I open my eyes to find myself standing in a burning house and a fire spirit standing in front of me.
"Open your eyes"
"Who?" (Hayato)
"Fire, your inner fire.."
"Hm..." (Hayato)
"Kill it, using fire"
"But...Where am I?" (Hayato)
The fire starts disappearing slowly
"W-wait! I'm still not done!" (Hayato)
"Find your inner flames"
The spirit disappears, and so does the fire.
"WAKE UP!" (Aiko)
"Uhhhh..." (Hayato)
Was I asleep?
"IT'S HERE, THE 1ST LEADER!" (Aiko)
"The...wha?" (Hayato)
Katachi and Mitsuru were standing next to the door, fully equipped with armour.
"It's no time to be fooling around.." (Katachi)
"Yeah, this is our first mission!" (Mitsuru)
"Wait...what's this? I can see a number?" (Hayato)
"Well, that is the amount of Hp the boss haves. We also have to meet the king soon, so get your ass up" (Katachi)
Both of them leave the room, I quickly get up and prepare, then, I visit the king with them.
"Did the 1st leader spawn?" (King)
"Yes" (Hayato)
"Ok then, I will leave my greatest commander, Riza, to help you on the battlefield" (King)
I can suddenly see a girl standing in the room as if she was there.
"Hey everyone!!"
"What is this?" (Hayato)
"This is Riza's ability, telecommunication. It allows her to be visible in the room as if she was
here." (King)
"Nice to meet you! But we have no time, I can pinpoint the location of the 1st leader now... It's
around a cave close to us!" (Riza)
"Now heroes, go, save our world!" (King)
We all move according to Riza's directions, we finally reach a cave with only one entrance.
"I'm going in first!" (Mitsuru)
"No, wait...You idiot!" (Katachi)

(shift to Mitsuru's point of view)
Hmmmm, this cave is huge but...it's quite empty, to be honest.
What's this? I feel something warm underneath me..
It's glowing red...
"Guuuuuuuys, I found something!" (Mitsuru)
"Guys? anyone?" (Mitsuru)
Where have they gone and left me?
I'm gonna get back to the opening of the cave and check if they did ditch me.
Woah! The cave is floating! I see, so they were standing on the ground all the time!
"MITSURUUUUUUU! THE CAVE IS NOT FLOATING!!!!" (Katachi)
"What do you mean?" (Mitsuru)
"YOU IDIOT! THE 1ST LEADER IS CARRYING THE CAVE!" (Hayato)
Wait, so the 1st leader is that huge? Does that mean I'm standing on top of the 1st leader?
Shit! I can't get down! It's too high!
"Guuuuyyys, I can't get down!" (Mitsuru)
(Shift to Hayato point of view)
A stream of water shoots towards Mitsuru, it pushes him off the cave but catches him when he
reached the ground.
"Was that you? Tomiko?" (Hayato)
"Yes! But now we have something bigger to focus on!" (Tomiko)
A huge turtle-like creature stands menacingly in front of us, staring at us as if it knows
we are here to kill it. This is it, this is our battle!

Luckily for me, I spent a couple months convinced I was dying and stepped away from the project. I'm not dying by the way, at least not any more than in the traditional sense. But during that period of inner turmoil, I was able to step back and realize I wasn't too thrilled with the direction this was going. So I have relaunched this project under the name Duck Around and Find Out. Some elements will be the same, and some early chapters may be pretty close to what was in the original draft, but I wanted to get into the action with a bit more haste.
