the city, but we can share it with them for their cooperation. However, I'd like to know a bit more about what's happening if you don't mind."
"Not at all, if we could get a written contract, then I can prove that it has succeeded in my most important mission. Maybe with more cooperation, we could visit each other more often.”
Cassandra nodded, "Indeed, that would be great as she rubbed his shield arm."
Cassandra frowned as he smiled and spoke, “So what would you like to know?”
She returned quickly enough and asked a tonne of questions about the outside world and whether they are aware of us and how other such concerns.
It was getting late he had his written contract, Cassandra and Michael seemed to be happy with what they'd heard. She got up and shook hands with Alan, and without any reaction from him, she frowned again, "Thank you, hopefully, this could be something great in the future."
She moved to the door opening it and called for someone. At the same time, Michael got up with his harem of women offering his hand, he was reluctant to take it. Looking past him at the Goth girl who was staying silent and fondled with Michaels's hair. "Good sir, you've brought important and valuable information it must insist on rewarding you. I saw that you took quite the liking to Elvira named so after her white hair, you needn't be worried she’s recovered from far worse injuries than happened to her. I designed her to love it , she’s a vampire of the earlier models but one of the prettiest models I’ve ever designed. You can have her. Just remember you have to break her at least once a day.
(removed some content for the contest will be added back in afterwards. It's not a sex scene merely close to explicit close enough for me worry about it.)
Michael laughed as he left the petite vampire Goth girl Elvira standing there went to stroke Alan. How was unresponsive to the attention, because he was currently deciding to break Michael to see how much he liked it. He was presently squelching all his indignation and anger into the palm of his hand.
He almost saw red as he made to smite the pig but Cassandra who'd paled and was concerned about the deal they'd just made roasted the pig. Who fled with his women around the corner out of sight but not outside of Alan's influence. In Alan's palms was the blackest of holes that sucking in even light, it faded when Cassandra spoke to him. “Sorry about him, he's quite disgusting?”
Anger in the edge of his voice, “Why do you keep him around then?”
“Because his usefulness is beyond, so much we couldn’t have lived without him, so we put up with his loathsome side. Please understand he’s not leading us and never will with his attitude he puts everyone off.”
Alan didn’t want to understand he wanted her to know something. "If I ever see him anywhere near the facility, he won't be worrying about the army coming after him, because I will be."
If Alan could see himself, the very darkness bending to his will. Cassandra's knees gave out while Alan walked toward the door, Elvira grabbing at his hand he eventually let her, and she calmed down. She smiled and hugged his arm, he couldn't help but smile back at her.
His head was bagged, and the door closed on him, and he listened into Cassandra and someone else. "That was dangerous Cas having Michael in here you know he disgusts people with what he makes. At least Alan accepted taking Elvira, we should at least have an inside agent now since your own powers didn't seem to work. Then he got angry, and I got insulted unintentionally, as he didn't even notice that I was trying to kill him. I couldn't do anything to him. I stabbed him in the neck, didn't touch him, I put my full power behind it, and it did nothing."
Alan only managed to catch a bit of Cassandra’s conversation, “Alan perhaps the scariest being in the city.”
The man asked, “Why’s t…...”

8 225I am...*sigh* a speck of dust.
Hey, I'm...well, I'm not human anymore so I don't suppose that name matters. Anyway, just call me D. Why? Cause I'm dust. Not like, "Oh, no one notices me, it's like I'm dust in the air", but like..actually just a speck of dust. Nothing exciting going on, no action packed fights or cringey romances. Just...dust. I have a little system menu and everything, like all the 'OP' protagonists, but I mostly use it for the notes feature. Like right now. So, if anyone ever sees this, like, if the System stores it somewhere or whatever, just move along. Nothing special here.
