Inside a deep forest with big trees all over the place, in a corner of a few shrubs and bushes, some weird noises could be heard.

The noises were from a group of three goblins, they were currently trying to ward off a big jackal, and save their lives but it seemed like they were bound to fail, and soon die by the claws and jaws of this beast. They couldn't even run because they were too exhausted.

Growl!

ki! ki! ki! ki!

The jackal started growling in an attempt to scare these goblins, his growl had some effect as the small goblins started shivering, and started making even more mistakes in their attacks.

The confrontation continued on for a while till all the three goblins became riddled with injuries.

Seeing that these goblins were almost about to lose, the jackal decided to attack one last time before killing them in one hit.

His body suddenly became a bit larger with a red aura surrounding its body.

It seems like the jackal was going in for the final attack!

Swap!

Suddenly!

From the side of the jackal, a black space formed, and enlarged before an adult sized Lion was thrown out of it with a fast momentum!

The lion crashed heavily with the jackal whose size was similar to it.

Bam!

Whimper!

The jackal whimpered before dying by the momentum of that hit.

The lion hit exactly at the ribs area of the jackal, and completely broke that part, this led the jackal to directly lose his life.

The goblins fearfully stared at this unknown tawny yellow coloured beast, with a big mane that suddenly appeared from a black hole of swirling mass, and killed that jackal.

They were even more afraid after seeing how easily it killed the jackal.

….

'Huh...what is this place? and Where am i?...ah fuck! My head hurts.'

Ben slowly stood up, and began picturing his surroundings, he first noticed a giant jackal laying dead in front of him before noticing three green figures sitting a bit away from his position, while shivering.

'Damn, what is happening? How did I come here?'

He checked his surroundings, and found himself inside a deep forest. He was shocked to see big trees everywhere.

'Maybe someone kidnapped me and brought me here? Anyways, first I should get out of this forest and go back to my home.'

Ben doesn't seem to remember anything related to his transmigration or even about the strange phenomenon that happened in Africa's wildlife forest.

'Strange...I was just in my room when….??? Huh? Why can't I remember anything?' He looked confused.

He turned his head and saw three strange green coloured creatures staring fearfully at him as if he would eat them up.

He realised that these creatures looked similar to goblins from the movies and comic books that he used to read back at home.

'Woah...they look very real...wait, are they actually real?'

Ben looked quite shocked after realising that these creatures in front of him were actually real life breathing goblins!

'Did something happen to them? They look quite injured.'

Since there weren't any humans nearby, he decided to try conversing with these goblins.

"Hey, do you guys know how to speak?.....Guess you can't huh….."

He was about to stand up and go away when one of the goblins moved forward and suddenly bowed down in front of him!

"Ki ku ki ka ki keke!"

Following his lead, the other two goblins also bowed down to Ben like he was some god.

"Ki ku ki ka ki keke!"

"Ki ku ki ka ki keke!"

Ben by instinct wanted to scratch his head because he couldn't understand what they were saying, but to his surprise he realised that he wasn't able to do it.

He looked down and saw two beastly paws with sharp claws had replaced his hands. Seeing that, he looked up again albeit with some confusion flashing in his eyes.

'Am I hallucinating?....this…'

Ben started exhaling heavily out of fear and nervousness.

'This strange forest with very tall trees, that large dead jackal, these three goblins and now my beastly claws….don't tell me….have I transmigrated to a different world and transformed into some kind of beast? What's up with these sharp claws?'

He looked at his hands that somehow turned into beast-like claws, and began checking his whole body to know whether he had really turned into some beast.

The goblins were still in their bowing positions so they didn't see Ben doing these strange movements.

After carefully checking his body, Ben realised that he had somehow turned into a lion!

Yes lion, a majestic animal from Earth.

He didn't know whether he was still on earth or some other magical world, since he met some goblins from the fairy tales he suspiciously thought that he might be in some fantasy world.

After confirming all this, he looked back to see the dead jackal, he remembered when he was thrown out of somewhere he collided against something hard which stopped his momentum.

"This jackal must have been the one that I collided against after coming here….my condolence to you."

He carefully stared at the jackal and noticed some kind of light blue aura pouring out of its body.

'Hm...is it some kind of energy?'

He kept staring at the aura before a weird thought formed inside his head.

'I should maybe try absorbing this aura?….'

Ben didn't know what he was thinking, he just felt like he could somehow absorb this aura pouring out from the dead jackal, he wanted to absorb it.

With his desire to absorb this aura or energy, the aura somehow started moving towards Ben and went inside his body!

Ben closed his eyes to absorb the aura. He felt his body heating up for a while before the feeling disappeared.

Shooooooop...

After the aura completely disappeared, Ben slowly opened his eyes with some confusion.

"Did I just absorb an ethereal aura inside my body? Though it sure feels quite good."

By this experience, Ben finally confirmed that he was actually in some magical world instead of earth, since he could absorb that weird energy or aura inside his body, he decided to term that aura, life energy since it formed after the death of the jackal.

After absorbing the life energy, Ben felt his body heating up again before a black coloured opaque screen with big white text appeared before his eyes.

'Oh..ohhhh! A system somehow fell on my lap…hm Universal beast system? Does this mean I became a universal threat beast? Can I destroy galaxies with this system?'

He noticed the system's talent.

'So, I was able to absorb that aura pouring out from the jackal because of this system talent? And this language translator, would it help me speak and understand any language of the universe?'

He also saw his urja and power levels before getting disappointed.

'I don't think I can destroy or roam around galaxies with mere 20 or 40 points right? It seems like I am too weak'

He should have been shocked, and lost his mind already with all these weird experiences he was going through right now, but he had read too many novels, Manga and watched many anime with the same theme so he wasn't too shocked about it. In fact, being so calm actually shocked him as well.

"There are too many mysteries in this universe, some we can't even comprehend with logic. Who knows? There might exist many different fantasy-like worlds in the universe."

After sorting out his thoughts, Ben began wondering about what he should do next.

'Should I increase my strength and become the 'Universal beast'? This system seems to want me to become one heck of a powerful beast. I can also try figuring out my situation while growing stronger.'

Although Ben looked calm on the surface, inside he was still quite nervous and angry at his current situation. He wanted to go back to Earth, and chill instead of fighting out there in the universe with constant threat to his life.

'Now that I became a lion or should I say a wild animal, I don't think that I will be able to live comfortably, unless I grow powerful...sigh...guess I will have to grow powerful, and find out the secret of my transmigration. Only then would I be able to calm down my anxious heart.'

For now, Ben felt like he should go and try hunting some weak animals to see whether he could absorb their Urja energy Since the system itself termed the light blue aura as urja, Ben decided to start calling it urja as well.

He turned his body and saw three goblins that were still in their bowing positions, he squinted his eyes.

'These three still haven't run away? I could kill them to absorb their Urja...but they seemed to be worshipping me for some reason. I won't be able to kill them for now as my conscience won't let me….oh right, I should try my system's language translator talent on them…...huh wait! Did I just think about killing them? What's wrong with me?'

Although it was confusing, Ben didn't think much of it, and simply contributed this thought to him being in a fantasy-like world.

"Hey, can you three speak?"

After hearing his words, the three goblins raised their bodies in amazement as they somehow understood what he was saying.

"Just..a littl.."

The middle goblin replied, the other two were also speaking but Ben couldn't understand them properly, even the middle goblin's words sounded very rough on the edges.

'Maybe they are too weak and have low intelligence, that's why they can't even speak their own language properly, but they seem to be understanding my words.'

Ben nodded to them "Ok, you three can go now."

After saying this, Ben went ahead since he can't even understand them properly, he won't be able to extract much information from them so he decided to let them go.

Seeing Ben walk away, the three goblins slowly turned their heads and looked at each other.

After walking some distance, Ben suddenly turned his head. He noticed that those three goblins were still following behind him.

'I wouldn't have been able to sense them if I was still a human, but after becoming a lion my senses seemed to have enhanced.'

Seeing that this majestic looking beast had found them, the three goblins jumped out of fright.

Grrrrrrr!

Ben started growling with a menacing expression, he didn't roar because he didn't want some other powerful beasts to find out about him.

"Why are you following behind me? Answer me or else I kill you three right now!"

Ben didn't know that with his current strength, he may not necessarily be able to kill them as he was currently weaker than the big jackal that attacked these three goblins, but since the goblins saw how he came out from a dark portal and killed their attacker, they thought that he must be some fearsome beast and were afraid of Ben.

This was the first time that the three goblins were seeing a ferocious expression on that majestic face.

Seeing that expression, out of fear the three goblins became living statues, without being able to move even though they didn't feel any killing intent coming from the beast.

They were actually just mentally exhausted and frightened, Ben wasn't doing anything to scare or harm them.
