《The Tower of Opportunity - Rewrite》Prologue

~???th Floor Staircase~
The sounds of footsteps echo through the barren stone staircase, upon which a man clothed in what seem to be the last remnants of a prison jumpsuit stained with blood, sweat, dirt, and grime, with numerous holes filling the fabric, which show the similarly dirt stained skin that lies beneath these rags, is seen lumbering up the steps at a steady pace. His face shows an expression that can only be built up from the worst experiences that the world has to offer, but his mind is preoccupied with thoughts of his comrades who have left before him. As the man approaches a gateway at the top of the staircase, lit a dim red color, a small mutter escapes from his mouth.
"Finally... Finally it's almost over."
He then steps forward through the gateway and appears in a ruined coliseum. As he looks around, the stands surrounding the open area he is standing in are all empty, save for the dust and rubble that now lies there. Turning his attention to the front, his eyes widen slightly in astonishment, upon seeing the massive hulking monster that lies before him, before shifting into a glare of determination.
The beast in front, turns to face the man who is already in a position of attack with a magic staff pointed straight at it.
"Puny creature... You dare stand before me with a weapon raised. Get on your knees and beg if you do not wish to greet those who lie below.", the beast bellows towards the man, but it is only answered by a scoff.
A few veins upon the beast's forehead protrude outward in a sign of anger, before he practically shouts at the man, "So death it shall be!", before charging at him, arms outstretched.

Piles of rubble are scattered around the near collapsed arena with a cloud of dust looming overhead, obscuring any view of the pair of beast and man, but after a few seconds the dust settles revealing the now mutilated duo. The beast, now left with only half of his body, the remnants of his brain left exposed to open air pulsating slightly, is spasming constantly, and the edge of his intact flesh is wriggling, seemingly in an attempt to regenerate, but to no avail. The beast's remaining arm is stuck through the torso of the man, now left with only one leg, and his body littered with fine cuts. The man sputters out a small mouthful of blood as he mutters, "That... barely even tickles.", with a smile. Soon his eyes start to close, and he drifts off in a seemingly eternal slumber.
***
In a near endless clearing, a tower with a width so wide the edges are unable to be seen and a height so tall the tip of it seems to pierce straight into space itself, sits in front of an ocean of people that seems almost as endless as the tower itself. A familiar man wakes up from his slumber on the stone floor in front of the tower, but he is now in a clean prison jumpsuit and no injuries can be seen on his body. He stands up with a bored expression on his face, the only thought going through his head being, 'Here we go again.'
***
In a borderless white void, a man is sitting on a worn leather couch in front of a wall of TVs. Suddenly as if he senses something, he stares into the empty void to his left, and speaks aloud to the open air.
“What are you doing here dear observer, you aren’t supposed to be here yet.”, he says while smirking
“Well, let me take you back to the beginning of this story.”
He then raises his hand and snaps his fingers, and the scenery fades to black instantly.
