The tension between our two groups was high. With weapons drawn, neither party dared to move. Although it was one man, the weapon he carried was definitely not something to be taken lightly. The weapon that the unknown man carried was a Remington model 887 pump-action shotgun. We may have had the numbers, but at this range, he would definitely be able to kill at least one of us before we took him down.
I could feel beads of sweat starting to form on my forehead. Pops had an annoyed expression on his face. Brutus, having picked up on the apprehension we both felt from having seen that weapon, had already began to sweat profusely, but had somehow barely managed to keep his composure.
“Tch! Sorry boys, but it looks like I messed up.”(Pops/Takeru)
“H-h-h-hey, don’t blame yourself Takeru.”(Brutus)
“He’s right Pops, just because you’ve had the most experience out of all of us here doesn’t mean that you would have been able to find someone just based on their presence. That stuff only happens in stories.”(Rex)
“Hey, don’t make fun of me by trying to comfort me with something as half-assed as that! Anyways, old man, who the hell are you!?”(Pops/Takeru)
The old man glared at us for a few more seconds before he decided to respond.
“The names Malcolm, who the hell are you?”(Malcolm)
“That accent, you’re scottish aren’t you? No, that’s a pretty stupid question, with that heavy of an accent you couldn’t be anything but scottish. Now my next question, what was the purpose of your unit. Based on the insignia of this plane and on your uniform, you’re Royal Air Force, what the hell is UK’s military doing so far out here?”(Pops/Takeru)

“The UK? So you’re aren’t a native of this region I take it. Only people from the old world would know what the UK is.”(Malcolm)
Another period of silence followed as Malcolm seemed to ponder over the new information he had just received. After a few more moments, he lowered his weapon.
“Come inside, I want to talk to the two of you, but the little green man stays out here.”(Pops/Takeru)
“If you’re scared that whatever you might say will be leaked to the natives of this region, don’t be. All of us, Brutus included, aren’t related to the military of the Draacia Kingdom, the nation that governs this region.”(Rex)
“Although you may vouch for him, boy, I still don’t trust him. He stays out here.”(Malcolm)
“And you’re under the assumption that you have a say in the matter. If you want to talk to us, he’s coming too. If you still want to exclude him from whatever it is you might want to ask us, then we’re done talking, and we can just go right back to aiming our weapons at each other.” (Rex)
I began to move into a more offensive stance to make sure he understood that I wasn’t joking. Brutus seemed to be happy at the fact that I was fighting for his inclusion in the discussion, however Pops seemed to have gotten annoyed at what I said, although I can’t blame him. Considering the situation we were in, what I had done probably wasn’t the smartest choice. However, Brutus is one of my teammates that I’ve put my trust in, and is also someone that I want to become closer to as a friend. He’s the same age as I am, but all his life he’s had to live with disrespect and cruelty, just because he’s a goblin.

Pops was about to say something, however Malcolm responded before he could.
“Find then, the monster can come with, however, if I see even the slightest hint of aggression from him, I won’t hesitate to kill him, or you two for that matter.”(Malcolm)
With those words Malcolm began to guide us into the wreckage of the aircraft, where we would learn of the state of the world, but at the same time that this all occurred, another event had transpired without our knowing of it.

I had been sitting in my office like any other day when I received a notification from my secretary(yes, I do have one), Ida, that I had an urgent message from the Association. She came into my office and left the letter on my desk. The letter had been enchanted through the power of a mage, sealed in a fashion so that only the designated recipient could open the letter. If anyone else tried to open it, the letter would burst into flames and would be lost, along with whatever message it had been trying to send.
I opened the letter and read over its contents. Its contents gave me a bit of a surprise.
“Well, this is a little bit of a setback now, isn’t it? But I can’t let them find out about this, not until they’ve finished this mission.”(Lance)
I looked toward the drawer that held the request that I had been given all those years ago, the mission that I myself can’t complete, but believe that they can.
“I’m putting all my hopes on you two, for her sake.”(Lance)

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.
