Shugetsu snaps his fingers.

The sky turns violet. Hayato instantly recognized this attack.
(I...Recognize this! This is the attack the turtle used!)
"Don't let your guard down! I know you are afraid, but we need to kill him!" (#1)
"Charge! Let's try to strike him now!" (#3)
Both #1 and #3 charge directly at Shugetsu. #2 However, stays still.
"#2! Move!" (#1)
"I...Can't...I'm too afraid!" (#2)
A beam of radiant light starts making its way to #2.
"#2! Move or you will die!" (#3)
"I'm...Sorry..." (#2)
The beam lands on #2. #1 and #3 watch in unimaginable horror as he is disintegrated right in front of their savage eyes.
"Oh! You will pay for this!" (#3)
"Huh? Does your boss genuinely think people as weak as you can defeat me?" (Shugetsu)
"...."
"What? Did a cat eat your tongue?" (Shugetsu)
#1 suddenly appears behind Shugetsu!
"Hah! Caught Ya!" (#1)
#1 Stabs Shugetsu. Shugetsu bleeds profusely from his mouth.
"he...he...I allowed you to do that..." (Shugetsu)
"What do you mean? No one gets hit on propose." (#3)
(That's where you are wrong. Since Shugetsu is the turtle, he is most likely gonna use his sentients. This is undoubtedly where it gets difficult.)
"Call of the sentients." (Shugetsu)
A mysterious human appears next to Shugetsu. He wears suitable clothes that look like those of a ninja and is carrying two polished blades, one on each hand.
(Woah! The sentients look completely different when Shugetsu is human! But...this is only one sentient..)

"Did you call, master?' (Sentient)
"Yes. Undoubtedly kill those two." (Shugetsu)
"Understood." (Sentient)
"How is he supposed to ki-" (#3)
"Look behind you." (Sentient)
Shugetsu's sentient appears behind #3. The sentient cuts his head off and starts running towards #1.
"What! Who are you?" (#1)
"Just a servant." (Sentient)
The sentient cuts through #1, he was separated into two halves, blood sprays out of his organic body as if it was a decorative fountain.
"Thank you, now, you can go." (Shugetsu)
"Understood." (Sentient)
(But...Shugetsu didn't heal...So?)
Shugetsu walks slowly towards the corpse of #3 and #1. He then sits on the ground and carefully carries their blood in his hand. Shugetsu drinks eagerly their blood and his visible wound started to miraculously heal.
(What the hell?! He heals himself by drinking his enemy's blood?! That's seriously messed up!)
Someone from inside the cave starts talking.
"You don't know when to stop, do you?"
"What do you mean?" (Shugetsu)
"Just like a turtle...In fact...That fits you..."
"Who are you?" (Shugetsu)
"Turtle's song."
Shugetsu starts screaming in unspeakable agony. He starts rolling on the ground while grasping his head.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHH" (Shugetsu)
"You are now my first servant. The turtle."
Shugetsu falls unconscious, his body lies before the entrance of the cave. The ground starts traditionally consuming his body.
The memory ends and Hayato is transported back into his own time, where his valuable allies are fighting fiercely against the turtle.

Dark Matter
In the year 2023, scientists investigating the nature of dark matter caused a blackout throughout the entire world of Coranth. With this blackout came the appearance of supernatural and near-magical elemental abilities able to be wielded by all. By harnessing the dark matter in the environment, even ordinary humans now accessed powers that would have been deemed fantasy. These abilities include Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, and Terra, being the five natural elements of which dark matter is absorbed by the planet itself. Additionally, the two moons orbiting Coranth offer the "Superior" elements of Dark and Light. The year is now 2041, and Dark Matter will follow the story of an adolescent boy named Raiden Sullivan in a dystopian future, 16 years old, eldest of 2, and son to Marcus Sullivan. Raiden is an intelligent young man belonging to a poor family with an absentee mother. He partakes in daily chores to cover living expenses after school and his home life is surrounded by his caring father and younger sister. In truth, this is my take on urban fantasy with slight LitRPG that keeps the "magic" elements somewhat scientific for a more realistic story. In using the dark matter surrounding our universe, humans can now harness elemental abilities as well as absorb dark matter from the beasts/monsters to further strengthen their abilities. For the most part, that'll be the main premise of the power system. Full transparency, this will be the first story I write and also the first story I publish, so please be patient with me. For some context, I'm an avid reader and after 4 or so years of only consuming, I feel that it might be time to try my hand at writing instead. The book ends after the conclusion of the Hearing.Relovan is a stickler for the Law – something that prompted him to learn not only the laws ofvarious territories and planetary systems, but also the native languages and customs, so as touphold the law as best he can. As a highly trained, and immensely skilled former soldier,Relovan’s abilities along with his latent talent regarding the use of Essence, allow him to hangwith beings infinitely more powerful than him.
