《I study magic, for destruction?》Chapter 12

“No need to come, you’ll be a hindrance.” I said, standing outside the jet-black tower.
The tower leaned diagonally with small windows across the glossy bricked surface. A giant black door with the picture of an open book was etched into the stone. There didn’t seem to be any kind of knob but when I pushed, it wouldn’t budge at all.
Leah stood beside me, biting her lip with which I presumed to be anxiousness. Unless she has some kind of weird fetish? Does dying excite her?
“You don’t even know what’s in there,” she said with that nauseating tone, “to our knowledge it could be filled with the beastmen or other kinds of creatu—“
I walked forward and laid my palms against the slimy stone. I focused my energy to flow out my hands. The door soon became encoated in the ice, should probably be enough. I stepped back and got ready to shoot a spell at it. However, the large door took a blast from a spell casted from my side. The flame torrent shattered the ice along with the door, opening a path to the inside.
I tilted my head backwards and saw Leah with her arms held out, a small bead of sweat going down her eyebrow. It was pretty. I give her that, but what’s the use in someone with weak limits?
I gave a little smirk and a clap before turning around to walk inside the giant hole. It was just one giant circular room with stairs on the other side and a low ceiling. Cracks all throughout the walls with small pebbles crumbling down to the floor.
“What kind of dungeon is this?” asked Leah.
“Let’s find out.”
I snapped my fingers and every object in the room including Leah, started to float. In the middle of the room, there was a part of the ground wiggling, trying to budge through. A trap?

“Put me down! Heights are not on the list of things I enjoy.”
“You’re afraid of heights? How is a witch who flies scared of heights?”
“Flies? Flying is for the lazy, I prefer to utilize um… more advanced magic as a means for transportation. Now put me down!”
I snapped again and all the floating objects fell onto the ground. I walked forward to the jutted square. I heard a thud behind me along with a pained groan. It’s not like I rose her fifty feet into the air. No need to be overdramatic.
The piece from before stuck halfway out of the floor. There were unfamiliar patterns along the sides along with some symbols. Elven? What kind of language is this? I know quite a bit of elven tongue but these symbols are something obscure. Ancient even.
I stood up and hovered my hand over the square piece. I blinked rapidly until the wiggling became harsher. It shot up into my hand, smaller than I imagined.
My nose scrunched up. The sudden smell of something rotting became apparent. The tower rumbled violently and I lost my balance, falling onto the floor.
“Leo!” yelled Leah, running towards me.
The wall behind her crumbled, blocking the entrance behind large debris. Large pieces of stone started to crumble and fall on us. I waved my hand in an arc to cast a barrier around myself.
I turned to cast a barrier onto Leah but she instead summoned a flame pillar to break an incoming stone to pieces, the small pebbles exploding along the area. I’m even more intrigued about this little witch.
The rumbling ceased.
She turned to me. Blowing her hair up from her face, her small chest going up and down. Her sweating became more visible. Is she already reaching her limits? We have only just begun.

THUD!
The ground shook once more and I looked towards the bottom of the stairs.
A fleshless leg of just bones appeared. First it was one pair, then another, and another. Soon there were more than a dozen standing along the stairs. The low ceiling crumbled in front of the stairs revealing the fleshless beings with yellow glowing eyes in its skulls .
An undead dungeon...shit.

Trickster's Luck (Fantasy LitRPG)
Not all luck is good luck. Maya found herself at a character creation screen. Who was she before this? Why was she creating a character? What was the game? No idea. But she had nothing better to do and no reason not to play along. And when given the option for a rare luck-based starting class, how could she turn it down? It was rare and special! That must make it good. Right? Character-focused, low-stakes, post-death upload. Hard system: if the stats say she loses a fight, she'll lose the fight. Randomized outcomes: I roll dice behind the scenes regularly, so events flow according to the whims of chance. Nothing is set in stone. There is an overarching plot, but how the details play out and what path we take to get there is up to fate.

The Adventures Of Heegan, Bleegan, Hoogan, and Bloogan: The Search For The Enchanted Toad Of Delarmir
This is a tale of four young goblin brothers, whose adventures and calamities are told as legends and jokes throughout the land. But they were first inspired by legends they heard, before ascending into one themselves; a reminder that simple beginnings can be the start of something great. Written for my D&D 5e party after they demanded I write an actual story about a children's book they found in one of our sessions, so I wrote it as it would appear in game as a childrens story. I took a very different approach on writing it, so do not be too disappointed when you find out it's not written at first grade reading level. Feedback is much appreciated, as I have never produced anything like this and I do hope I manage to entertain at least a few of you. New chapter releases to be within 3-5 days of one another (Work is now complete, do not expect new chapters).
