Dungeon Rescue

“Muaaaaaah.” Damn, so sleepy, let me take a quick nap.

I closed my eyes, but not long after, something hard like a rock had hit my head.

Who the fuck ruin my sleep? I raised my head.

“Oi!”

Oh fuck! Camilla!

A long red hair ponytail and brown skin, stood in front of me with her red ember eyes stared straight to me.

“Ara. Do you have something to speak to me, Emil?”

“N n n n nothing!” I swayed my hand in the speed of light, trying to refute her question.

“Hmm?” She smiled as her face got closer to me.

Camilla looked at me like a predator examined their prey.

And the prey was me, like a mouse trying to hide from the snake.

Or an eagle.

“Hmm… okay.” She moved her face away from me.

“I have s-,” Before Camilla could speak, the alarm rang.

Then, a 3d hologram in the shape of a cube, projected at the centre of the guild.

“Sent….. We….” An inaudible voice echoed through the hall along with the face of a young girl on the screen.

Then, the screen went black.

W-what is going on?

“Shit! There’s some… like interference inside their location.” The receptionist wandered her finger on her magic screen.

“Have you pinpoint their location?” Camilla asked.

“Yes! They’re inside the boss room at Blue Canyon dungeon.” The receptionist answered.

“Emil! Camilla!” The Guild Master called us from his balcony on the second floor.

“Yes, sir!” I responded.

“Yes, master!” Camilla responded in a calm tone.

“You two, find out what’s going on inside that dungeon and rescue them!” The guild master ordered us.

“Understood, sir!”

“Yes, Master!”

I grabbed my sword and mounted it on my hips.

“Let’s go!” Camilla said.

“Alright!” I glowed.

We stepped inside the magic circle.

“I can’t teleport you guys inside the boss’s room because of the interference. You need to make your way from the entrance and head there.” The receptionist said as her eyes and finger wandered on the magic screen.

“Understood,” Camilla said.

“Hit it!” I said.

The receptionist nodded and tapped on her magic screen.

A bright light engulfed us, and we teleported at the entrance of the dungeon.

Dungeon.

Camilla took out a magic scanner from her inventory and scanned our surrounding.

“Do you find anything?” I asked.

“No, looks normal here. It must be that the dungeon was the only one that was affected by this interference,” Camilla said as she put her scanner away.

“I guess so, but it’s too early to say that,” I looked at the entrance, “We may find answer in the dungeon.”

“You’re right,” She agreed as she walked pass me, “Let’s go.”

I followed behind her and we placed our hands on the door.

The door opened and a bright white screen appeared before us.

It covered the whole space of the door.

We stepped inside it and exited in the other side.

“Wow!” I said in a not amused tone.

“I never thought they’d prepared a welcome party for us.” She said.

Three goblins, a spiky goblin, a bald goblin and glasses goblin, stood in front of us.

To made matter worse, they focused their attention on Camilla.

Their eyes were filled with lust.

Oh man! Someone needs to call a healer…

For them of course.

Camilla took out her whip and dagger.

Whip on her left hand and dagger on her right hand.

She dashed toward them, stabbed the bald goblin on his chest and side kick the spiky goblin.

The spiky goblin went crashing on the wall.

The glasses goblin held his sword up in the air and swung at her.

She glared at him, and the glasses goblin paused before backing away.

Camilla pulled out her dagger. sliced the throat of the bald goblin and the goblin dropped dead on the ground.

She readied her whip and swung at the goblin with the glasses.

The whip travelled through the air in high speed and tangled the goblin on his left foot.

Camilla smiled and she swayed her whip to the left and the goblin hit his head.

Stilled tangled, she swayed him to the right and the goblin hit his face on the ground.

She swayed the goblin back and forth.

Note to self; don’t make her mad or look at her in a lustful way.

Wait! I already did it with her three weeks ago, but did I?

Better forget about it.

Whoever becomes her husband, rest in peace, compadre.

Camilla removed her whip from the death goblin and ordered me to come to her using her two fingers.

Ugh! I’ve bad feeling about this.

I walked toward her, “If you asked why I didn’t join you. That was because you were having a good time. So, I don’t want to disturb you.”

She smiled and looked at me with her eyes half close, “Really? Or are you just happy that you don’t have to work hard? Or you were thinking about what happen before?”

Damn! She read me like a book.

“No no no no, It’s the truth and whatever happen before…”

“Stop! I don’t want to remember it.” She cut in.

“Likewise.” I agreed to stop.

We travelled through the dungeon and found something disturbing.

“You found it strange too, huh?” Camilla said.

“Yes… we didn’t get attack since the encounter with the goblin.” I responded as we ran, “Has your scanner pick up something?”

Camilla shook her head.

“Then, I guess our bet is at the boss room, maybe there we will find answer,” I told her.

“Yes. Let’s speed up!” She ordered.

“Roger!”

Blue Lightning.

I casted the lightning on myself and Camilla.

Our speed was much faster than before, as we travelled through the dungeon and several minutes later.

We arrived at the entrance of the boss room.

“Wow! My scanner is picking up a high level of concentrated dark magic inside,” Her eyes widened as she looked over at her scanner.

I moved closer to her and looked at the scanner.

Huh? Are my eyes playing trick on me?

The scanner showed 1 million of dark mana as it pointed toward the door.

Shit! This could end very badly for us.

Camilla puked.

I took out a green potion from my inventory

“Here, this would ease the pain,” my right hand stretched toward her.

She looked at the potion, raised her head and looked at me, “Does this have any side effect?”

What kind a question is that?

“No side effect, even a mother who had given birth to five identical twin use this,” I reassured her.

Camilla looked at the potion again and grabbed it.

She pulled out the tap and drank it.

“Thank you.”

“No problem,” We walked toward the door.

As I looked at the door, something ominous was behind it.

“Camilla.” My voice spoke in a calm and serious tone.

She looked at me with her eyebrows grew closer together.

“If… if the situation becomes worse, I need you to take the survivors and teleport away without me.”

“No! I refused!” A blazing fire within her eyes as she glared at me.

“Sorry, but this time I won’t budge… Please, listen to me for this one.” I told her.

“But-.”

“Please… just this one.”

“I I understand.” She frowned as her left hand grabbed her left arm.

“Let’s go,” I told her.

We drank two more of the green potions and positioned the red gem on the door.

The door opened and a freezing coldness engulfed my senses.

A A-Am I going to die?

“Stay focus!” Camilla shouted at me which made me snapped back to reality.

Damn. I almost wanted to run back. Where did all the confidence go? It will be embarrassing if I run away after pulling some cool liners.

“Thanks.”

We stepped inside the room and the door behind us close.

Camilla’s thought.

How should I tell him?

That night!

Ughhh.

I don’t want to think about it.

This man in front of me.

Hold my future on where I should go.

If anything happens to him.

What would happen to me?

And most importantly…

My hand squeezed my lower half.

“Is anything wrong?” Emil said as I snapped back to reality.

We were travelling through the dungeon, our mission was to rescue the survivors and investigate what was going on in that room.

“Nothing,” I told him.

“Okay.” He moved his head away from me.

Sorry!

Focus on the job, Camilla.

Something was up, on his mind.

So, he noticed it too, huh?

“You found it strange too, huh?” I said.

We discussed about how strange it was that we didn’t encounter any monsters since the goblins.

Emil boosted my speed and his.

Then, we headed toward the boss room.

Boss Room.

As we entered the room, the coldness became intense.

I looked at Camilla who was beside me.

She looked fine but something was bothering her.

My eyes wandered around the room.

“We’re surrounded,” Camilla said.

All around us, in the shadow, eyes were looking at us, each of them has eight eyes.

Two of the eyes was big.

They inched closer toward us.

As they appeared from the shadow.

Their whole body was black, white stripe on their back, eight legs.

A spider.

My legs moved backwards, something soft and firm clashed with my back.

I looked behind me and it was Camilla.

They were also in front of her.

“Oh my?” A woman voice echoed through the room.

She appeared from the shadow.

An arachnes.

Her lower half was a spider, the upper half was a human, her long black hair stretched to her back and it covered her-.

“Don’t look !” Camilla shouted.

“Huh?”

Did I get caught?

“Her spider eyes are deadly,” She told me as she pulled out her sword.

I followed her action and pulled out mine.

“What do we have here, children?”

They communicated in a strange sound, something like a mixture between the sound of a cricket and the hissing of a snake.

“This is going to be troublesome,” A silhouette ran through my cheek.

“Yeah,” I responded as my eyes looked behind the arachne.

Five cacoons were tied on a giant web.

Two of them had already been consumed.

God!

“Who are you!” Camilla asked her.

“Me?” She acted as her right hand positioned on her chest before removing it, “ Behold! Humans, my name is Illous, and I am their queen.”

She spread her arms wide, the spiders made a loud strange sound.

Are they chanting her name?

“Thank you, thank you,” She swept her hair back, “Now what should I do about you?”

“You’re not going to surrender them to us, am I right?” I told her.

She made a wide grin, “Yes, I won’t. the first two were… quite tasty. One of them begged for mercy as my children devoured him. He shouted ‘mommy, mommy…’ it was quite amusing. Then, his screams became quieter. Hahahaha.”

“You!” I tightened my grip on my sword.

Yellow Lightning!

My whole body emitted sparks of yellow lightning.

“Oh my. Are you challenging me, boy?” Illous shot a thread of web on the ceiling above her, climbed on the ceiling using the thread, her children covered her.

“Camilla, I’ll take care of her, you take care of her childrens,” I told her in a calm and serious tone.

She side glanced at me, and our eyes interlocked.

Be careful. Her eyes showed me as I read them.

My head nodded, and my legs dashed toward Illous at high speed.

Her children tried to block me.

“Emil! Duck!” She yelled at me.

I stopped my action and ducked, a bright red blazing slash, passed my head and burned the spiders in front of me.

“Thanks!”

I focused my lightning on the sword and slash the air in front of me.

A slash of yellow lightning headed toward Illous.

Illous formed a web sword on her right hand and blocked the attack.

She conjured a black orb and hurled it towards me.

Blue Lightning!

The Blue Lightning emitted from my body, formed several clones of me, they went ahead and used their body to block the attack.

Purple Lightning!

I formed two lightning arrowheads and pointed my hand at Illous.

The two arrowheads sped toward her.

She swung her dark scythe and block my attack like it was nothing.

Where did he get that?

Illous formed a smile.

Creepy!

Then, she disappeared from my sight.

Huh! I gasped.

A presence appeared at my left rear, something swung at me, my eyes looked at my side, and it was Illous.

Yellow Lightning!

Time slowed, my feet stepped backwards, and her attack landed in front of me.

The time resumed, and my hand swung the sword at her.

The sword stopped in front of her.

“W-what?” I gasped.

My eyes scanned my surrounding.

So, that’s how you did it!

Around me, multiple web threads tied me in the air.

There were also web strings on my sword and fingers.

“Looks like the insect had been trapped.” She touched my chin.

My head shook it off.

“Oh my! You’re quite handsome, it’s a shame that we’ve to fight. If you join me, you can have all of this.”

She coursed her finger from her face to her chest then to her stomach.

“Sorry, but if I have between you and that red hair over there, I prefer her,” I told her which was a lie of course.

Her eyebrows twitched, she opened her mouth.

All of her teeth were sharp, it had similarities with the shark.

Only one way to get out of this mess.

Don’t lose control!

Red lightning.

My whole body began to vibrate at high speed.

She stopped, her eyebrows grew wide and jumped backwards.

“You!”

“You didn’t see this coming did you?” I spoke in a vibrating tone.

I phased through her web, dashed toward her, and punched her stomach.

She gasped and threw herself into the wall behind her.

The wall cracked and an orb was revealed through the crack.

Is that…

“Emil!” Camilla shouted as he looked at her.

She swung her sword at the spiderlings, they burned into crisps.

“That orb is the one causing the interference, destroy it and it will stop,” she told me.

“Rog!”

It’s time to do that.

I stabbed the sword on the ground.

Purple Lightning!

My hands channelled the lightning to the sword.

“I won’t let you destroy it!” She yelled as two scythes formed on her hands.

Something very ominous was inside her scythes.

“I’ll be back,” I whispered to the sword.

Yellow lightning!

I formed a fist on my right hand and dashed toward Illous at high speed.

“You dare!” She shouted as she dashed toward him with the scythe aimed at me.

My fist pointed at her.

Our attacks clashed and a bright light engulfed us.

I faced the other direction, looking behind me, she was also facing the other way.

Illous turned around and there were no wounds on her.

Then, my mouth spilt out blood and I fell to my knees.

Our eyes interlock as I raised my head.

She smiled, “Ahahahaha… you lose, handsome boy!”

“Hehe.”

“Oh? Are you accepting your faith?” She questioned me, stilled with the same smile on her face.

I coughed out blood, “No.”

“But you are!” My left hand showed her, my fingers.

Multiple purple lightning web-like strings on my finger.

Behind her, the sword hovered through the air, with a single finger movement, the sword aimed at her.

Yellow Lightning.

I channelled the yellow lightning through the web and onto the sword.

The sword began to emit a bright yellow colour.

She looked behind her, “H-How?”

“It’s my speciality.”

I closed my hand to make a fist.

The swung flung toward Illous at lightning speed.

The sword got closer to her.

My eyes caught her smiling.

Huh?

Then, the unthinkable happened.

She swapped her place with one of her children and worse of all.

That spiders had Camilla teleported as well.

No!

The sword stabbed the spider and her together.

They passed me and headed to the wall behind.

A loud booming sound from behind as the whole room filled with a bright yellow light.

Red.

I looked behind me, Camilla and the spider laid on the ground.

The spider was burned into crisp and as for Camilla, half of her face was burned.

My body move on its own and ran toward her.

I pushed the spider away from her.

“C-Camilla?”

No respond.

Is she unconscious? Is she dead? Please respond!

My hands began to tighten on her arms.

Green Lightning.

The green lightning emitted from my body, and it coursed through my finger and to her wounds.

The lightning healed her wounds as well as her appearance.

But, stilled no response.

Why can’t you breathe?

“Ahahahaha… You’ve just killed your friend.” She mocked me as her laugh echoed throughout the room.

Her children also followed her in their own ways.

“I- I’ll kill you,” I glared at her.

Red Lightning!

I dashed toward her in a fit of rage.

Her eyes widened and formed a wall of web in front of me.

But, I smashed through the web like paper.

She jumped away to her left.

“You won’t go away!” I shouted.

My legs kicked the air and dashed toward her.

She formed two swords and three dark spears.

The weapons flung toward me as she positioned her hand in front of her.

My left hand waved in the air.

A wall of red lightning appeared in front of me and blocked the attack.

I snapped my fingers, two red lightning swords, and three red lightning spears flung toward her from the wall.

They stabbed her arms and legs, preventing her to climb, run or jump.

I appeared before her and started to punch her without mercy.

My hands punched her face, stomach and body.

As for my legs, they kicked her lower half.

I snapped my finger again and the weapon disappeared.

My left hand grabbed her hair.

Her eyes rolled at me.

“Ha… have mercy…” Her voice was soft, but I didn’t care, she hurt Camilla.

I threw her body to the ground and aimed my legs at her as my body began to descend at the speed of light.

My legs crashed on her body; it created a small crater.

Her children tried to attack me from all sides.

“Get the fuck away!” I snapped my finger and the red lightning struck them and they burned into nothingness.

“For… Forgive me… She still… can be save…” She looked at me with tears flowing through her cheeks.

“Do you know what the monster calls me?”

“I I know.”

“Say it.”

“Red…. Red Demon…”

“Good,” I plunged my fist at her face and continued the action over and over again.

“That’s some nice legs you got there,” I told her in a calm tone as my eyes looked at them.

My hand grabbed the first legs and ripped them off.

She screamed and her voice had a nice ring to it.

I began to rip her other legs, one by one because I wanted to hear her scream.

After that, my hand continued to punch her body and face even faster than before.

She spilt out blood and began to lose consciousness.

My face got closer to her face.

“I’m not done yet,” I snapped my finger and a bolt of green lightning healed her.

Then, my hands picked her up and smashed her on the wall.

I kicked her spider body, over and over and over again.

“I’m bored… now you die,” I focused my red lightning on my right hand.

My right hand plunged at her face but stopped in front of her.

“Emil! Stand down!” The Guild Master called my name as his shadow grabbed my hand.

“She killed Camilla!”

“No! She’s still alive.” Someone told me.

My eyes rolled at the source of that voice.

It was one of our healers.

“Camilla is okay, she just needs healing, she’s a tough cookie,” The healer said.

“Control yourself, Emil,” The Guild Master said.

I closed my eyes, and the red lightning began to calm down.

Aftermath.

“Sorry, sir,” I bowed my head.

“Don’t-,” The Guild Master cough out blood.

“Master, drink this,” The healer handed him a red potion and the Guild Master drank it.

“Much better.” He smiled.

“I still have my task to finish,” I told him.

“Go finish it,” The Guild Master said.

My head turned toward the defeated Illous.

I took out a transparent orb.

“Seal,” I chanted.

The orb and Illous started to lighten up.

Illous disappeared from my sight, and I looked over at the orb.

She was inside the orb.

My eyes rolled to the cocoon on the wall.

Blue Lightning.

I created three clones of me.

We began to remove the cocoons from the web and laid them on the ground.

I ripped off the cocoons and the healer checked on them.

“They’re all in good health.”

“Good,” The Guild Master said.

Camilla opened her eyes and raised her body.

“Camilla! Y- You alright.”

“I’m….”

Good.

Before she could speak, I hugged her and she gasped.

“W-what are you doing?”

“I thought I almost lost you.”

“Y-you’re squeezing me”

“Oh! right, I’m sorry,” I released my hands from her.

She was red like a tomato.

“Are you sick?”

“No… it’s just too sudden.” She told me.

I stood up and held my hands in front of her.

“Come, our task has finished.”

She grabbed my hand and stood up.

“We’ll be leaving now. Don’t worry about them, they will be handed to the hospital,” The Guild Master said, “By the way, Camilla, I think you should tell him.”

Tell him? who?

With that, the Guild Master, the healer and the three adventure along with the body of their comrades teleported away, leaving us.

“What did he mean by that?” I looked at Camilla.

Wait! She did have something to say before the alarm rang.

“What did you want to tell me before?” I asked her.

“I….,” She paused.

“I?”

“I’m pregnant.” She closed her eyes.

“Pregnant!” I gasped, “That’s great.”

She smiled, “Thank you.”

“Oh yeah, who’s the father?”

“Huh?” Her left eyebrows raised.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Ugh… I’m sorry my child, it looks like your father is very stupid.”

“Eh?”

Did my ears play tricks on me?

“It’s yours.” She crossed her arms.

Wait! What? “Me?”

She nodded.

There was a pause between us, I didn’t know how long we stared at each other.

“Come on, let’s go.” She ordered.

I fell to my knees.

I’m too young to be a father.

She grabbed me by the collar and called the receptionist to teleport us back to the guildhall.

A bright light engulfed us, and we appeared at the guild house.

“What happen to him?” One of the members asked Camilla.

“Shock.”

“Shock?” They asked in unison.

“We have an announcement.”

They were listening close as I was on my knees.

“I’m pregnant and the father is Emil.”

Quiet. Then, they burst into screamed of joy.

The females congratulate Camilla, and the males congratulate me.

They were saying stuff but my thought was not there…

My thought was on my money and savings.

“Hey!” Camilla snapped me back to reality.

I looked at her.

“Don’t worry, we’ll make it work somehow,” she grabbed my hand.

I tightened my grip and told her, “Yeah… we’ll make it work.”

“By the way, how much money you got?” Camilla asked.

It was the same predatory eyes.

“Ughhh….”

Oh fuck me!

There’s goes my money and savings.
