《Devour》Chapter 29: Bring to Work Day

Walking on the road, Lala rides on Jio's shoulder and notices a burning village that caught Jio's attention since this village might have opposed the Blood Moon Cult's practices. Jio knows that the cult's main force starts marching back to the main altar and captures people on the way back to be the sacrifice to the Dark One as ordered by the High Priest.
Jio puts Lala down, gives her a portion of Jon's, and tells her how to use the soul weapon.
"Since you already have the power of the Queen of Slime, I'm pretty sure you can use my weapon," Jio let out and continue, "Just imagine what kind of shape and Jon will morph."
"Weally?" Lala said, and Jon morphs into a dagger.
"You're a natural," Jio said and patted Lala's head.
Jio takes another piece from his soul weapon Jon and morphs around Lala's body, turning into a small armor with wings.
"I... I have wings! I have wings! I look like a butterfly! Geo!" Lala happily announces
Lala starts to flap her wings and begin to fly around Jio like a little angel while she tries to get Jio's attention, "Jio, Gio, G-o look at me, I'm flwing! I'm Flying."
"I know! Your really good at it!" Jio happily praises Lala.
"I can also fliwp, flip," Lala flip flying gracefully and continue, "I bet uo can'wt do it."
"Maybe, but do you know how to fight?" Jio changes the topic since she starts to annoy him.
"Fight? Of couwse I can paght! Master starts to tweach me a long ago, but I think I lost me way in the fowest... While fighting," Lala explains.
"Good, try to stay away from the village and watch me while I go save those people," Jio said while he prepares for battle.

Jon morphs around Jio and turns to a black armor with a skull mask and scythe in his right hand.
"But Jio! G-oooo~ I hunt beasts more fuwious than dos human!" Lala protests.
"No buts! I Promise to look for your master with you after I finish dealing with the Blood Moon Cult," Jio offers to Lala.
"..." Lala madly looks at Jio, but she's so adorable that Jio only pinches her cheek.
"So adorable," After talking to Lala, he jumps with his scythe and mask on and runs towards the village undetected.
The Blood Moon Cult starts kidnapping everyone anywhere and transporting them to the main altar. The Cult promised their safety a year ago, and now their just like wolves keeping a herd of sheep as livestock and wait until they are ready for consumption. Now, those who swear to protect them from invaders, beasts, or the monster race are here to capture them just to be sacrificed to the Dark One.
Everybody knows The Reaper, and when someone shouts his name, the villagers see hope and start to fight back. Few cult members start running, but a fast-moving bullet makes a hole in their skull and frightens whoever saw what happened.
The group leader commands everyone to find The Reaper and told them whoever captures him, dead or alive, will be awarded greatly.
Two magicians cast fire and lighting magic towards Jio while three warriors surrounded him. To Jio's surprise, one earth magician cast magic beneath him, securing him on the spot as the fire and lighting projectiles close.
Jio didn't panic and knew that the warrior around him wouldn't attack because of the upcoming spell. He maniacally laughs, raises both hands, and the fire went to the scythe and the armor while the lighting gathers at Jio's left hand.

The leader of the group and everyone looks at Jio with terror in their eyes and watch him grow a pair of black wings and quickly slice the three warriors surrounding him. Jio flies and uses a fireball, killing the earth magician with one hit.
With seven breathing cult members in the small village, Jio hits the ground with Jon traveling underground. A finger-sized black metal comes out under each cult member, piercing their bodies with electric current coursing through, killing them in an instant.
In the leader's head, it's either fight or flight, and he decided to strike after he saw an opportunity to attack from behind. As soon as he reached Jio, he didn't feel any pain until he saw his own arm flying in front of him, asking himself how The Reaper attacked him without looking behind.
A girl around six to eight-year-old in a white gown with black armor around her body holding a much smaller scythe and a black skull mask like The Reaper right in front of the leader and accepts his fate as he saw his headless body drop on the ground.
"I told you to stay over there and wait," Jio angrily let out, looking at Lala.
"I thought uo needed help," Lala answer in her defense.
"Well, that's nice of you, but next time I want you to listen, okay?" Jio sighs and can not get mad at Lala, knowing her situation.
"Otay," Lala happily answers and flies around Jio.
This scene is like when death marries an angel and has a baby, and God tells everyone to bring their precious treasure to "Bring Your Child To Work Day."
The villagers don't know what's happening and are confused that they forgot about being captured.
Before Cloud and Jio part ways, Cloud gives Jio a list of bullets he can make and takes two bullets for the two cult members who escape as soon as they heard The Reaper's name.
Jon morphs into a soul gun for long-range shooting, customize brace and handle for stability during firing. He tried and practiced this type of weapon with Cloud's handwritten instruction, which helped him master the art of shooting a gun.
Jio stands with his feet shoulder-width apart, pointing slightly away from the target. He keeps his legs straight and knees soft, and when he pulls the trigger, the lead went straight through the cult's head and shot the last one with a paralyzing bullet. He achieved this fleet thanks to the Dragon Pear's effect, which improved his eyesight.
