Yamihr opened the door to the office room. It's only a small room. There's a small desk, a bookshelf and chairs, and tables to accommodate guests.
Yamihr was a bit disappointed.
Even still, there's still a lot of books so let's hope there are books for magic. Yamihr thought positively.
Yamihr began crawling towards the bookshelf, his priority, the book of magic! Looking at the high bookshelf, Yamihr felt tiny.
"How can I get the books with these tiny hands of mine?"
Tilting his head sideways, an idea rushed into Yamihr's head. He began pushing the boxes and stacked it up in front of the bookshelf.
Wiping the sweat off of his forehead, Yamihr climbed onto the stacked boxes. Picking up a book, Yamihr realizes that the book won't budge.
Using both hands, Yamihr pulled it with all his strength. The momentum of his body can't be stopped so when the books fell, his body also fell.
Buried in a dozen books, Yamihr groaned in pain but it was replaced with delight as he started searching for the book of magic.
A moment later of searching, Yamihr found a book related to magic. It was called 'Introductory to an Elementary Magic'
Yamihr opened the book with much anticipation. At first, the contents inside are somewhat blurry but later on, it became clear when he focused on the book itself.
"Ooh! I can read! I can read!"
Laughing wildly, he began reading the book excitedly. What Yamihr didn't know that the eyes that once black in color became golden.
In the book, It explained that to become a beginner mage, one has to feel the magic in the environment.
To do so, One has to spread his or her senses to the maximum and attune oneself to his or her surroundings.

Following the Instructions, Yamihr spread his 5 senses and started to feel the magic in the environment.
Sometime later, Yamihr saw specks of lights gather above him. He saw different colors. Red, green, blue, brown, gold, violet, and black.
However, there are mostly green in color. I wonder why? Is it because we're surrounded by trees?
When Martha came into Runevard, she didn't have much money in her. She inquired and found a house near the forest. It was said that a witch skilled in potion-making lived here before but was abandoned later on.
The Real Estate Company took it as their own property. They tried to sell it but no one wants it as they don't want to offend the witch and someday may come back.
As time goes on, the price of the property became low. The Real Estate Company wants to get rid of the property so they offered it at a low price. A profit is a profit.
That was when Martha came and snagged it off the Real Estate Company at the cheapest price as possible.
"The green color must represent nature. So that's why the color green is so abundant!"
Moving on. According to the book, you have to gather an element and chant to produce a spell.
'O Wind, heed my prayers and come forth. Gale Wind!'
A swooshing sound can be heard as the clothes Yamihr's wearing are flapping and the papers started flying disorderly.
"Was it a success?"
Yamihr said so with disordered hair. Looking at his hands, Yamihr's eyes started gleaming. He clenched his hands in excitement, pump it in the air, and made a victory shout.
"Alright, I can confirm that I can use Wind magic. How about other elements?"
According to the book, a normal person has One element affinity. A genius mage has a double element affinity.

In the legends, there is a person capable of using four magic! A quadrupled element affinity! He was called the Great Sage, Randolf!
Yamihr is excited to see how many element affinities he has. He gathered fire elements in the tip of his finger and chanted.
'O Fire that passionately burns, heed my call. Ignite!'
A flame appeared on the tip of his finger. Yamihr jumped out of joy to know that he is a genius mage, a double element affinity.
Raising his forefinger with a fire above it in the air, he shouted.
"Yossshhaaa!"
When suddenly, as if consumed by darkness itself, the fire on his fingertips became black in color.
"Eh?! What is this? Is this a fire? B-but… According to the book, the Fire element has three stages namely, Orange, Red, and Blue…. Just what is this?..."
Staring at the flickering flame in his hands, Yamihr decided to deactivate the magic.
Suddenly, Yamihr started to feel dizzy as his body went limp out of weakness.
"Huh?... Am I out of mana?... So this… is what…. It feels like… to run out of mana…"
Filled with an urge to sleep, Yamihr closes his eyes in exhaustion and regret. Regretting not experimenting any longer so to how many Elements can he use.
